The lights work but all the other wires have been ripped out when someone tried to disconnect the the cruise control. I want to try and get the dimmer switch etc working, so if anone has a camera and 5 minutes that it would really handy. Help i'm confused. I was doing an oil a filter on my car yesterday, and i checked the gearbox oil level, and to my horror that i was hardly any oil on the dipstick never mind in the box. :( What oil do you use and how do you top this up, do you need to drain the old first etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi, I think my heater matrix has gone. Condensation on the windows, damp foot well etc. Does anybody now of a specialist in the Surrey area that can replace this? Nissan have quoted £900 and I know Jeff at the Zed World charges £437 but unfortunately I can not get up to Tamworth in the near future. I have heard in the past that there is some specialist in Oxted in Kent.

First of all my bonnet sticks up on one side (passenger side) No signs of crash damage or anything like that. How can I sort it so it sits flush with the wing  Next. When I park on my drive I have noticed that when dipped headlights are on the driver side reflects white off the wall and the passenger side reflects a more yellowish colour. I recently changed the bulbs to Halfords +30 percent. The old ones were both different bulbs. Any ideas

Went to see a black auto in New Malden yesterday, but ended up walking away as some of it just didn't ring true with me. Bodywork was very good considering it's a 1990, but it had a chunk out of the leather seat and a rip in the cover over the boot. Also had an oil leak which the guy said was fixed but there was fresh oil there so didn't quite believe it. The fan and alternator were just coated in oil. It had done 68k, but I have suspicions it might have been clokced as it appears to have only done 18k in the last 5 years. Mi biggest concern was the V5 wasn't in the guys name and hadn't even been signed to the new owner by the previous keeper, that coupled with the V…

Having paid quite a lot of money to a local mechanic for head gaskets and turbos replacement work, who normally does a good job ( on the mundane stuff anyway ) I noticed a lack of ummph when on boost. When I looked under the bonnet I found that there were two connectors left undone - I think they are AIV solenoid valve and EGR control solenoid valve but I dont know which is which! I also found that the air pipe from the EGR valve was not connected at the plenum and that there are two electrical connectors not connected to anything lying just above the EGR valve!!! I confronted the garage owner who apologised and said that the he had fired the guy that had put my engine ba…

I flashed my headlights at someone in a supermarket car park yesterday. As I did so, my speedo swept right up to 180, then back to the true reading (of not much). Is it trying to tell me something or should I just ignore it? Cheers!

Hey Guys, Was wondering if this is right. On normal beam the outside bulbs are on, then when i put it on full beam the outside lights go out and the inside ones go on. My thinking that when the full beam is on all 4 lights should be on, am i right or being stupid? Cheers Paul

I bought a set of NISMO bushes for the top links from the guys in St Helens, to fix a clonk in the front suspension. The set up instructions are mostly in Japanese, and its is not clear what goes where. There are two types of bush provided, one with a longer steel collar than the other. Does anybody know which one goes where? My UK manual says the link bushes cannot be changed. Is this true? Advice appreciated. Thanks Dave

I have two Engines sat in bits at the mo, one is from my manual uk tt and the other from an auto import tt! The bores are worn on the auto block and will need reboring, but my uk block the bores are fine what I want to do is rebuild the auto car with my uk block and get the import block rebored for my uk car saving two rebores due to me wanting forged pistons in the uk car  hope this makes sence Is there any differences in the blocks, im sure I heard that the auto's power was reduced over the manual engine also what size are the standard pistons in the block Thanks ;)

How much do you think I could sell me Zed for? It's a J spec TT auto, K reg. It was imported in 1999 and has full service history since then. It's done 62,000 miles. It was completely standard until it had an oil leak and lost it's oil, doing damage to the crankshaft. Hence it was rebuilt only 3000 miles ago. The rebuild was done by a Jap performance specialist in Kingston, S & M motors which included: New oil pump, new water pump, new piston rings, all gaskets replaced, new fuel lines, new crankshaft and bearings and anything else that was worth doing while the engine was out. I also got brand new Garratt T25 hybrids with 360 degree bearings fitted (fr…
