In need of someones expertise again. My headlight bulb has blown on my import Zed. I am going to have a go at converting it to take the UK bulbs. Can't believe the price of the Jap spec ones (£18 each! ) so feel it will be worth it. I just need to know what the bulb code is in Halfords. I looked in the little booklet and it said it was 448. the thing is its only a single prong bulb and I though the ones I needed were 2 prong. Its also only 55 watt. Seems a bit low to me. Any ideas? Cheers, Justin

Guys, need some advice please, whilst avoiding a dirty great juggernaught wanting altogether to much road I rode up onto grass verge...lost the back end and then smacked into kerb other side at about 30mph hard (narrowly missing said juggernaught) with the rear nearside wheel. i know I have bent the lower arm and other than having scratched the feck out of the rear alloy what other damage should I be looking for in particular. i.e is there anything particualrly weak or susceptable to bangs like this. any advice much appreciated as I've only had the Zed 6 months and haven't found a mechanic zed expert in the area yet (Reading, in case anyone knows of one..) and…

Right, I'm swapping my Plenum next weekend (all the gaskets I need will be here by then) Firstly, any help advice will be appreciated as I know it's a pig of a job. Secondly, I was told to buy hose for the water by-pass (I've forgotten what, and why!!) and help on this would be greatly appreciated, i.e. where to get it from, and where it fits etc, etc... Finally, if someone wants to help me get it done, there's plenty beers, food and morale support available!!!!! :D Anything else I need to know??? :) (fingers crossed) Matty.

The passenger side front shock is leaking. I assume it's just got to be a matter of replacing it (and of course the matching drviers side one)? I want to keep the height the same, so just after a standard pair... anyone know wher'es the cheapest to get them from, or does anyone have any low mileage ones for sale (Jap spec)? How many labour hours do you thibk it'd take to fit them... need to weigh up whether I can be bothered to do it myself or just pay someone and be a lazy arse. Cheers, David

Hi, just did an auto box self diagnostic and it came up with a code , 3, throttle sensor disconnected/shorted. Now the car has a brand new TPS, which is set up correctly and reads the correct volts etc when closed, both cables seem well connected at the top end , does anybody know if there is a multiplug on the box and if so- where should I be looking for it, and are there any continuity tests I can do to try and trace the fault. Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance

Just came to popping a new stereo into my Z and I seem to be a bit stumped, checked and identified the live for the ignition and dash illumination but the constant live seems dead, checked all the fuses and they all seem ok. (btw what kind of a crap place is that for a fuse box!!!!) ;-) Any ideas before I loose my patience and just run a new live from the fag lighter!!!

Hello all, I've just got myself a 300zx TT as a bit of a toy and having spent about half what I originally planned on the car I've got a few grand burning a hole in my pocket and wanted to hand it over to a decent garage for a few bits of work that need doing. Any suggestions for a decent garage that know thier way around a 300 in the Basingstoke area? Also needs a new paintjob, if you've had some nice work done by any local bodyshops I'd appreciate a recommendation.. Thanks in advance. Dave

OK let's pretend that I'm not on about the MR2 here but I know that you guys are up for a challenge! LOL :) Right, car doesn't lose any coolant, convinced that coolant is being circulated around the engine in the correct manner...however...my temp guage sometimes reads cold all the time, then other times it has some inspired motivation and reads closer to where most jap cars temp guages should be. Scoops reckons that my thermostat could be on the perm open setting. Could it be the sensor? TIA
