Hi there. Seen a lot of postings on here regarding this, but when hot the idle hunts between 500-900rpm, and occassionally stalls when you lift off. Standard ecu, passes diagnostic. It's running 12-13psi. I'm going to clean the throttle body this weekend when I do the suspension and brakes (busy weekend!), but should I also do the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter as a matter of course? Can't find out when it was last done before I bought the car, and I have only covered 2500 miles in it. Cheers, thanks for all the continuing good advice! Im with Liverpool Victoria at moment for my zed. Thinking of getting a Hilux Surf as a winter car. However LV will not insure 2 cars under one policy - I would have to insure the SURF with no "No claims bonus" as this is used on my zed. They want another £650 for the surf!!! Im sure someone on here must have 2 cars and possibly have put the zed on a classic policy. I owuld like to be able to drive the zed when the sun shines, and the SURF when weathers crappy. Who do you use? I was gonna try Firebond but when I last spoke to them they said the ZED is NOT a classic!.

Does anybody know the quickest way to remove and replace the steering knuckle ??? :( Do you have to remove any other parts as I have undone and removed the two bolts but can't seem to move it up or down (please dont tell me I have to remove the rack !!!) ? Ok seen a few posts on this but thought id ask as it wasnt conclusive: Want to get my motor so the water runs off a bit more..i buff it sooo well with that colour magic, but is there anything that when it rains the water runs off the body, a bit like the stuff u can buy for windows? my car ALWAYS seems to keep the water drops on it even when everyone else in the street is dry its not fair! 1. What is good for the paintwork? (Wash and/or polish combos) 2. What is good stuff for the windows like this? (Rainex is it?) I currently use turtle wax wash, then color magic black (the car is black :) )

Well after a full day removing the front end of the car I finaly got my new heater matrix in! :hyper: And putting all the stuff I took off back into the car only took 5 min!! :eek: Made a nice job of it too! Although might have got one or two things in the wrong place?

anyone know where I can get a triple a-pillar pod for a SWB? The old one off a 2+2 doesn't fit. It's a also a slicktop..... Cheers

i am trying to replace my heater matrix i have taken all the dash board out and have removed the three nuts holding it in place ie top one and the one on each side,,but i still cant seem to get the thing to budge, are there any hidden screws or is it just need brute force to get it out ,and what is the bset way to come out with it somebody must be able to help me out please ive been at it for 3 weeks now

Hi. I have had my zed for 8 months now and I have had to change the passenger side head light bulb 3 times. I don’t think I should be changing them as often as this. I have done the normal things like checked the earth, fuses and relays and tried different makes of bulbs... still no joy. My birds dad works for Mitsubishi I took the car to him this morning he had a quick look at it but he just looked at the same things as I did. He asked me if I have a wiring diagram so he can look more in depth I have not got one I was hoping one of you guys might be able to help me out with a diagram. cheers lee uk300zxtt@msn.com

Hello all, I have just cleaned the throttle bodies :hyper: bloody dirty they were I have had the car a year and this is the first time i've done it :o and once finished the car didnt chuck out any black smoke like the guide says is this normal?? I took it for a drive to test all was ok and the car seems alot quicker and the pick up better, is this correct or is it all my head. Thanks all. Ant :D

I have a fuel pressure gauge i want to pumb in, If i was to T off just after the filter will this display the same pressure as at the injectors. if not where do i need to connect it? Cheers Eddie

Just wanna check over the SWB and make sure she's OK, i know its running slightly rich and the tickover is particually high at about 1400rpm. So if anyone fancies a look for me, tea, coffee, beer, missus will be at your disposal! :D:D Cheers all :dance:

Got home tonight, after a short drive just to run the engine for a bit (first time I've drove her this week!) and noticed when I got home that the spoiler is lifting/peeling just above the lights - it looks like someone has tried to rip it off!! Is this a 'natural' occurrence due to the cold weather (we had it all last night - snow, ice, minus temps) - or should I be worried that someone really is trying to nick it!!! Either way, it looks like I might be getting my new spoiler sooner than planned - so it's not all bad ;).

Spotted a grey z on the a34 Nr oxford this morning, think the plate was g*** ejh? had a fog light bolted to the rear bumper, and an aftermarket front end.

hi guys, First I came accross a guy on 300zx.com forum who says this site is under contruction. I think this is becausse he does not see any discussion going on here. Anyway to get thing moving, I have a little problem you guy can help me with. I noticed recently that my car dont startup as used to. I know it's not spark plugs or injectors. I'm yet to rule out PTU and timing or MAF. All the same I want some input on this. Many thanks

i have fitted 2 aftermarket gauges and they have been working fine up until yesterday! boost gauge has no iluminated display as the gauge is black? could a bulb be blown not sure how to get at it,and where would i get one :( it was working intermitadly would work sometimes.Then no display all together checked wireing and all is fine. any ideas :bow:
