looking for a cheap vehicle transporter company to take car from south east london sw19 area about 80 miles up m4 direction?? anyone know a good cheap company as prices im getting quoted are pretty dam high.

Just checking - just about to buy a rear strut brace but have KYB's all round. Is this going to be a problem? Cheers.

Hearing a strange noise on idle from the left (as you're looking at the car) side of the plenum. It only happens on idle and dissapears when the revs pick up.Sounds like a small chain rattle or something......any ideas?

Anyone have any handy hints about getting these bloody things out?! :rofl: Trying to change the driver side one and it aint playing ball. Seems to be seized solid. Can you get to it any other way than reaching down the back of the engine with a long extension bar? Answers on a postcard please :bow:

Morning all, Just want to check the best place to fix the inductive pickup from the timing light. I've read on TT.Net not to use the black wire from the PTU and it said you can just clamp it around the wires coming off the no.1 coilpack. Well I tried that and it didn't seem to like it :( How have you guys done it? Thanks Vijay

I've bought a S14 from Japan which should arrive in 2 months time. It has a n/a motor in it which is lsightly underpowered for my liking. I'm toying with the idea of doing an engine swap, but something different. So how anout a VG30DETT engine in a stripped lightweight drift S14? sounds like fun to me. Reason is surely these can be picked up cheap and they should have tons of grunt without the need for modding, plus i'm really after a big V6 sound like from the 350z. Do they sound like that at all? Anyway, does anyone know of anyone who has attempted this? obviously i'd need to fabricate some new mounts, but i'm wondering a) is the engine gonna be too heavy…

my brother said he saw a red ZX manual (he was a bit sketchy on details) in the Alford chipper car park at the Grampian transport museum on Sunday. you dont see many out my way, just wondered if it was someone local? i was there in the morning in my blue Z, but left after i discovered it was only a childrens fun day and not a cavalcade. so i never saw you. had a nice run up to Huntly though (between the showers)

Think my auto box is on its way out :headvswal Was driving on the M4 at about 80mph. In 4th and everything was sweet. I floored it to over take but the 'box just went into neutral, I ease off and it goes back into 4th. Its been doing this on and off since I bought the car. This time however, went into what seemed like N, then a loud sharp clunk. Still in 'N'. I eased off and back into 4th like usual. On my way home tonight, same thing, tried to overtake, went into 'N' then a ckunk again. Now, no drive what so ever. I pulled into the slow lane, doing about 50, still no drive. :headvswal :headvswal Can someplease please give me the good news and say this is an easy job to do :rofl: . I have had the baggins bypass so water has been fine for a few months but now a different water pipe at the back of the engine has a slight leak I can see the water dribbling down on turn off :headvswal . I have used SPRAE's engine by numbers picture (thanks SPRAE hope you dont mind) to highlight the area of the pipe i mean, I can undo the top jubilee clip easy enough as the pipe in question is next to the back of the plenum if looking at it it runs to the left then goes at a right angle downwards. Got a 90 reg TT with JDM brain and profec B 11. prob is engine keeps flooding and am fed up with taking plugs out and having to dry them before car will start!! Also the electric fan has started to come on all the time today!! Is the sensor for this the one next to temp gauge sensor because it doesnt make a difference to the fan if i unplug it :confused: Paul.

Found this module under the passenger seat when I was cleaning!!!! What does it do coz i've looked under the passenger footwell and I seem to already have one(but a different type) Also there are wires joined up everywhere under there and a little box with HICAS LOCK on it? Pics attached

Having just sold my Accord Type R in favour of a new flat and wedding, I am after something a bit different.... and thinking of a ZX TT... Just got an insurance quote for one, it is an import and the insurance company asked if it was right hand drive and I said yes... They did not ask about imports... And only want an extra £14 off me. I thought imports cost a lot more to insure? Was the UK TT car available in 1990? Also, anything I should be looking for when buying one? It's an auto, with most extras on it, and a full years MOT.
