I bought my first 300zx TT today (loving it) and the previous owner had a 5 paddle clutch fitted with the view of having more power going through the car. My issue is, with it being a daily driver and I require being able to parallel park quite frequently, what would be a good clutch to swap this out for? Are there issues with skipping with an OEM clutch? Or is it worth putting in a slightly uprated normal clutch? Also, what's the sort of price range I'll be looking at for fitting, is it something who my mechanic who is unfamiliar with zeds be able to do? Many thanks in advance!

I'm soon to replace the BMC as the old one was leaking. The actual nuts and bolts part of the job is obviously a doddle, but I'm wondering if there is a way to avoid having to bleed the entire braking system when doing this because I'm fed up with taking the wheels on and off all the time! Anyone got any tips or procedures I can follow to make this easier? Thanks in advance! :)

Hi Guys. When braking at slow speeds the car makes a loud knocking sound on the front and it feels like there is a bit of movement. This happens if I start reversing, is makes a knock as I start moving and feels like the front shifts slightly (best way I can describe)... Do you reckon this could be the front tension rods being loose?... Best, W

So I decided to treat my self to a new daily, my civic was slowly deteriorating and I figured I deserved something a it special seen as the z is still off the road. Managed to get a good deal on a Jaguar xfS (I'll upload some pics when I take some) Took the two hour drive yesterday to pic it up and on my way home I believe somewhere on the M1, look in my rear view mirror to be greeted with the similar sight of some zed headlights cruising up the outside lane. Hi running a 1990 tt with 426 bhp, love it and don't wanna go overboard but thinking of an inter cooler, iv heard if you front mount it affects cooling so is it worth just dropping a cooler in the original location any idea on power gains from this ? Also iv thought about weight saving, has anyone else done this? Eg removing rear seat maybe replacing heAvy electric front seats etc, any tips ideas be appreciated

Hi just quick question, I'm not a big believer that 0-60 is the be all and end all its made out as I find in gear acceleration much more important and usable , but regardless I'd wonder if anyone has tested there 0-60. My car is dyno'd at 426 bhp. I like it to much to destroy it and like to treat it like an old car but if I was brave enough to give it 4000 rpm dump the clutch and try and get best 0-60 time has anyone any opinion on a rough time ?? Also any rough guide what it would top out at. Thanks for any help . My guess would be 175 ish mph and around 4.5 to 60, does this sound about right thank you

I was under my car today, tightening the belts slightly and I noticed a slight leak from my steering rack. Has anyone removed their rack and changed the seals? Was it successful? Any recommendations on the best place to get the seals from?

Hi comrade's I have a strange issues with my digital climate control pod on my 300zx 90' RHD TT. The problem is that the LED-display don't show any digits, all work, buttons and sound work but no digits. I buy on ebay some used Climate Control POD for RHD in excellent condition. But when i install i see nothing on the screen :mad: Before install new pod i take the screwdriver and uninstall the electric scheme with LCD-display on my old and new pods. I found on display on the left bottom corner some burns spot (on the old and on the new in the left bottom corner!). Then i install new pod and of course it's not work for me. I don't now maybe it's a bug on every Cli…

Looking over on the yank forums most say it's quicker (or less hassle anyway) to remove the gearbox to remove these? Is this the case with UK specs and all? Just wasn't sure if there would be much difference between US and UK spec regarding the layout of everything.

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone knows how much weight can be taken out of a zed? Since I'm considering an NA instead of a TT at the moment, are they much lighter? I know they don't have hicas for example, but is the r230 diff much heavier than the r200 diff? Did the TT get any additional chassis stiffening? And so on. Has anyone compiled a list on here somewhere of what things weigh? Also, are there any chassis repair manuals floating around online which could help me find out which bits aren't structural, etc?

Some ****er kicked mine off yesterday and broke the mechanism if anyone has one close by that would be perfect so I can pick it up as I've had enough, spent my day off trying to fix it. I'm In north London. Doesn't matter the colour.

In short, how can I check whether it's woeking right? In the past, I've been told it didn't seem to be working correctly. Anyway, it's never really been an issue but something I knew I'd one day look at. That day is today since I'm off work. It's a greddy Profec B-Spec 2 I have. How do I know if it's working right? Do I simply turn all the settings right down and see if it boosts less? For info, I bought a new control unit for it on eBay - don't know if it works or not but need to know how to check it first.

I want to fit adjustable coilover suspension mainly just for ride height adjustment since fitting new wheels, I like the stock feel of the suspension and don't want to change from that too much. Any suggestions on a stock feel coilover?

I think my BMC is leaking from a small point that sits between the 2 pipe connections on the side of the unit facing the engine. Has anyone else experienced this and is it just a case of time for a full new BMC or would a seal kit solve this? Just seems a funny place for a leak, its definitely not the pipe connections though.
