    Hi I am new to the 300 zx , ive got a tt automatic one with a switch under the steering column saying auto sith like a shocker pic on it and ↑↓ on it ,what dose this do?

    This might be something for phutumusch..... I've been looking through various Nissan and Infiniti interiors. This was actually prompted my a friend of mine in Los Angeles. I came across the e/w switches from the P11 Primera which are identical. (See both photos.) I don't know what the situation is with the wiring, but I am sure they can be modified to fit physically and electronically. I believe these are already pre-illuminated too. The bases would need to be split, hopefully that split chassis would mount up beneath a stock Z32 finishers. Z32-Zone do an adaptor harness, but not entirely sure whether some loom from a Primera can be spliced into the existing har…

    I've wired my fog switch to rear outer reverse light & put a red bulb in it! Thing is I don't think it would pass an MOT? It looks so Amber ! It is a 12v 21w red bulb. Do not want to put the square rear fog on the back.

    Following on from a recent new member's post looking for a car etc, I thought I'd just have a gander at the market. I do every so often, just to see what's about. Ebay always has some, but thought I'd check out Autotrader first as generally, it seems to be where serious sellers would go. Well, I wasn't expecting to see what I saw...or didn't see.     Wanting a new pair of bosch 02 sensors with the correct 1990 plug on the end for correct fitment. Has anyone had any luck finding the best place to sorce these.in the uk. Apparently the bosch ones are the way to go as i hurd in the past that even oem ones are a lottory and the bosch seem to be the way forward.

    Hi, iam just wondering what turbos would be need for 500bhp and will internals need uprating rods etc, I only ask as I have been told these engine are pretty good for bigger power in stock form. also is a front mount intercooler the way to go or bigger coolers? cheers mark?)

    Right.im getting the ashspec 2.5" inlet pipe kit that goes from the turbo on the intake side to the air filter.now this peace of kit cost $395 US. now i will be going to larger fmic and pipework but do not wish to spend onother nearly $700 us on pipe work .and also on pipe work that ill only half use.and goes aroind the houses. So my idea is to get the intake pipe kit as i said and only the first part of the intercooler pipework that comes from the turbo to the intercooler.this pipe is called the turbo discharge pipe.now, normally the pipe that comes from here is a two" pipe .that joins on more peaces of 2" pipe.now because im having my new tubs fitted soon.it will.be…

    Right then. I have a slight misfire that is worse sometimes than others... its Fine at higher rpm but only really at idle It's noticeable. Could this be a O2 sensor... checked the voltage and one is like .20 volts lower almost constantly. Could this be the culprit?

    Went to Croydon today with the aim of picking up another zed, to strip the engine for my yellow one and a few other parts for both my zeds, but starting off, getting a train and having to change twice on the way up, due to signalling and other problems was a pain in the ass, the guy picked me up from the station and off we went to his garage. I get to see the zed on the ramp to have a look underneath, shabby is an understatement, lack of care would describe it politely. Fitted with a HKS super drager single exhaust and i cant believe that the back box is stainless and the rest of the pipework is steel to the cat pipes, with more holes in than a cheese grater :thumbdo…

The conbination of a wide band sensor and a boost control all rolled into one little neat gadge.heres an explanation on youtube. and for about the same price as a wide band monitor or a boost controler.feels like you getting one for free.and less clutter in your car.views please.could well be my next purchase.

    First proper drive of my zed tonight and impressed pulled well and autobox seems fine. Surprised how quick it builds for a big heavy car :) still need to do a compression test on Saturday but if low compression while cold on pot 6 it feels fine when warm lol. Can wait for weekend to take it for a longer drive:)

    Hello, i have a 1990 300zx TT with a manual conversion (original UK model) i have done some engine work on it by upgrading the injectors to 555cc with an apexi boost controller among other things, i was supplied with a "generic" chip by the person who socketed my ecu for me and he told me to talk to Nel aka NOS to find out about getting a custom ecu chip made for the car. It currently runs but badly, i have gone through the engine and tried to solve problems such as vac leaks that could cause the issue but have now come to the conclusion that it isnt broken it just needs setting up properly.

    Have a misfire problem. Misses at idle and when cruising off boost. On boost still pulls all the way to the redline. Also when coming off the throttle when not under boost it seems to cut off and stop abruptly and launches you forward in your seat (rubbish explanation I know!) Symptoms also are worse when the car is cold. Any ideas?

    At around half 3 I decided it'd be a good idea to go out in this Arctic whether to try and take my BOV'S off the car and go back to stock recircs. 2 hours later and I've only done one side (passenger). What a nightmare it's turning out to be. Probably wouldn't be too bad if I wasn't trying to do it on my driver in the freezing cold. I couldn't move a bolt on the other side and the head snapped off one of the camps so I gave up for a while on that one. Unsure if I could use the car now until it's finished as I'm guessing one BOV and one recirc would be a little weird.
