Hi. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this. I've replaced the tie bars which did nothing. It doesn't do it in reverse only forwards so can't be disk warp. I think the tracking may be toeing in slightly because the tyres seem to be rapidly wearing on the outer edge. The camber of the road seems to affect which way the car "pulls" too. Can toe-in cause vibration ? maybe under heavy braking the wheels are toeing inwards even more? Any suggestions would be helpful as I'm stuck with this one. Car has just been MOT'd too! Thanks Dave.

I have been having problems with my rad, one side hot, the other freezing. Like most people had considered either a new standard rad, or an uprated one. However, was out doing a bit today and found some kitchen descaler in the garage. What the hell, methinks, in she goes, done 12 sachets in there as one is meant to do a standard kettle, and started her up. Now the temp guage normally sits bang on 80 degrees, no matter what, after five minutes of running, it shoots straight up to 100 and starts flashing a warning, so I take off the cap (carefully!) and she is well low on water, fill her up to the top and let her run on. The guage settled at 75 dgrees, and fo…

OK, the car has recently had engine and auto box oil change. All looked fine, except now when you start the car, and put it in drive, the car will stall. If you leave the car to warm up for a few minutes, it's fine. Does this sound like someones not put the correct type or amount of oil in, or could it be something else. I'm tempted to get the gearbox oil redone. Whats the correct spec and quantity of oil for the (Jap) autobox? Alex.

Just driving back from footy, had adjusted the boost contoller again a bit to see if I could tweak response a bit. My car was running fine, although boost was dropping off a bit due to the new settings, but I haven't gone over board on settings I don't think. Didn't touch the unit again, but hitting boost again a few miles up the road, car felt a bit slower. Slowed down and it flelt like it was running rough suddenly. At low speed the idle is not too lumpy but the car feels like it's running on 5 cylinders. It souns very rough and the engine is shaking a bit when you rev it. There is no smoke, can't see any pipes off at least at the top of the engine. What …

Right guy's. Tried a couple of other things on my tickover missfire now.. It only does this on tickover but when it revs above 2000 it goes away. The missfire is centred around the middle spark plug on the passenger side. Here's what i've replaced:- PTU (cheers Chunk) Injector connectors Coil pack connectors Swapped coil pack Swapped spark plug Temp sensor harness Carried out ECU diagnostic - code 55 Made sure all the terminals in the PTU plugs are connecting. Used an engine fuel cleaner (Forte) Has anyone got any more suggestions on this before I tear my hair out? Cheers Ivan

I can get a repair kit for the master cylinder for £15.00 from Nissan. Will this fix most of the problems that are likely to occur and how easy would it be to fit? Thinking of ordering one as a precaution to get this thing working.

Hi all, Got a bit of a problem with the revs dropping below idle speed when slowing down - especially from 50mph+ speeds. It sometimes picks up again but often stalls (most embarrassing!). I can often avoid the problem by changing down through the box as I'm slowing down. This problem is definately worse since fitting Blitz BOVs on hardpipes. I'm pretty sure I've ruled ouut any chance of a leak. I've capped the points on the intake where the original recircs connected, capped the outlets from the recircs and connected my vacuum lines to the recirc vac lines. I've left the recirc vacuum connectors open - do these also need capping?? The BOVs seem to work ok but I…
