i had a mobile number for a zed mech called Martin who lives near Horsham/Crawley and from previous threads did some work for members...does anyone know if he has changed it or moved away...or gone on hols like a sensible person would...? cheers

My Jap rad ( in a NA) has gone west, top hose conn. snapped of, ouch ( on M5 ). On top of that the AA managed to damage wing on recovery! Andy can get me a UK Rad plus sep. auto box cooler, but is this an easy straight swap and adapt or are there any pitfalls. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks guys

Have you guys found a decent price on a hard pipe kit? If so, where did you find it? I'd like to replace those boost hoses with those nice shiny pipes! Thanks, Marty :cool:

How do I know if I already have a grounding kit on my car ? Its a recent import and Ive got lots of black wires coming off my battery with 'battery booster' written on them. They travel around the engine bay and I have a suspicion its a grounding kit. Can anybody give me further info on how to tell ??

Help! I just tried to get into my Z and it wont let me in!!! I pressed the button on the alarm fob and nothings happening, and yes, the fob battery is ok, and is lighting up when the buttons pressed. I hav'nt pressed the wrong button, and the button on the side of the fob is in the correct position. Any idea fellas? :confused: :confused:

Hi, I am not well up on exhausts (as you can tell from this thread..) Car sounded strange today looked underneath and I have a hole in the pipe just before it joins the silencer - the other side looks like its about to go too.. How many sections are there to the 300zx 2? Down pipes & rear silencer? How much do the rear standard nissan sections cost roughly? I was looking at a stainless steel exahust (£120 + £330 for mongoose) which is a bit more than I can afford. Are there any others cheaper (skin-flint alert! :p ) that are any good?? Can I just add a stainless steel rear exhaust system to a standard set of front pipes without any problems? …

so I can check if everything is ok before doing upgrades ? please ? :duffer:

Do i need to change my ecu to fit a boost controler?or is the ecu ok to take 1 bar? Any help appreciated. :confused:

Hi, I currently own a 200sx, but am looking to get a 300zx can anyone give any advise on what to look for, and wether a manual or automatic would be better etc etc.

Heading North on M1 on Sunday i was the fella in the black SWB. Nice to see three zeds filling the M1. Also driving up M1 later on along side red G reg for a fair distance, after pulling out of service station at same time. Who are ya?

Noticed a silver Zed on a F plate Z on Saturday in the 300zx plot, it had side skirts and Mania Pacific wheels, anyone got pics of it, or who knows who it is? These wheels are on my short list. Barry.

fitted an apexi powerflow kit at billing at the weekend thanks stev-o for the help getting that arc shopping trolly air filter out :eek: 2 things how come i dont get any nice chattering or whooshing sounds,sad i know!the apexi doesent sit directly infront of the mesh on the front bumper. So i take it maximum airflow doesent get through the apexi! Also do you get any benefit from fitting extra pipes from the bumper to the cone gueesing even more colder air will pass through the filter thanks for any advice greg :bow:

On offer to anyone in the area that wants to use it. However if there is anyone in the area that know how to use it I would welcome a lesson. I have had a look and even with the instructions and a service manual I'm not sure what I'm doing. Bought a brake cylinder bracket from Billing from DTA. Problem is that i never got any instructions or asked anyone how to fit it :o Before i moved or did anything would check with you guys first. ;)

got some bovs to fit, but any advantage to removing the recircs' or leaving them in? they don't "goose honk" and is it easier to leave them in place ie i wouldn't have to cap the pipes off would i?? thanks:)

to gain access to faulty kph - mph speed convertor, what do I need to do ?

I've spoken to a guy down in plymouth, its a jap tt auto, sounds ok, nice chap, and he tells me the boost guage is in the middle all the time. Looking at the buyers guides, this indicates something wrong, mtl tells me could be pipe loose/disconected or just no boost, but I really wouldnt have a clue where to look, or how to tell! Anyone in the plymouth area able to come look with me? I'm coming from brighton and its a v.long up to 7 hour drive for me.. Free bag of sweets! and i'll pay for your fuel?

Ok so on the way to billing my motor was running fine, had a nice run in with a carrera on the way to meet greg and fried him :D Half way there my Z started playing up, smoking on rundown after high boost and also went into safety boost and started detting :S On the way back though the car was running mint? No smoke, no safety boost, no noises no nothing, just went really well. Went for a quick drive around town earlier, opened her up, let off large pop out the zorst and now the car sounds like a scoobie !!!! :confused: Would I be right in saying cylinder probs? has anyone ever rubbed down and sprayed their alloys if so what were the results like and what paint did you use ? thanks steve
