Hi guys, I am a bit concered about the temp of the engine, my stock temp gauge never goes above half way but i have heard not to trust this gauge. Does anyone know where i would get a aftermarket one from? How hard are they to install? Cheers Paul

Hello! I'm a finn living in Germany and I like to drive fast..... I just bought a european model 300ZX Twin Turbo automatic yearmodel 1991 with low 99 tkm........ to tease Porsches.... BUT: I have been trying to reach top speed in several occasions, but it gains max 240 km/h...usually only 220-230... (that I can do with my VW turbodiesel too...) secondly 0-100km/h times (hand timing up to 105km/h in speedometer scale) it goes in 7,6-8,0 sec...isn't that too slow too?? The engine sounds really excellent, idle around 850-900, no odd sounds, only injectors faint knocking, no shaking.... it sounds almoust like V8.... The automatic gearbox is also work…

Service manual does not mention this but I need to remove mine to check it and clean it out. I assume it's just a matter of taking the headlight out and it's underneath. Mine seems to be in two pieces - the neck and the tank proper. Any more to it than that? Thanks

ahh she purrs now instead of shitty idle just cleaned up injector connectors runs good as new now cant believe the state they were in talk about growing with corrosion supprised it ran at all like it cant believe how long it took and what a bstd the connectors are to get off ...

My Twin Turbo 1991 import is running on 4 cylinder instead of 6, I have cleaned the injectors connectors, coil pack, swapped the coil, plugs around Constantly same cylinders dont work, ran ECu diag and code 55 ???????.............................................................................. Can any one shed light on this problem???? I am considering buying a new series 2 PTU................................................................... If there is any out there who can fix this problem or shed any light i am will to £pay...

Sorry to ask questions like this guys because I think i know the answer. I have no problem setting up, but for this issue, I think the guys have done a stirling job and every detail is easy to follow. The problem is with my avator, whenever I try to insert a picture I get the too large warning, Ive done my best to shink all the images I have come across, but I suppose shinking will not necessarily lower the amount of picsels, I have limited photo editing software and only seem to have the facility to shrink the image. Can someone help by simply telling me if it is just a case of using some decent editing software that allows me to reduce the actual memory u…

Was flooring it past some golf gti this morning and went off my uk converted dial at 100 (180kph reversed), and it was off the needle then started what it felt like hitting the "limiter", I thought that converting the tachometer to UK normally gets rid of the limiter? Or am i talking rubbish? I thought the limiter kicked in at 110mph which i seemed to have gone past!

Just fitted adjustable top links and tension rods today, and new StopTech slotted disc rotors, and the last sodding bolt of the job, that holds the caliper onto the upright (Ok almost, the wheel still had to go on) stripped the thread in the caliper. It was nowhere near it's specified torque either so it wasn't me being a rock ape... :smw: Anyone had this before, and if so, what did you do? Put a helicoil into the caliper? It's got a bolt and a very thin aerospace k-nut on it at the moment just to get it home. I don't want to cut a bigger thread in it cos then I'll have to drill the upright to a non-standard size... Appart from that, it's like a different car…

Ive got a g300 i think and Prestige in Ricky said "they" couldnt do it cos its operated by a pulley..not a motor, which makes sense i guess..has anyone had it done though? Also is 160-225 about right for the remote start option?

is there an upgrade for the head light bulbs xenon or something as mine are a bit dull and yellow?? thanks :bow:

Having trouble with serial-usb cable. Does anyone run there conzult via cable to usb??!! Or does everyone just use the serial port? All help appreciated.

Hi, my '90 jap spec, TT has has started to rev really low (when idleing) to the piont of almost and sometimes stalling. i noticed a few months ago the revs were a little low but they went up when i put the de-mister on. but its got worse and is reving and spluttering at 500 revs till it stalls. it missfires when you rev the engine once its warmed up. ive done an ECU test and it gets a code 55(no fault) when the engines not running and a code 24(throttle valve full load) when running.i would really appreciate any advice anyone could give me. cheers SI-Z

i was thinking of having an exhaust made up that comes from the turbos then out from the side of the car rather than all the way to the back. Same principal as the racing/drag car exhasut as it obviously get rid of the gases quicker. can this be done on the 300zx and is it safe to do?? any help appreciated

Right its starting to annoy me now but every since i picked the car up (92 tt cars covered 124K) its had a ver slight mis at idle. its not bad and its from both banks of the motor. The car doesnt miss at all when above 1500 - 2000 rpm but its just one of those niggly things i`d like to fix.. the engine is sweet as a nut runs perfectly pulls like a tank no smoke nothing out of the ordinary. it does this when its hot and cold.. anyone have any ideas as to what is causing this problem ????? :( :( :confused:

I have a problem with my steering wheel that it has not been put on properly i though i could take it off and turn and screw it back on but the holes dont line up properly i need to turn this around as it has an arrow and wording saying top(which im guessing means needs to be at top) which it isnt I undid the bolt in the middle but the blasted thing wont budge, i dont know a lot about cars but willing to learn so if you can provide any advice i would appreciate it. i have cleaned all connectors, chaged the plugs and coils around and i am still getting a misfire from the last two cylinders on the passenger side........................
