Was a fair bit of interest in the howe rad bracket/cover i had at billing same as Coz's. I was talking to someone with a koyo rad who offered to be a guinea pig for me before i go into mass production ( of about 10 :D ) If yer here please get intouch so i can post this one out soon as poss as any alterations needed could be done and sales completed intime for Trax. cheers smithy

Im gona be giving the Z an oil change soon and I remember reading a thread about what oil people use but havent managed to find it. At mo I think since being imported in 98 its had Silkoline XTR. What do you guys use and the weight of it etc. Thanks, Hanksy

Spotted a 'Brown', :confused: , P reg convertable in Grantham today (29th) at the junction of Manthorpe Road and Belton Lane traffic lights, around 11:40 (am) Dont supose it's anybody on here, but thought it was strange on such a lovely day like today, he had the roof up :confused:

I opened up the front panel where the air filter goes and looked down towards the bottom left of the front bumber (from inside). There are 2 metal shiney circular things with 'Bosch' written on. They are located where the front bumber has some slits (presumably for air) What are these ? Hope the description is not too vague and dont laugh Im still a amateur trying to work out my wonderful new Zed

Does anyone know how many rubber hoses are on the coolant system? it seems that everytime i have one replaced another one lets go!!!!! so i need to know so that i can get them all replaced at once....

when i was retriming th interior i noticed tht th passenger side of my car had a long narrow black plastic panel that fitted below th glove box, is there supposed to be one of these on th drivers side too cos i dont have one? yaseen

i have been thinking over this for quite a while, i love my totally original z the reason i bought is loved the shape loved the style etc. however every time i come on to the forum i feel i am depriving my car of all thes lovely extras so i have to decide do i keep a really well maintained totally original z or do i start modifying also do those of us that choose the former get the same respect as the modders, in an ideal world i would like one of each, ah maybe soon

I'm thinking about getting hold of one of these to correct BOV stall/idle problem and have a couple of questions for anyone who has a SAFC2 installed: Just by installing it and leaving it alone (ie not messing with it and blowing up the engine) will it fix the above problem? Will taking it in to be professionally tuned help increase bhp? Thanks guys.

Guys, I have one of these, bought it from some guy of here who said it worked but never has since I fitted it! This one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=9886&item=7913538129&rd=1 has an invertor, mine doesnt, is that the reason mine doest work? I wired the two wires from it straight onto the rear light but nothing happens when I turn my lights on!!! Any ideas anyone? :confused:

Going to be fitting some Blow off Valve's soon but have noticed on most modified Z'eds people don't mount them directly off the throttle body pipe and normal mount them off the turbo pipe below instead - is there any reason for this?! Is it because it by-passes the re-circulating Bov's? Somebody please help as I need to know the best place put them for maximum effect!!

Hi all :) I'm interested in a Z, it all sounds good, just a few questions I've got. 1) It has a Paul Bailey rear spoiler on it - personally, not my flavour, and ideally I want to be spoilerless. Am I able to swap tailgates with another Z? or has anyone removed a spoiler successfully without damaging it to re-use? 2) How easy is it to remove the front bumper and to attach a new one. I've done this on several (smaller) cars, the replacement bumper is a 99 spec one. 3) It's done 70,000 miles, and I read that post about a turbo "expectedly" failing at this mileage - is this normal then? and should I really be budgeting for new turbos as a matter of course?…

Since having my cam covers off and removing/refitting the temp sensors on the top water pipe I've been having problems. The electric fan seems to come on as soon as the car has warmed up. I can then park up, wiggle the connector (the yellow block) and the fan seems to switch between off/low/high speeds. If I then switch off for an hour or two and restart the engine, the electric comes back on immediately. My after market temp gauge is only showing about 85 degrees when at full temp and it doesn't have to be a warm day... I have stripped back the tape on the wiring and exposed the sender as much as I dare and all looks fine. Can the sender itself develop …

i have seen many threads recommending upgrades of one part or another...could any members provide a list of essential upgrades a stock zed owner should consider to have many more years of hassle free driving...i'm not talking about performance upgrades or styling as i find the stock set up great :dance: ...just pro-active replacement of stock bits Nissan never made that well in the first thanks in advance

When my top rad pipe let go on the M5, snapped off. pretty explosive. I thought it was just the plastic top conn. had failed. Its a 91 NA auto by the way. Getting replacement rad. but had a thought that it might be the head gasket??? causing excess pressure! AA made temp conn. and got home OK, no further water loss, but eventually leaking again as not much left to connect to. left rad cap loose so no pressure build up. Anyway to check other than to fit new rad and see what happens?

Got to do either a psiton or valve on the zed as either the rings are f***ed or a valve is stuck open. My question is can the pistons be removed from the bottom? I will be doing this monumental job myself sometime in the future so I need the easiest way of doing this so I thought if I could get the sump off will I be able to take them out from the bottom? Ivan

Previously put this at the end of another thread but now realised i should start a new thread... so here goes... Just imported a late 1994 TT. Have been considering what to do to it before putting it on the the road. I have 8 weeks to spare as it wont be 10 years old until then and its not worth doing an SVA for the sake of a few weeks. I have decided to get a 1999 front bumper (best price so far £300) 1999 indicators (best price so far £50). Not sure about side skirts and rear, do people usually bother? Can you get side skirts like the 1999 model? Does it look much better with these as well? Will leave the rear spoiler as it is the later raised type. Also …

Just imported myself a late 1994 Twin Turbo and am slightly confused. I see posts about adding an aftermarket boost dial as they are not accurate, but my car does not have one at all on the speedo dial! Is this normal??

Was washing my HKS super dragger today and I accidently sprayed thye hose pipe inside the exhaust (im an idiot I know) Later on (abnout 3 hours later) I was booting the car on the motorway and I changed from 4th to 5th there was a puff of blue smoke. This smoke does not happen at idle and I could only re-create the event (to a lesser extent) at high revs, changing from 4th to 5th. Could this be a result of exhaust and water or is it a bigger problem. As I said didnt happen on idle or in any other gear.
