Hi i have 93t/t manual and when u get to the biting point on the clutch shaply , then i can feel the gearstick jerk a bit , also happens when you tap the accelarator and let it go suddenly but this is only happening when moving. Any ideas? Could it be a gearbox mount loose or worn ?? :hyper: :rofl: :bow: :duffer:

Hi, Black ZX, reg: H***N?R, dump valves, loud exhaust. Seen you from my livingroom window (corner of Allendale Avenue/Tom Towns Lane) turning left onto Tom Towns Lane at around 1.30pm yesterday. Odd one this morning, started up the car and the power steering was really heavy, it was definitly working but not very well. When I stopped and started the car again it was working fine! oil level is fine wasnt sure what else to check, its the second time this has happened. is something about to break? its a 90 auto if that makes and difference. Hi All i have a clifford 500 cat1 alarm which was already fitted to my zed and i need to remove due to some problems with it but i have been stripping down my zed all day and i cant find it.I found the siren and microwave sensor but the wires disappear into the main loom and i cant trace where they go......I need to know any common places they would be installed on a zed as they are quite hard to fit anyway due to not having much room in a zed.....I want to replace it with a toad ai606 that ive already purchased.... Any help please!!! :cry:

i've had abit of an oil leak for ages, just 1 or 2 spots on the garage floor every so often. but this has got wrose. so the other day when i fit my new zorst i had a good look under there. the oil is down the right side of the car underneth and goes up towards alternator etc. there is a bolt that has been sherred off right on the front conner of the sump so i guess this is my leak. question is how do i get the old bit of bolt out to mend what i hope is the leak. thanks to all that can help graeme

Hello everyone, im new here, have been lurking around for a few weeks trying to learn about 300zxs Im looking to upgrade from my golf VR6 to something japanese and boooosted and have been looking into most jap cars within my price range: imprezas, skylines and have stumbled across the lesser known Zed! I have been completely unable to get any sort of reasonable insurance on scoobys or skylines, (24 yrs, 4 yr ncd) but have just got a quote of £650 on a uk Zed from elephant. Ive also noticed you seem to get much more for your money in the first place, an equivalent 300zx goes for less than other makes. So my question is..... WHY? :confused: :confused: …

Guys, I need to get into my Zed but someone, AHEMNIGELAHEM :D, took my battery terminal off (As your looking from the front off the car its the right hand side terminal which I believe is the negative) and shut the bonnett meaning I cant get in as I have no door/boot keys!! :slap: So the remote fob wont activate?! Is there a secret way of getting into my car without smahing the drivers window? I can jack the car up but can I reach the catch if I stretch? I could on my old escort! :D HELP!

Is it ever worth re-locating the det sensor or should it be replaced in exactly the same place where Nissan intended?

well...my first post over here :) i'm fitting a EBC...i would like to put new hoses direct to the wastegate actuator...the left side was easy, but i can't find a way to reach the other wastegate...is this possible without removing the turbo? any input would be apreciated.

Right I have a dilemma that I need good technical modding advice with...which mod would you say is the best? As you can see this is one I might consider but not sure the scooter will increase BHP that much or enhance the handling characteristics of the Z in a suitable fashion! Also this mod looks like it has an attitude problem so could end up making my car a bit lary! Bit...on the edge. :D …

I've found a Z to look at locally, chap tells me it's an import, 90' H TT with half/half leather. No mods etc. He gave me the reg to do a few checks on and the very first one came up with this Vehicle details Manufacturer Mitsubishi Model Body type coupe Colour Silver Fuel type Petrol Date manufactured 31 December 1991 Number of previous owners 1 Last owner change 31 October 2002 Now the colour is the only thing right! Is this because the reg has been re-assigned to this import and I should not worry about it or should I run like fook away from this?

I've got the Z back from the garage and they have done all the work also fitted the boost controller but they didn't set it up. I started reading the manual yesterday and Damn that sounds complicated and sounds as if it could take a while to set up. I want to set the Hi to 13psi and the lo to what ever you recommend so could somone please post what they have set each mode to so i can copy their set up. Set Boost Gain Start Boost Warning Limiter for both hi and lo. I seem to be suffering a mis-fire near the spark plug by the battery (jap Version) it only appears to be this one, have had a compression test done on this and its fine, from looking at past forum threads it may be the connectors need cleaning and possibly need to replace the ptu. Although it has only recently started to happen, would an ECU test be of any use?? or as anyone else got any other ideas. Thanks Matt
