As the zed will be painted hopefully in the next few weeks I thought I would pick brains on parts. Service costs etc. What would full brakes cost and suspension. Not really looking at high end stuff yet but reasonable priced then I will build up from there as for the moment I just want my car on the road.

Hi Guys, got a slight problem, had the car off the road for some work and before the PS was okay, however when I took it out today, at first the PS was as light as a feather, could turn full circle with a finger. During the morning on the way to Cambridge, the PS started to "lock up", whilst turning it would start moving okay (lightness had gone) then it would hit a brick wall, with a bit more effort, whoosh.. it went round.., This "locking up" was happening all the time as I could feel it in the wheel. I have checked the fluid level, and its fine, so any suggestions would be grateful. Rich

I'm attempting to fit a set of aerocatches to my bonnet. I've put the pins through the holes in the slam panel, where the original rubber bump stops used to be. With the nut on the pin, above the slam panel, I'm a bit apprehensive of if there's gonna be enough space for the bonnet to shut properly. I don't want to go cutting the bonnet for the body of the catch, to realise that the bonnet now sits up. Have any of you guys had any experience with fitting these? Pictures would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

Question for users of R33 GTR front Brembos. Is it not possible to use the 350z front disc with the R33 GTR calipers because they are also a 324mm diameter / 30mm thickness disc. The only difference being the height or offset which is 54mm vs 49mm. The 350z discs are available a lot cheaper and surely the pads and pistons in the caliper can compensate for this 5mm difference? Anyone tried this with success or failure?

Travelling back to London today down the A1 to the M18 Warnings of an accident ..... slow Got level with it and it was a navy blue (I think) zed with a severely stoved in back end. Looks like it could be a bad case of whiplash hence the title Didn't see who had piled into it unless it was spun into the armco at speed

Hey, I know many have smoothed off the original bobbly bits in the paintwork around the bottom of their Zeds. I plan to do the same. Is it hard to do, am I going to need a sander, or will good old elbow grease be enough, or will that take forever? Cheers!!

I have been incredibly lucky this morning has I have managed to remove both my duff o2 sensors with very little fuss. Obviously I soaked them in plus gas fluid over night, then a simply smashed off the tops of the old sensors and used a 22mm socket to remove! Very lucky! I currently have my BMC out so that made room on the OS and took the battery out on the NS. My car also has no A/C so the pipework on the NS wasn't there to complicate things. My question is do I need to or should I put anything on the new sensor threads and how tight should I wind them in? Also the sensors I bought are from CPZ.... https://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=…

Has anyone got any good recommendations on tyres I'm looking for a 275/35/18 rear and 235/40/18 on the front Can anyone recommend anything, the car will only be very occasionally used ( I don't live in the uk at the moment) and will not be out in the winter. I seem to remember falkens being popular.

I bought my first 300zx TT today (loving it) and the previous owner had a 5 paddle clutch fitted with the view of having more power going through the car. My issue is, with it being a daily driver and I require being able to parallel park quite frequently, what would be a good clutch to swap this out for? Are there issues with skipping with an OEM clutch? Or is it worth putting in a slightly uprated normal clutch? Also, what's the sort of price range I'll be looking at for fitting, is it something who my mechanic who is unfamiliar with zeds be able to do? Many thanks in advance!

I'm soon to replace the BMC as the old one was leaking. The actual nuts and bolts part of the job is obviously a doddle, but I'm wondering if there is a way to avoid having to bleed the entire braking system when doing this because I'm fed up with taking the wheels on and off all the time! Anyone got any tips or procedures I can follow to make this easier? Thanks in advance! :)

Greetings guys :) im writing this post to ask you something, i really wish to have one advice. Im on the edge of opening a business, an online e-shop about engines. I have a big contact in japan and i can virtually buy at good price every single japan engine in every quantity, from an rb26 to a micra cg13. But i have a big doubt in my mind, probably i need to move out of my country. Here in italy is impossible to find japan engines, so this business will work, but due to a recent extreme tax increase they made impossible to own a sportcar, so everyone is selling his baby. (i need to pay yearly 1100£ tax for owning the z32, plus insiurance.) I was th…

Hi Guys. When braking at slow speeds the car makes a loud knocking sound on the front and it feels like there is a bit of movement. This happens if I start reversing, is makes a knock as I start moving and feels like the front shifts slightly (best way I can describe)... Do you reckon this could be the front tension rods being loose?... Best, W

So I decided to treat my self to a new daily, my civic was slowly deteriorating and I figured I deserved something a it special seen as the z is still off the road. Managed to get a good deal on a Jaguar xfS (I'll upload some pics when I take some) Took the two hour drive yesterday to pic it up and on my way home I believe somewhere on the M1, look in my rear view mirror to be greeted with the similar sight of some zed headlights cruising up the outside lane. Turns out it was TonyB, and what a lovely looking example it is, got my mate to take a couple of pictures as we passed. Wasn't expecting you to recognise me in the jag, plus my hairs grown a lot since…

Hi just quick question, I'm not a big believer that 0-60 is the be all and end all its made out as I find in gear acceleration much more important and usable , but regardless I'd wonder if anyone has tested there 0-60. My car is dyno'd at 426 bhp. I like it to much to destroy it and like to treat it like an old car but if I was brave enough to give it 4000 rpm dump the clutch and try and get best 0-60 time has anyone any opinion on a rough time ?? Also any rough guide what it would top out at. Thanks for any help . My guess would be 175 ish mph and around 4.5 to 60, does this sound about right thank you
