Does anyone know what size the outlets are on the HKS style FMIC are? I know the godspeed ones are 2.5"

What grade oil are people using in there zeds, it was changed in December looks clean but I don't know what grade was used so might change it gents. Cheers

Took a vid of the engine which you may be able to hear the noise which could be a bearing or something or do these engines suffer from dry tapets? cars not done many miles in the last year and I haven't had time to drive it any where. not one for taking vids on phones or I pads as makes it sound worse lol. http://vid280.photobucket.com/albums/kk200/m_reed2008/IMG_1956_zpsb4epiytz.mp4 hope it works.

Noticed a few things on my zed tonight. First. Fuel pump is really loud does quieten down over time this common? Oil garage works then stops I think this is common? And temp gauge is half way up within 8 mins but been told this probs normal so not a a problem. One other thing is, sounds like a dry bearing when engine is running but not sure which is there a common on that drys up? Like to get it sorted. Car as only done around 200mile in the last year so I have been told so that won't help, I have not had chance to put any miles on it yet due to work. But do love it already lol Cheers mark

Hi All I was just wandering if anybody knows anything about my car or if anybody has owned it before as the engine is sweet, i just want to know what upgrades it has, i know its been chipped and a few bits done but i want to know a bit more detail so i know what i can do in the future or if anybody will be able to do a detailed look and let me know. My car is smelling of fuel so i have changed all the fuel lines as they looked a bit crappy (as you do), but the only one i havent done is the little, partially hidden, awkward ne between the fuel rails at the front. has anyone got a nice guide or advice on how to do this without pulling the plenum off otherwise its going to turn into an awkward job i think. Just to say that i picked up my gsp 600 turbos yesterday and was most suprised of what i found in the box .bearing in mind there ment to be chinese rubbish. i found a peace if paper from turbo technics in nottingham. Showing them there indervidual balancing and vibration test..So am am i to asume that these were made over there.then shiped to england to be tested and balanced.then shipped again to the retailer.whitch in my case will be amazon in america .before being shiped backed to me. .

Right. I have now got a pair or 3"dps and 3" testpipes.now need to mate up the two 3"testpipes to a single 3" exit.is this jobie a fabrication part.or by any chance that somone somwere sells such a peace.see pic. .

Right I'm thinking of putting my fog light where one of my reverse lights currently sits my question is how do I wore up a fish fog light and switch and what are the legal things wi regards to this? I have recently purchased a led fog light bulb and was planning fitting that.

Does anyone have any experience of mobile axle stands like the ones cj autos sell? My garage is too narrow to get the wheels off in it. I've now got all the bits to do my rear suspension overhaul including removing subframe. My plan was to back the car out of the garage, jack it up, put it on axle stands, do some work, but when it's time to put back in the garage jack it up and put the rear end on the mobile stands and then push car back into the garage. Once back inside I'd put it back on normal axle stands. Repeat procedure for as many days as needed. Before I go buy one I'm wondering if anyone has good/bbad experience with them. http://www.cjaut…

Anybody know if a tt swb will just fit on to a lwb tt or is it that just the diff and hubs etc are useable?

I've got and intermittent issue with the blower which I'm not sure how to track down. Occasionally there will be manic clicking from a relay and the blower will cut in and out. If the aircon is on the aircon light will go on and off in time with the blower. Mines a series 4 with the manual controls and this can happen in all 4 fan speeds. When it does happen changing the blower to a different speed and then back usually clears it. Looking at previous threads and the FSM there are lots of possible culprits. Sometimes the clicking is behind the glovebox, sometimes on the drivers side and like I said its in all fan speeds. The relays behind the glove box look to be in …

Well it's been about 5 years ( that's so embarrassing) in the making but I finally drive my zed on the road today - all the more poignant as it's my birthday! It's mot tomorrow to see what officially needs doing, but it felt great to actually drive it finally! I know I have more work to do - leaky oil from head and a newly discovered lack of synchro on 3rd but still my Perm-a-grin has been reinstalled! M

It's been a busy weekend for me. I have finally pulled the engine and auto gearbox out of the z. Then I have cleaned up the manual box to go in. Replaced some of the bearings. And painted it all up. Here are some pics to show you what I have done.

Could anybody tell me if you can fit the engine and gearbox joined together. It doesn't look possible. But would save the struggle with the two top bell housing bolts.

Is there anywhere in the UK to buy silicone intercooler couplers from for SMICs? Or is my only option the US...?

Hows it going all. Been meaning to come on here but just haven't gotten the chance until now! I've been back for a week now and and I'll be gone by next week. Before I left I had dropped my zx for a few jobs which included a new engine harness, oil leak, irregular idle, clutch booster, heater matrix, replaced plenum, braided fuel lines, tune up and a fair few other bits and bobs including completed deletes. I picked her up last week from Lee (thanks bud) and she's running hellova lot better!! A lot more solid knowing that everything is how it should be!! Hi guys, really could do with some guidance on an issue I have at the moment. Have been Googling it a lot but so far not able to come to a firm conclusion. CAR '91 Jap Import 2+2 300zx TT ISSUE Noise coming (I believe) from the rear of the car. Noise is consistent with road speed, not engine speed. Starts around 20mph and gets louder with speed. Throttle and braking does not seem to affect the noise. Turning left makes the noise disappear instantly, it returns when you straighten up.
