Hi guys, can you tell me whats the difference between a HID set costing £20 and one costing £80, and no prizes for anyone saying £60. Would, for instance, the expensive one have a brighter output for a set of 6000 bulbs? Rich

Hi does anyone know how to set these up? Manual online is very brief. Got the boost working fine. It's the oil pressure I can't seem to get going properly. I've recently had my oil pump changed and by doing so it has sorted the annoying whinning sound and fixed the random tapet noises. I have disconnected the Oem sender and fitted the aftermarket one and wired it up correctly to the control box. But my readings are erratic. From cold the cars oil pressure starts about 2-3 as it warms the creeps up to bout 4 then once at Normal operation temperature the pressure rises above 5 and 6 when driven and drops when idle And sometimes drops to zero. Then while dr…

You can see from the first two pictures where I was waiting in the central reservation crossing point to turn into work and the cycle lane markings on the road Well I had to wait there for stationary traffic. When the traffic started moving a car held back to let me out I started across the road and didn't see anything moving at about 5 - 10 mph and then BANG. A bloody motorbike using the cycle lane doing abouy 25 mph that did this My Insurance first of all said 50/50 but when I proved he was in a cycle lane they said it'll be a no blame because the motor cyclist wouldn't have been visible when I started and he shouldn't have bee…

Basically have got 10" wheels going to be fitted and currently on 265 all round but are pretty much on the legal limit, so wondering from people experience whether these cars handle better with a square or staggered setup? More concerned about grip and handling than looks (but wide tyre look cool as anyway :) )

....oh dear!! eBay link I've seen some awful fitting retrims in my time, but this is shocking! The upper bolsters are sooo baggy and the seams don't even look as if they line up with the edge of the foam underneath!! :2guns: :hurl:

I'm debating on fitting recirc valves back on to the zed (still unsure) where I currently have Apexi twin chamber BOV's. What I'm wondering is whether I should just be a straight forward swap or if there's a possibility of stuff missing?

Can't decide which way to go on this one, I like the gtz lip a lot, but also like some of the other front bumpers, but I do only like good fitting parts so that narrows the choice on aftermarket bumpers.

Clearing out the lockup today I came across this part : Now I know this plate is from the gearbox but my question is whats it for and if its missed when putting the box back in what effects will it have. Seems when my gearbox was refitted this was left out and I only found it in a box of spares today.

I have 87.5 mm wiseco pistons I just wànt to double check my calculations for ring gap Wiseco spec for street moderate turbo/nitrous is as follows Top ring calc 0.005 2nd ring calc 0.0055 Now take bore size x ring calc For top ring bore is 87.5/25.4 to give fig in inches So 3.44488x 0.005= 0.0172" 2nd ring 3.44488x0.0055=0.0189" So top ring end gap 0.017 2nd ring gap 0.019 Does that seem right? Checked the top ring with out any filing and it's 0.009" so I have to file 8 thou off to get 0.017"

When people have completely removed the Hicas rack from the back end, what do they do with the power steering lines that used to attach to it...? Plug the ends? Remove the lines from the car completely...? Any thoughts, please?

Hi .. installed a 3 pod pillar trim this afternoon with water temp (not yet connected) boost and oil pressure. Both of these are connected but I am not sure if they are working as they should be . Can't seem to find a detailed manual online for the Blitz dc2 gauges . Oil pressure goes up when reved or driven . Also there is a red led light on ? Boost gauge only goes up when I put my foot down and no red light until it gets about half way up gauge. Obviously I have installed the oil sender and connected the boost tubing to the correct place. Does anyone know how to set these up? Or are they ok as they are? Thanks in advance.

well had a lovely email from Jimmer the red beasty is now at powerzed its having a new gearbox fitted, some niggly oil leaks fettled and a bad misfire diagnosed turns out the misfire was a fouled plug on cylinder number 1 and she is now running shweeeet !! but ive opted to be better safe than sorry and Jim is fitting a new engine wiring loom , the oil leaks were on the steering resevoir connection and one on the oil cooler, the replacement manual gearbox i bought from Mark is fitted with a spacer from Z1 to shim out the starter motor, just the boost issue to look at wont hold boost past 1.1 bar and the rev meter reading 2000rpm at tickover. while its th…

My zeds power steering has been quite heavy the last week. Fluid is ok and tyres are inflated correctly. I don't think I have a Speedo convertor on mine so don't think it's that. Any other suggestions ?

Can someone confirm whether the stock European spec oil cooler hose has a restrictor inside it? The Japan and USDM smaller return hose (directly off the cooler) has a restrictor in the hose. I have a used european hose and it doesn't appear to have the restrictor in it but seeing I bought it used I have no clue who may have altered it, if it is supposed to have it. Thank you.
