My aerial has decided to play up and now only goes up a couple of notches. I've tried cleaning it with wd40 but it hasnt helped. Anyone know if i can just buy a universal replacement or will it have to be a nissan one?? I dont think i fancy a second hand one as it is proberly 10 years old and will soon be like mine. Any ideas????

My zed cut out on me for no apparent reason recently. It started OK after about 10 minutes but cut out again within 5! It will start if left for an hour or two, but now always cuts out within 10 minutes. It's at a garage but they don't have a clue :( I thought it was fuel inhibiter switch but they say not. It's not the alarm. Any clues please guys would be greatly appreciated.

ive got a manula z and im after a new surround for it as its got a slight crack from where some twat of an alarm installer (allegedly) has mullered it trying to take it out theres one in the for sale section but its from an auto will this fit the manual i know the vinyl surround is different its just wether the plastic part is going to fit :confused:

i just noticed this plug (yellow/black wire running from it) which had a plastic cap over it and obviously not plugged into anything. it is situated near the passenger side/front fuse box. any ideas what it is?

the engine's been running fine for the last few months then as soon as i wash it it runs lumpy for 10 mins. now its fine again! would something stupid like water getting up the exhaust or air filter cause this?

My Z aways used to fire up at the first turn of the key with no throttle. The last couple of mornings its been a bit reluctant and needs 10 secs of starter motor, sometimes several times, and some throttle pedal before starting. Once it startes, it then hesitates for maybe a half second as if it's on less than six cylinders, then runs fine for the rest of the day. Any ideas what might be wrong? Cheers

I bought some wheels and tyres of somebody on here a few months back and have finally got around to putting them on the car, the tyres were pretty much new (only done about 500 miles) but the buggers keep going down (well 3 of them do) any idea what could be causing the problem?? is it fixable?? or am i fooked??

whats the biggest size turbos advisable to run on a stock engine ? I dont want to have to change the internals as they are running fine but the turbos are next on my list with a straight though exhaust, Also where is a good place to go to get them ??

Help Guys, I have a major electrical problem! Here goes: When the ignition is off the front side lights as well as the back lights stay on and all the little lights on the dash flicker. Now when i take the fog light relay out the lights go off but the dash lights still flicker. And now the temp control cluster does not work i.e the values of temp is not displayed either does any of the buttons. Any ideas on what to do cause i really am losing hope :( Any Suggestions would be well appriciated. Thanks Paul

Hi, I need a little help please. Has anybody come across a problem with their gear changing in a non turbo automatic where sometimes it behaves perfectly and sometimes it just loses itself and either changes gear very high in the revs or not at all? I have, and although it has been to a auto specialist, the only thing he could find on my car was a reported faulty TPS which was changed but did not cure the problem. He thinks it may be an electrical fault. Any ideas anybody ?? Cheers.

I have a box connected to my ECU in the passenger footwell. When I took it to a guy who used to work for turbo technics he said it was to do with a super chip :confused: The box had 4 switches on the side with 0, 1 and 2 modes for each switch. I decided to check it was not just the immobiliser and when I pressed the central locking on my keyfob it clicked as though it had a relay or something inside. I reckon the guy just didnt know what it was and just wanted to look good. Does anyone have any ideas :confused: Also do I need to remove the ECU cover to find out what "chip" I have in? Will the chip have the name/company printed on it :confused: Any a…

I thought I'd put a new stereo in, so I bought a JVC unit and CD changer. The guy installing it can't get the radio to work as 'you need a new coax from the back aerial to the radio'!!! I think he needs some help. Is there anything I need to know about wiring in the radio / aerial section. He has also managed to blow the headlights fuse. Chris Davies :cool:

Fitting aftermarket boost gauge today, and I seem to have unplugged a Vacumm pipe, and I cant find where its supposed to be plugged into. I think its the pipe for the Stock boost gauge, as that now sits at Zero with engine running. Its highlighted in pics below. It had a 3" long S-bend black pipe, which I have removed in the pictures, as it was broke at the end. p.s the red pipe (where this bit of pipe is missing), is that suitable for plugging in the T-piece for new boost guage ?
