Hello all, firstly i'd like to congratulate you all on a very cool website, and secondly i'd like some help or advice?! After wanting a nissan 300 for years I purchased one recently. The thing is there is a severe vibration coming through both seats, it starts about 30mph and stays up about 80mph! The vibration becomes more apparent under hard acceleration. (although my girlfriend finds it quite pleasant its driving me nuts)any ideas? do they suffer from prop shaft bearing wear? I dont think its wheel balance and all my tyres are nice and round. It's a 91 non turbo manual with 60k on the clock, Another question - i'm also replacing the existing st…

Fitted my new underdrive pulley, cam belt covers, hard pipes etc today. Just need to replace the water pipes and radiator etc tomorrow. The hard pipes came with 5 silicone tubes to replace the 5 hoses that normally go into the intake pipes. Is it ok to simply replace these? I noticed in 2 of the stock hoses there were little wire brush thingys? Also, when i refill the radiator how do i bleed it etc? Cheers Scott

Used washer additve and screenex, no difference, just squeek bloody squeek!! So I changed the blades for New super dooper Bosch ones (£12 notes each) gauranteed to clear screen and be silent! Great for 4 days. now guess what------ squeek bloody squeek again, driving me up the wall? as I use the car most days and of course on most days its raining. Any body any ideas, other than changing the windscreen or the car??

Andy I understand you have abit of an engine rebuild on your hands  , but was hoping you might have a chance to look at the suspension setup on my motor. When I had it lowered, I noticed that one front wheel is closer to the front of the wheelarch than the other. Obviously don't want to drive the car until its fixed :( Any chance you can help in the near future??? :D I'm working in St Annes through the week, so could limp it over here one Monday. Cheers Rich

Hi - I had my 300ZXTT for 2 years and never drove another. Eventually it blew a head gasket and had to have new head gaskets and a head reco etc. The car runs much better now and power is good - but there are two things I am unsure about: 1. The turbos now make a slight but clear whine starting about 3000rpm that was never there before - at least not audible. (I have boost jets) 2. I notice a slight amount of oil sludge in the radiator water - am I right to assume after the gasket replacement a trace of oil sludge might appear in the coolant. There is no sign of water in the oil. Its 500km since the head job. The car runs much better than ever now. Somehow t…

run my Jap Spec TT Man with JWT and 12.5psi all good. Went on rolling road and was informed that my mixture was a little rich. decided to up the boost a little more with different boost jets. Now boosts round to 15psi and then bounces between 12.5 and 15 psi. Power feels flat when this happens and can hear a hissing sound... i am sure it is a boost leak but if i hold the power at 4k car seems to stutter a little. Also tried gently bringing on the power and boosts to 15psi until about 4.5k then seems to start bouncing again between 12.5 and 15psi. ANY IDEAS PLEASE..??? Spec: JWT, Boost Jets, HKS Intake, Trust Back Boxes, DeCat, HKS BlowOffs, Manual

Hi folks, I have been looking around for a Japsports car for a while and the 300ZX is on my short list. I am due to go and view a 92J TT Auto in the next couple of days which I am told is a UK car and not an import. Is there any simple way of confirming this is so? I am particularly after a UK market car if poss as I understand insurance is cheaper and spec. is a little higher...? Can anyone advise? Apologies if this is a mundane question but the 300ZX is fairly new to me and so I want to make sure I know what I am looking at. Gareth B

i have a 1993 t/t z32. I have not changed the exhaust yet due to the prone oil seals on the turbo and at the mo cant afford new turbo's!! I will get round to it soonish though when i have a spare 2k. I want to know if i can chip the car with a JWT in the mean time to improve the car even though the standard exhaust + turbo's are still on. :hyper:

:hyper: Hi guys Found out why Conzult was saying 25deg btdc and timing light showed 15deg btdc. Back in August i did a compleate 60k service on the car (timing belt etc) turns out i got the belt alingment wrong (winner of pregnant fish award). when i checked the belt this weekend it was a tooth out, thankfully no aparent damage has been done. Strange thing is i never noticed any difference in performance but it could have been there were a few things needing replaced at the 60k service that masked the fault, would have been oblivious to the fault if i had not checked the car with conZult. (cheers Eric)

:duffer: Ok, need real help on this one otherwise it's gonna cost me mega bucks!! My Z is finally being looked at after being laid up in the garage for 2 months, the problem was a turbo coolent hose splitting causing all the water from the system to drain away - after inspecting the rad and hoses the whole lot was full of real thick sludge hence indicating a head-gasket failiure ie the oil has somehow got into the water. The problem is my garage who I trust have done a compression test on the Z and everything checks out OK. The thermostat is also ok to doing it's thing - it's just that the system is blocked solid with sludge so how can it be a head gasket??!!! The …
