ok, switch car ignition on (but dont turn engine on itself), press ||| defroster button (AUTO isnt pressed at all) and i get my air nice and quietly coming through. start the car, i get an almighty grinding and whining noise (its seems to increase with foot down)...whats going on? i read a few things on here about bearings and compressors....as usual i look in the engine and cannot see anything except pipes and metal lol u may have guessed im not a mechanic cheers, rob

wheres the 'pot' to top up this thingy then? i found brake fluid, ,coolant and windscr washer 'holes'...cant find the steering one? :) thanks rob

:confused: I have 93 300zx tt fairlady 2+2 IMPORT. The low beam light bulb fitted on my car has a blue bulb and two spade connecters but all the ones ive seen on the net are only single terminals or a wire. Has anyone seen or know off the bulbs i need??? Any help greatly appreciated. CHEERZZzzz :hurl:

hi, what exhaust would you recomend for a Z32 also is this a full system i.e turbo back? what sort of price would a system be? do all z32 have CATs? if not what age would/ wouldnt have one? Regards Nick

dont know if anyone has had this before but when I start my TT from cold in the mornings it starts quitely and smoothly but after its been running for 45 seconds it starts to make a funny noise intil its warmed up for a couple of minutes by which time its basically the most quietest engine ever heard its not tappets or sounds worry ing like bearings etc and Its not the power steering pump but it sounds like a power steering pump doing an impression of an alarm not very loud you know when you turn your steering wheel from side to side and side to side but it sounds more like the engines making the noise bit weird how the engine starts up fine for a minut…

Here's the thing, my 300 has been severely neglected for the last 18 months. It started when I fell out with the car for being a pain in the arse, this was as a result of juddering under power. I asked here for ideas but it seemed that everyone thought it was a PTU problem, I borrowed one from a forum member (need to give him it back actually, if this is yours I please give me a shout, lost yours and my lifes details after a hard drive crash :cry:). This newer PTU didnt resolve the problem. Now I have a rotting tailgate which needs replacing, the aircon is making a clacking like the motor isnt strong enough to move one of the flaps over (oo-err!), there's a relay clicking…

just had my wheels aligned and my camber is out taking off the edge off my tyres. there is no way of adjustment, an i dont know if it has been lowerd os the it's sagging :confused: any ideas???

how easy is it so replace the elec aerial on the z32 as mine got attacked by a car wash..oops!!!

anyone got any details of a thread or full details on removing the engine ?

Spotted a silver z about 3pm 29/12. Heading through vineyard in abingdon.

Removed and reinstalled my clocks today, no probs all day. went out later started car and both needles speedo and rev's went straight to max and have stayed there even after disconnecting the battery, any idea's. the car is a 1992 jap import manual with a speedo convertor.

is my typing as bad as i think??? But the real question is is the manual gearbox the same in the SWB as the 2+2, and are the japs the same as the uk. In short do they all fit and are the ratios the same??? many thanks Allan

According to my manual the turbo chargers are removable with the engine still in the car. is this possable????? As we in the UK all understand the unit has to come out! for TC removal.........Granted the manual is the LHD USA manual

That does carbon fibre parts to your own specs ? Im after 2 (one on each side) CF covers that go directly back from the fron left and right slam panel and go under the cowling (under front windscreen) To cover all the accessory stuff in the engine

My heater is blowing cold air regardless of what temp I set the controller at. Any ideas? Thankz Roy

As above, I'm totally stuck, I just cant seem to find the best way to release it. I've read through the service manual, and I don't wana remove the starter motor, I've got the print out of the 60K Service Schedual, and cant seem to work out how he says that you wrap one of the belts around the rear of the pulley, and onto the bracket of the alternator!? :confused: So if anyone knows of a better way, please let me know, otherwise this is a job stopper at the mo. Thanks in advance.

Hi all I'm wondering does anybody know what wires are needed to connect to an electric seat? I'm assuming that it's just power & earth but do not know the power rating or what size fuse would be needed.

I attempted to replace the centre bearing over Xmas.Trying to get the Z high enough off the floor was the first prob,its a very heavy car and very low.With 3 jacks and 2 axle stands I got about 18 inches clearance underneath,still very arkward to work under.I then soaked the exhaust bolts in WD40 and tried to remove the 6 bolts holding the pipes to the turbos but even with a 1/2 inch air impact driver only 1 stud came out.Rather than face the nightmare of the bolts snapping off I replaced the the 1 that came out and shelved the project.Has anyone else experienced these problems?

Any ideas what it might be??? Just had a 10 minute razz up with my sister in her scoob. After a few traffic light launches, my car just lost all of its go. It seems like its pulling away in second gear. Cant say if its in safty boost as my guage packed up just before christmas. This is my first problem in just over a year of ownership so i hope its nothing to serious. Any help would be great ( things i could check for myself) before i have to start laying down large pieces pf paper with 50 printed on them!!! :confused: :confused: :confused:

Picked up my car today after 4 days in a car park (where they'd driven it a short distance). It made a funny quiet singing noise all the way home which I traced to a fan in the plastic unit on the ceiling with the two map reading lights in. I blew out the dust and gave it a little squirt or silicone grease. Now it doesn't make the noise but I don't think the fan's turning either. Any ideas what happened, why and have I knackered the little fan. What's it there for? To keep the map lights cool? That'd seem crazy as it seemed to run constantly when the ignition was on and they're only little lights. Thanks in advance!

Anyone know of any company or person who can refill/recharge my aircon on my zed. I Live in hampshire so someone close would be good...Ive spoke to some companys round here any they just want to rip me off by saying my system needs a total r134a conversion and im looking at up to £300+. I know people on here have had there's done alot cheaper than that...so any help would be appreiciated.... Cheers
