Can anyone help with some information, I am going to supply some CV and steering rack boots to the raffle, I have various universals but want to supply a set suited to the Z. If anyone has a link or info on the original sizes of the OE ones it will allow me to supply a good kit to the winner which will then be able to be fitted without disassembling the cv/rack joint.(great if your doing it yourself and dont want to retrack and risk damaging the CV joints) I am looking for the dimensions of each cv and front and rear steering racks, specifically the length and open ends of each boot. eg- Front inner cv 110mm long small opening 30mm large opening 80mm etc. Any …

2 questions please one got a set of new tyres for my car when they took off the old ones they discovered that 2 of the outer rims were split and had previously been welded these welds were now splitting and are not safe the wheels are 3 piece split rims 17 compomotive alloys , i looked the company up on the net and contacted them i can ship the 4 wheels back to them and for about 200 each wheel they will replace the rim put in new bolts and totally refurbish each wheel is this worth it does anyone know of the company if i lived over there it would be easier as i could call to them some advise please would be appreciated second queston please if i am getting new w…

after looking for 4 months I have finally bought my first Zed !! bit disapointed though I couldnt find a turbo targa and had to settle for a NA auto, still it only has 49000 miles and is a 1995 model (mreg) I paid five grand for it, would you say this is a fair price, Also does anyone know if I could drop a turbo engine into it, and if so is there any mods that have to be made cheers.

I have upped the boost to 15psi and i can hear a hissing noise when the boost gets to 15 then floats between 12.5 and 15. Asked Vijay about his boost leak detector but he isnt doing them any more. Hi I have a momo race steering wheel, but the horn section is damaged ie it just goes off by itself, does anyone know where i can get a replacement horn bit, bit loathed to take it apart as its been sealed pretty good. Ta

Anyone know if its possible to get a small digital display and have the boost reading , oil pressure reading and water temp reading all from it ??? Something like a small tft screen that can be mounted into the dash rather than use gauges everywhere?? any help appreciated

i know lots of people ask this question but my one is slightly different. i have had a import about three years (i am 27)and have 4 years NCB and 3 points on my licence. The only mods i have declared are: CHIP - BHP stainless steel piping bodykit alloys. cat 1+tracker my renewal quote was £1345 and i thought i`d phone up and ask for discount at which point they told me the computer had made a mistake about the mods and my renewal would be £2000+. The problem is that i have phoned most of the companies recommended but all are quoting over £2000+. what can i do? i changed my zed for a more modified one this year and my premium wasnt affected that much!!…

no not gareth gates :p yesterday i noticed a stuttering after flooring it, so checked the apexi filter to make sure it wasn't getting damp, had it idling and it was purring like a good 'un, driving normal no problems, been out on the motorway tonight and first off it was great, then as i was doing over a ton, i took me foot off the gas, and it started stuttering and jumping, floored it again and it seemed ok (ish) went to where i was going left the car for 1/2 hour and driving back it was deffo better, but still that stuttering when taking the foot off so would be grateful for some pointers where to look first it actually felt like fuel starvation the way it …

that is good experience with Z's that can give me a hand fitting a new cambelt and tensioner? I have never done it before but would keen to learn and save a bit of cash. Im halfway thru replacing the tweed drivers seat cover , with a replacement cover courtesy of Daves_new_zx (thanks Dave :bow: ). Managed to get it 90% of, after fighting with a million of those little metal rings, but Im stuck at the headrest. I cant find how to remove the headrest, or its mounts, which seems to be the only thing holding the cover on now. Any advice, tips or perhaps a scan of a zcentre leather kit instruction sheet or something ? Removed the seat and took it in house to work on (loads of legroom in the zed now :rofl: ). how far is the clutch pedal meant to go down before you can feel some proper resistance as my pedal goes almost half way down before you can feel it doin anything???? im wondering if threre is air in the system or it has a fualt there is no noticable fluid loss and the clutch opperates ok but it bites very low to the carpet any ideas ??? :(

Hi, I have had this intermitent problem for a while though now it is more a problem than not. At low revs (up to 2 - 2 1/2) behaving poorly, especially pulling from stop. Revs to about 1 1/2 then acceleration dies & increases very slowly till past 2 1/2. Sometimes the rev counter will drop 500rpm then start to accelerate again slowly. Sounds a bit rough at these revs too as if it is struggling to keep the revs going - feel a slight pulsing in the revs sometimes, but once past problem range accelerates as normal. I'm contemplating buying a ZX. I currently have a very modded NA MR2, but fancy more power and some turbo boost :D Since I've had the MR2 for a number of years I fancy changing to something else rather than get a turbo version. Few things I'm not sure about though and wondered if anyone can give me some advice, I have read the buyers guide which'll prove helpful if I go and see one. Firstly, I'll probably only have around £3k to spend, and will I be able to get a decent one for that sort of money, I suspect I'll have to go for an older one and are there likely to be any issues/problems with buying an early one? The MOT was just about to expire on my ZED so I took it my local garage to do some pretty minor work and they quoted me some ridiculous figure... So I thought why not have some real fun, go on one last mental blast and do the bits slowly and mod it over the winter... Sounded great like a great plan till I hit a roundabout far too fast and clipped a kirb hard enough to Snap the tension rod on the front supsension.. Can anyone sell me one - better still is there anyone near Hatfield Herts who could look over it and see if its worth fixing or junking and starting again. Cheers Steve
