Hi all, So I'm having works done to the car and while it's been at the garage I've been thinking about changing the colour. I'm pretty set on going Grey but I can't decide on what grey? So far I've been tore between: Mercedes SLR Lamborghini Mustang Eleanor Grey I'm finding myself liking colours because of the car but it's the colour I'm after. What do you guys think would suit the zed?

Done these for another member and very nice they are too, the 99 carmad insert does lend itself very well to the fitting of an inconspicuous ring light. It's just a shame the crisp sharpness of the individual led's doesn't come across so well on a video, ok close up but a more distance shot the light just merges as one but i can assure you these look great from every angle. First part of the video is with everything off and i'm showing really how the stock look is pretty much maintained if not improved with the halo ring. Then i light it up and the final part is with the dipped HID light powered up and this is 6000K and 55w. Usual work as been carried out a…

Hi ... I have after market gauges (temperature) and was wondering if it is possible to use one of the sensors on the front coolant pipe? Obviously this will render my stock temp gauge not working. Which one do I use? If this is ok to do. Coolant or water temp? I would have to block off the hole with a bolt of some kind. Or would it be advisable to leave them in situ and buy a new sensor for my after market alloy adapter which goes in between the left hand rubber rad pipe.

I asked the question a while back on who would be interested in attending this. There was quite a few interested so since the date has been announced iv sent away for a registration pack to get a club stand. I will post more info on it in the Scottish meets section when I get it. My plenum is off at the moment and seems a shame to put it back without doing anything with it. I don't want the hassle of maintaining a polished one so was thinking either get mine powder coated of do it myself with VHT. Has anyone else done this without any problems? Thanks

what's the general consensus for outdoor use? Car doesn't fit in the garage, and I'd like to protect the paintwork as much as possible after bodymech are done with it. 1) Get a decent outdoor cover? 2) Forget the cover, but keep it well waxed 3) an other?

OK guys, I've been away for some time now (although always lurking in the background), but at last I am back :) Some of you may know the last time I was on here, I was planning a full restoration of my j-spec lwb auto TT. Well due to a practically non-existent budget and busy lifestyle its took me all year to finish building a 26'x12' shed, solely for the Z. Started the car yesterday evening for the first time since November 2013!! Would you believe she started on the first turn of the key (after circulating oil and building pressure), although with a hunting idle and burst brake line somewhere. As said this is a full restoration, including, Major bodywork reno…

Now, I realise that some parts suppliers/breakers may not be intimately familiar with the car's they strip... but I still find myself hard pressed to see how anyone could imagine that this is how something left the factory: Steering wheel!! I mean, c'mon......

Hi .. car has been running fine apart from steering gone slightly heavy. Problem I have is yesterday all I done was put back the rear view mirror and started the car and the battery light was on dim. Car had a new alternator about 6 months ago and its showing 14 on multimeter. Pulled some codes and it came up with 34 det / knock sensor circuit . Pullled up to a friends turned the car off and the car wouldnt start just turned over . Checked the fuse box under the bonnet and made sure all relays were in firmly went back to the car And it started?? Now I'm getting code 21 which is ignition signal circuit??? Battery light is still dim while driving about. Do…

Went and had a look at a 300zx today and had a good nose underneath, looked pretty rusty and I am sure the chassis looked twisted...anyway, just so I know what to expect when I look under these cars in terms of typically what rust I might expect to see, where, etc anyone got a few photos of their cars underneath? Set me a precedent for what I should be looking for. Ta very muchly in advance :w00t:

Have been looking at various options on monitoring what's happening with the Zeds power plant and how to best protect it from any potential problems. Has anyone used these gauges from AEM? Not only can they monitor more than one item at a time, ie can have boost and AFR on 1 gauge, as well as log 3hours of data, but they can and this is the bit that caught my eye The gauge includes a low side output for triggering a failsafe strategy in the event AFR falls outside of the operating window (example strategies below), and an RPM input to log RPM for tuning purposes. Decent explanation of how/what they do Seems like reading this it would be relative simple t…

Hello again people, been a while. Finally starting the ball rolling to get her done... Does anyone know of where and cheapest to get a full, and I mean full poly bush kit for the entire car? NA rear end so including the rear track arms. I've search a lot, and emailed, but can't seem to find an actual complete front to back kit. I'm refurbishing both subframes whilst spaying the engine bay/shell. Cheers, Tudor.
