HI, i have a set of split rim bbs alloy wheels on my zx and looking to get them refurbished anyone know a good place to take them,also what sort of cost.

I was in the blue SWB going down Southgate and flashed you. No time to stop as I was running late to get to work.

GTR34 tubs are they T25 or T28 ? any ideas gents

I have read many posts in advanced tuning about spending several £K on internal engine mods.... :dance: If only I had the money :( But the engine is coming out for Tub replacment and I'm interested in a list in order of priority/cost of things to replace. My current plan goes like this Tub's....Ouch ! PCV's.....got O2 sensors....got fix me dead knock sensor.... hoping just a dead loom Remove AGR.... yet to learn Remove AIV.... yet to learn The list could be endless but with budjet in mind what else is a good idea. I'm thinking about heat tape wrapping the exhuast manafold... A. I'm sure it makes stuff all difference ? B. d…

Hi! I am trying to trace a dodgy idle, and having started to do the throttle bodies, which were so clean it looked like they'd been done yesterday, I started on cleaning all the connectors. Then I stopped for fear of them falling appart in my hands! So I am going to get new harneses from Courtesy for the ignition coils and the injectors. :dance: Do they both need splicing in? Or just the ignition coil harness? Is it a nightmare job to splice them in? :( Cheers

Just changed my spark plugs on the 90zx (jap import) and on the left handside engine bank all three were fouled up with oil. However with the engine running there is no blue smoke coming from the respective exhaust!, Is it gonna be expensive?

Poly ones, delrin ones or Ally subframe replacement bushings?? :slap: Want to replace these over the next few weeks and not sure which to go for, anyone recommend which is best and where to get a set from..... ;) cheers Jon.

Finally got the gauges working that were fitted in my car when i bought it :dance: The guages are reading WATER TEMP 150-160 F OIL TEMP 190 F OIL PRESSURE 2000revs=50psi 4000revs=85-90psi and on cold start with new oil and filter 100plus psi My question being , does this sound about right , cars a jap tt with about 75000 miles I had a look in the search bit but most temps are quoted in celcius :slap: cheers Allan

This thread should really be titled "wish I'd gone to Outlander first" :( Short story: - Jap spec 1990 imported 5 years ago. Car Audio bod swopped out the existing head unit for my Sony head unit and CD changer - also the front speakers for my JBLs. All worked fine. In the intervening years, changed rear speakers to Kenwood and added Pioneer active sub. All fine - all speakers worked no worries. - old Sony went ...... bought new Sony. Installer installed - said it was just a plug-out / plug-in job. Front speakers OK, sub OK, 10 mins down the road, rear speakers go buzzzzzzzzzz (music still playing). Head unit error "FAILURE" on screen - RTFM says due to power …

Hi Guys. I picked up my Zed this morning (Jap TT).. I'm still a bit new to it all, lots of previous experience with other performance cars all manuals. So could someone give me a quick rundown on what all the gizmos do on my gearbox. 1) Overdrive 2) TA Switch - Hold, Power and in between. I've got a vague idea what everything does, but you are the experts, so I'll let you go into detail to put my mind at ease. Also - What's the most economical setting for pottering around? Anyone ever had an aftermarket one apart?? Are they simple barrel balves, or do they have sprung ball valves or similar for pressure regulation??? The reason I ask is, I can get hold of a range of hydraulic valves but need to know how complex the ones in Demon Tweeks etc are!! Rich

Just got my first Z last week n one of the dipped headlights is barely aglow while the other side is fine. Don't know if it is a common fault or some wonabe auto electrician has been hard at work with his not so magic wand. Any ideas? :confused:

i started my zed today after its been standing a while it started first time (amazing) but after it warmed up it ran rough and there was a slight knocking noise from the left hand side of the engine would this just be a misfire???with throttle opened the noise goes and it revs freely

.....once every two engine revs (ie about 8 times per second @ 1000 rpm). Only under part throttle, it goes when I lift off. It is drowned out by ambient noise in anything over 2nd gear and over 2K in 1st. Otherwise it is noticable. As it is approx once every 2 revs is it an injector or something to do with a coil pack or plug? I haven't tried anything to solve it yet, haven't changed plugs etc as I thought you lot might be able to point me in the right direction before I started (what a lazy barsteward!). Apart from the noise the car is OK in terms of engine performance. Any ideas gents?

I'm looking to upgrade my brakes which are currently the standard set on my car. I have 18" wheels fitted & so have plenty of room for upgrades. Someone suggested to me that I could use the brakes used on the Skyline but am unsure as to where to start. So any advice would be greatly appreciated.
