remove n/s turbo!!!!!!! last year i decatted the car but whilst trying to undo the pre-cat, i snapped off one of the bolts :cry:..... i have to remove turbo now because it is blowing quite badly from the joint between the de-cat pipe and turbo. Have i really got to remove the engine or suspension for this job. many thanx Dave

Unplugged the yellow connector on the AAC today and restarted my car. My idle decided to shoot to around 1500. Am i right in assuming that this is the base idle now as the IAA is getting no commands from the ECU? why the feck would anyone set the idle to 1500 RPM? It's not that it would be hiding any problems as until recently the car has been idling perfectly yet slightly high at 950rpm, before cleaning out the TB's and idle valve in situ it was idling spot on at 750 It defiently looks like someone has had this plug off before, so I am assuming it's been adjusted before My TPS voltage is currently reading bang on 0.42 volts. And I have a steady idle of 950rpm …

Generally they all seemed ok anyway, but the ones in worst condition were the injector connectors, but I presume that would lead to under fuelling, not overfuelling. Hi there. Yes, I know it's an old, old alarm. But it just died on me and I had to pay some bloke a fairly large wedge of money to come and 'bypass' it (just a pair of wirecutters and about 15 minutes work finding the fuel and ignition cuts). Anyway, does anyone have an old controller box for a Cobra 6422 they want to sell? It was full closure, and I want to use the original window lifters etc. Don't fancy having to pay to have all the old wiring ripped out and starting again...

I still have a weird vibration on my car, even though I've changed the wheels and tyres. Is there anyone in the north west I could visit who knows anything about this sort of problem. I need to get it fixed asap. Symptoms = a road speed vibration that starts at 30mph, doesn't come from the wheels, seems to be just an overall 'buzz' that can rattle the windows. It is worse as you go faster but takes a slight rest at 70 mph. It is a fast buzz rather than a shake! I had the prop shaft centre bearing done a few months ago and it was fine after that. I think it was stillen making the kit, but I can't find the linmk on 300zxclub or on here, I believe that it changed the gearing in the 300zx Diff to an NA ratio without the hassle (and possible weaknesses) of a Diff transplant. Anyone have the link?

Right.... Ive bought an Fairlady 2+2 tt IMPORT on a K plate supposedly a 93 model. I have checked my VIN ######510970 using this link:- http://www.aus300zxclub.com/tech/year.htm and it tells me that its a 90 model. On my registration document is says... Date of first registration=01/06/03 (DECL/D MANUF 1993) I have front seatbelts mounted on the doors which "legend has it" were only fitted on pre92 models. So is it a 90 or a 93 model??? Im thinking a 90 model. Any Ideas please?

I have an JWT ECU chip some boost jets, and a manual boost controller but have not put them on my zed yet.. just need some help... If i put the ECU in my car and add the manual boost controller do I still need to put the boost jets in? Are manual boost controllers any good or should I just save up and get an electronic one....? I WILL BE VERY GRATEFUL FOR ANY HELP!!!!! BY THE WAY HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE

my indicators have just stopped working , both of em , they do work though when i press the hazard lights button in. checked fuses in egine bay and under drivers side and seem all ok. took the indicator unit off the column and the main beam work no pronbs but still no indicators. I changed the 2 main units either side of the sterring wheel ( heater control unit and fog light unit) yesterday as the casings has cracked , could this have anything to do with it at all?? help !!

Just(2days) fitted a DVD in the car ,pop a few fuses and run the battery flat (so what new?).But now my ignition lights do not work, but the the car is running the battery is just on.Check all the fuses twices both in the car and in the engine bay, all fine .Everything else is working fine :headvswal HELP :headvswal

:( The cat overheat light comes on intermitently when driving around. Sometimes it only comes on above 2000rpm....othertimes it just comes and goes. It does not always come on everytime i drive but is persistant enough to get me worried. It will come on even if you dont give it any stick and just cruise.
