Hi Guys Had my Z for week and a half now - and I am wondering why I didn't get one years ago when I first wanted one!!!! What a fun car. I got may hands on a red Jap TT manual SWB with a tin top. I am looking for good sources of info on the car - I see you peope are all really helpfull and it looks like a good forum. Will be looking to do some mods over the coming months - Brakes first - cars in Japan don't do 160mph do they? Anyone know of specialists close to Bristol area? Hi, I am trying to find out if my car is stuck in safe boost or not. I haven't driven any other 300zx's, so I don't have anything to compare with. It is fitted with an aftermarket Blitz gauge with the hose hooked in correctly according to FAQ's I have seen. When I drive, it never goes above 0.7 kg/cm2 (it seems to stop around 0.68) With engine off, it goes to 0. At idle, it stays around -40 cm/Hg. Braking on the engine, it goes to around -55cm/Hg. I have no mods beside induction kit and exhaust (cats still on). Is it likely that the gauge is a bit off, or is the car stuck in safe boost? I have done ECU diagonstics, the LEDs show 55 (all OK). To the Guys in the know how, Is this the complete list of parts needed for the manual conversion? Manual Gearbox Driveshaft Flywheel (all the bolts) Pressure Plate Clutch Disk Pedals (CLutch and Break) Clutch Master Cylinder Clutch Slave Cylinder Clutch Booster Clutch Vacuum Hoses Check Valve Vacuum Tanks (2 of them) Clutch Release bearing Shifter + Shifter Bushing Holder Bracket Lower Dust Boot Upper Dust Boot Manaul Shift Boot Shift Knob I could also do with some instructions. I've got a n/a Z32 import (i know, i know , i should have gone for the TT) its already had a mph conversion. Ever since i've had it, when my speed reaches 115 mph the needle dies and sits back at 0 mph even though the car is still accelerating?? As soon as i slow below about 100 mph it resumes service?? Any ideas???

Gettin one of the new tiny PS2s for the Z and obviously need a screen. I want one to go in the compartment below the head unit but cant really afford a motorised commy outty one. Are pully outty ones available? If not, what about standy ones? Anyway, youve probably guessed i know fook all. Any ideas/recommendations/photos..... Cheers Scott

been offered 2 dump valves 4 my ztt.Will i get any positive gains out of them, will they improve the running of the engine or do they just make a noise?! :confused:

Does anyone know which JWT ecu I need to buy from Stillen to work with UK fuel? They have 2, a Federal emmissions version and a California emmissions version (which i guess is 'greener' / leaner). Will the federal one work with UK fuel, like Optimax? I see some people on here use them but I wasn't sure if it is a JWT map written specifically for UK spec cars and fuel. Cheers!

get hold of a fairladyz badge as on the 350z, I thought one of the readers on here was selling them but i can't seem to find it now :confused: I'm also after some DTM style mirrors similar to the Veilside c1's but with out the holes. Cheers!

Can you use the skyline rear disks with the standard 300zx rear callipers? Has anyone done this? The skyline discs are quoted as 22mm thick. The 300zx discs are quoted as 18mm thick Thanks Martin

As some of you may have gathered by now (he keeps asking wierd questions :rolleyes: ) I'm looking to buy my first Z. How much does it cost to have an autobox car converted to a manual? I'm sure you've been asked this a million times but I've seen a really nice swb and it's an auto (DOH!) I'm not to bad with a spanner but I don't fancy getting the car on stands and trying to lift a box the size of the Z's upto it in December on a driveway. Don't mind swapping the ECU's etc though :D

Can anyone tell me if £500 is a good deal for brand new cat back exhausts? these come with life time warranty and are 2.5 inch diameter with rolled in exit pipes approx 5 inch diameter. These look good and are not to loud. Full shiny stainless front to back!!!!!!!! :hyper:

Hello everyone My mate has a turbo he says is off a 300ZX. He wants to know if its off an auto or manual. Any ideas on part numbers??? I've already looked at http://www.300zx.lv/parts/ but the numbers dont match. Any othe links I can look at? Your help will be much appreciated Andrew

had my zed back from having the gearbox re-built and now every now and again the speedo will flick right round past the 180 mark and the power steering get really stiff (i suppose it must have some sort of progressive valve on the steering wich is enabled by high speed) but the issue is why is the speedo playing up .... ive got a convertor on it from kmh to mph from the zcentre i thought it might be this and got it swapped but it still does it can anyone enlighten me please ????
