Guys, gonna be fitting the grounding Kit from Zevans very shortly (Cheque on its way mate ;) ), does anyone have a diagram of the best points to use?

Hello again, It's becoming a major job planning all the stages of modding my car, but I'm slowly getting there... next stage is performance, already done the filter (blitz) and the catback exhaust is on its way. I'm planning on a remapped ECU and a greddy boost controller so I can have sensible boost (12psi??) most of the time and silly boost (14-16psi??) on the odd occasion to try to eek out the life of the standard tubs as long as I can. Now I'm a little paranoid about blowing things up as I have done in the past on other cars by going about it in the wrong way (massive boost upgrades and no consideration to cooling) Along with fitting a set of oil …

purchased car a couple of weeks ago and am replacing air filter and exhaust. which ones am i best going for without spending a fortune? the car is a uk tt on a j plate, has the exhaust got cats or can i take them out legally?

anyone got any suggestions for some grooved discs {cheepish} cant afford likes of brembo etc just ordered some kevlar pads from smithy keeping stock calipers,told these are quite sufficiant so was thinking about changing discs at the same time as pads any suggestions

car seems to have been fine for some time, drove to billing with no power loss problems. drove home from work today, nice hot day air con on everything was fine until, i was sat for 10 mins trying to get out of a juntion. when i finally saw a gap put my foot down and it felt like a 1.1 metro. no power, stock guage was showing what i guess is saftey boost, but she felt like she wasnt boosting at all, come to think of it i would say she was producing a lot less power than an na. got home, switched of engine back on again and boost was back. turned off engine opened bonnet and sounded like the water was boiling, sounded like in the rad then, on more investigation sounded…

Hello all, I have a JWT chip (not ECU just the chip) which I was going to put in my car this weekend (a 1993 UK spec, TT, manual with a 1994 engine!). Now, I've heard that the later cars changed their ECUs. Anyone know when this was from? Anyone else got a 93+ car and chipped it with a JWT? I don't know much about the chip - it was just described as a JWT for a manual TT. The code on the chip is just the manufacturers details for the chip. Doubt an EPROM reader would tell me much either - or am I wrong there? Anyway, just wondering if there IS any differences with these things and what the consequences could be if it's wrong. Saw a Z with a single grill in the head light panel and was wondering where i could get a similar panel? I've seen some on Z Centre, but the only single grill on there is located at the bottom of the panel. I'm after one at the top. Any help would be mostly appreciated (if it helps i think the Z was silver). Thanks

Hello I have tested and reset TPS which was out before it is set at 0.44 volt and rises to 3.89 volt at WOT there is no jumps in the reading just a steady increase. But with the ignition on at between 0.8v and 1.30v while moving the accelorator linkage back and forth i hear a clicking or vibration behind the dash/firewall which is the same noise i get when the engine is running and it hesistates....if i start the engine it bogs between 0.8v and 1.40volts and makes the clicking noise until you got beyond 1.40v then the engine picks up and the cicking goes away. Any ideas???? would i have a bad relay or control unit other than the ECU that would cause the noise and…

hi all well i finally found out where my smoking problem is coming from, it seems oil is being drawn from the two breathers at the top of the rocker cover and is being sucked into the inlet side of the turbo!!!! why is it doing this is it a breather problem or ptu problem maybe both is it worth me changing all the hoses and ptu valves ??? any help greatly appreceated !!! :bow: :bow:

Howdy, Any one from here going to Ten Of The Best on Sunday? Think it's down near York. Taking the z down for a run out. It hasn't been on a long run since I got her, so gonna see how she performs. Not entering tho, she's a manual non-turbo SWB. Hoping for some sun so I can dazzle people with the bright pearl yellow paintwork :) Hope to see some of you there.

Last two days the Zed has lost boost, was ruinning 14ish psi with boost jets, now its back to standard boost, maybe very very slightly over. Cant find any leaks or hoses off or anything amiss? Any ideas or anyone had the same thing and found the issue? As normal many thanks for any input you can offer.

What gasket do you use on the T28 to Dump Header? If no gasket then what. Need answers ASAP as Garage in process of putting together and none came with it.

Does anyone know what the bulb type is for the side repeater and whether you can get the silver/clear ones which glow orange? Regards, alex

my zed sometimes idles at 1600 revs but i switched on the EVC1 ond the zed idles at 1000 revs until i touch the brake pedal and it drops to 700revs take my foot off the brake pedal and it goes back to 1000. will my chip be designed to run properly with the EVC on? I have and unknown jap chip & HKS EVC1 could my zed have been an AUTO once! cheers

Up until today, my ariel only came up when I turned on the radio. Today it decided to go up as soon as I turned on the stereo, whether it was the tuner or not I had on. Has anyone got any idea what's changed? Why might it have started now, all of a sudden doing that? Cheers

Hi all My zed went into safety boost again this afternoon. All was fine until about half way home when I tried to overtake 3 cars :eek: The last time this happened it was a hot day too and the car wouldn't boost over 7 psi after driving for half an hour....... Why does this happen? It is fine early morning when it's still cool Am I getting det (couldn't hear it?) or is it the sensor wiring? Any thoughts....... Richard :(

Hi all I need Help!!! My Zed will not pull away it just bogs badly,if you rev it theres a noticable flat spot then it picks up.. It idles perfectly until you try to pull away then in just bogs and trys to cut out.and sometime does. it starts first time every time but is powerless...... I thought it was the AFM but when you disconnect it the ZED cuts out. i thought it may be the throttle position sensor as it only cuts out if you disconnect the bottom connector, but still runs with no change if you leave the bottom connector connected but disconnect only the main connector which fits to the main body of the TPS.... Any Help Please !!!! i am only getting a…
