My daily driver is an old J plate Sierra 2.0 ghia. It's got about 86,000 on the clock (got all the receipts) and has been good as gold all year I've owned it. The other week I noticed a 'squeeky rattle' every time I pressed the clutch pedal and thought I'd get it looked at some time soon......then of course it let me down in the high street during rush hour.POO! :x: It would not select any gear, until I switched off, put it in gear and re-started the engine. It then worked OK while I limped it 200 yards down the road to a handy garage (owned by some 'friends' of mine :xxx: ) They said that not only had the clutch gone, but also the 'spiggot' bearing behind the flyw…

^^^ Long title I know :D As title, when you fitted it, how much did you have to modify the intercooler ducts? (As per my previous post regarding the info I found in the US.) Or did you ??? ;) Any other tips I need to know, or is it a case of nothing more than fitting a standard one? All probably silly questions, but I like to be fore-armed, if you know what I mean? ;) TIA

Just filled up my windscreen washer fluid as it was empty. Put a couple of litres in and thought I'd fill it up all the way. However, it took a couple more litres and I noticed it pissing out onto the garage floor. Seems to be coming out somewhere directly under the filler :( Is there an overflow somewhere or could it be my headlight washer system which was disconnected when the 99 front end went on? I know this has been covered more than a few times before but it never seems to be settled. What power do TT Zeds put out as standard! :headvswal I know there is specualtion that J spec have more power than UK and vice versa. And then there is Auto v Manual. Then of course, colour makes a big difference :dance: What do you lot reckon my 1990 J spec Manual TT in RED :bow: would be pushing out when new in standard trim? Anyone got any official Nissan figures for all this. anyone know where to go to see 1/4 miles run times and dyno tests on the Z ??

I've asked similar before but I can't find the thread. Where would others recommend for a full service of my Z, I live in Dudley, west Mids but would travel a little for a good centre. Next pardon my ignorance but what and where are the platinum plugs on the Z? What price are they for replacement? Finally there are a couple of things that need tidying up on my Z now the winter has caught up with it, can anyone recommemd a Z friendly bodyshop.

When i start my car from cold it revs its self up and down, sometimes as high as 3000 rpm. Then when its warm its fine. It never used to do this. Does any one know what could cause this??? :confused:

Nothing major this one but since ive put the dash back in my heater (no matter what temp its on) permanently blows hot air !! Even if you notch it down to 10 degrees ! Now either i have a disease or houston has a problem ! Any ideas on this one gents ?

I'm going to put on some new tyres very soon. At present I have some very old Pirelli P700s on but they are not very round any more, possibly causing a vibration. I have some after market rims on that came with the car when I first got it. They are stamped as 'Nissan' on the alloy surface itself and have a centre disc with the name SPARTAN on it. Does anyone know anything about them? The main problrm is the size. They rim is marked 16 x 6 1/2 JJ. and has a 205/55/16 tyre on it. Will this rim take the more usual Jap Spec 225 tyres? Also, Phil from CS Woods commented that the rear wheel could do with a spacer to 'fill in the rear arches a bit more' Are these …

I brought some blue glow dials from america and i need some help/advice on how to sort the calibration. I've got a import Z32 NA, They look like the right ones ( one dial hasnt got boost cut out) My query is this........ My car has normal jap clocks with 190 kph max speed but has a converter on it so it now reads the kph in mph (still with original clocks, needles etc). My new dials have 160 mph and something like 220/240 kph on them. If i change the dials straight over will the speedo be correct or shall i take the conversion off??? I've compared the 2 speedo's next to each other and all 3 readings dont match. Anyone got any ideas??? :confused: :headvs…

After some top advice from this forum, I'm going to replace the one-way valve in my fuel pump. I hope this will sort the problem I have when sometimes the car's slow to fire up. Anyone taken a fuel pump to bits? Any advice? Or advice on taking the fuel pump out? Thanks in advance!

My garage has just replaced my type 1 PTU with a type 2. Now my HID lights do not operate properly. I've been told there is no connection but anyone got any ideas? When I turn on the sidelights 1 headlight and 2 sidelight come on. When I turn on the headlights I get the other headlight and 1 mainbeam, and the main beam switch doesn't work. They were working fine before the electricians got hold :xxx: All advice (even bad) is appreciated :)
