Hi all I've just fitted the HID conversion from Outlander (Excellent piece of kit) to my UK car. This of course has the "dim dip" where headlights come on very dim when sidelights are on with the engine running. As the HID kit requires full power to run, when the sidelights only are switched on they flicker like a flourescent light when the starter has blown!! Of course I need to disable the dim-dip thingy so how do I do it? Is there a relay I can simply remove?? Cheers people Richard :cool:

can anyone tell me what the hell is happening to my zed.i had new tyres fitted 4wks ago and the fronts are already illegal?the wear is pretty even but i have noticed the front end feels very loose and if i turn it full lock at walking speed the wheels feel like they're falling off? my only guess is the tension rod bushes!cheers.

hi people---after changing sides on my front tires (even the wear out) ive just noticed my front are a 45 section and the rear are a 40 section,being--rear 255-40-17 front 235-45-17,is this right or what???? ps--the make of tire is matching set brian 93tt

My drivers belt, has decided today, that it no longers wants to reel back inside the door, but is quite happy to flop around like a limp thing... Is this a comman fault, i'm guessing i'll need a new seat belt unit, is it easy to fit ? and does anyone have one they would like to sell ? cheers guys

I have a 1994 N/A Auto 55,000miles. In this cold weather she will start first time but then if a little throttle is not applied the engin just dies and seems to flood, as the only way to restart is foot flat on the floor and keep on winding. also there is no power to pull away until the engin is warm (when the temp guage comes up) again the engin will just die :headvswal service 3K ago new plugs etc and whilst I was at Billing had the Dutch boys put their tester on, every thing fine exept for occasional miss fire on one cylinder. Help please :bow: Steve

Only started happening yesterday, creaks when it gets to 90 degrees left or right, sounds like a floorboard creaking... It's quite loud :( Anyone had this before, any ideas?

Ok, as some of you know I'm rebuilding my engine again with new injectors, turbos etc. Right question 1. i'm going to be removeing the ERG etc, whats the best way to block off the vac hoses? 2. I'm going to replace all the vac hoses with silicone. how much will i need and what sizes? 3. and last but not least, what can i do to improve the air flow through the intercoolers? I see that the screen wash and rad water tanks block the back of them, would removeing them and changeing them for smaller ones have much effect? also if so what can i use to replace them with? my car has started to rev at 1.5-2k after being warmed up, then if i turn off the car and back on it seems to run back at 700-1k revs !!. Spoke to a few people and its suggested that the throttle bodies need cleaning again ( only did about 4 weeks ago !!) or the pcv's need replacing. Anyone else had a similar problem like this at all??

Hi guys, got a slight leak from top of rad right by the hoses went to top up and found a brown sludgy mess in the filler hole. also went to top up expansion tank and got wet feet the pipe goes nowhere it stops just before the hole in the side of the engine bay???? could someone give us a clue on jap spec rads (autos)will i need to get the auto cooler conversion done if not already done cheers guys bubbles

After doing a 400 mile drive the last 20 miles the zed began to misfire. so when got home i found out that cylinder 5 plug electrode had melted a bit and stopping it from sparking, :shock: I have now put a new plug in and it runs very smooth with no puffs of blue smoke. or any signs of major bore damage I am currently running with 13psi of boost and the boost contoller set to cut off at 1 bar. i have stock injs and turbs but have a mines ecu Does anyone know what would have caused this. :confused: Cheers Eddie

please can someone tell me what psi a standard turbo on a 1993 model should be able to go too?? i have done the exhaust, chip and filter and am about to do the intercoolers, boost controller, and injectors but still want to know what i can then push the standard turbo's too before i need to buy the new ones. i know i need to replace them soon but thought id run them till they die then replace. thanks in advance for any help

Happy Christmas all.. Anyway, when I start my 90 zx tt up, the boost needle sits on the 1st thick line(2nd line altogether) on the boost gauge. (Jap gauge, -7, a thin line, a thick line, 0, a thick line, a thin line, to +7). Is this right. When warmed up it sits slightly closer to the -7. Do I have a problem? Is it a sign of impending turbo doom? Thanks, Kersh.

Hi All, Merry Christmas, my son had his T3 turbo rebuilt last week by Turbo Deveopments in London. Fully rebuilt, balanced etc, painted and new nuts and bolts etc 175.00 plus VAT. Cant find the nmber at the mo but if anyone needs it ask, its on my phone and my phone is hiding. he will also convert a T25 to T28 spec, and almost anything else judging from speaking to him. A good friend has used him for 15 years with no probs.

i doubt im the only one here but anyone got any tips removing sticky adhesive patches of the dash [no rude comments please :rolleyes: ] was going to try warm water and a scourer but woried it might make it worse any help would be appreciated :) greg

Well I've had my Zed all of a week, first time I get to put my foot down properly, and I manage to bounce off the limiter in 2nd!! Not good I know.. 1st and 2nd are fine, but it just won't shift from 2nd to 3rd. It's been suggested that there might be a problem with my TPS, but I'd be suprised if it's that when it's changing from 1st to 2nd just fine. But hey.. what would I know? I've only been a Zed owner a week! Is there anything I can try guys? HELP!!

Right iv'e had a boost controller fitted and it should be hitting 13psi with the current settings but i'm only boosting too 8 somthing why is this. Oh and i'm trying to sort out some Quafe 6 speed gear kits anyone interested please read my post in the advanced tunning section.

I think this could be an offset problem as the car was absolutely fine before I fitted some Mania Vortex 18" alloys (235 front, 265 rear). The odd thing is that the alloys came off a zed :confused: I can only think that whoever bought the wheels in the first place obviously didn't check the offsets! Does anyone know what the offset is for the Kosei Mania Vortex alloys? I've tried searching the web for this info but couldn't find it anywhere. Also, where could I purchase spacers from? Any help would be much appreciated as the car isn't much fun to drive as it is :( PS. If the LHS wheel goes down a rut in the road, the steering wheel pulls quite aggressivel…
