I Would Be Grateful To You For Any Advice.the Middle Section Of My Exhaust Pipe Has Rusted Through. The Back Section Is Fujitsubo And It Looks Like It Is Stainless. A wierd one for you techies out there! On the way to work this morning my daily motor, which is a mk1 mr2 decided that when the throttle's held at between 1700-1800 revs it'll bounce down to idle and then back up again and keep going between the two. It drives fine otherwise and is it's usual healthy self. I'm thinking a dead spot on the TPS or something like that? The idle's rock stead at 800rpm, about where it should be. Anyone seen these symptoms on other motors? cheers in advance. Trying to keep two nice motors on the road! :headvswal

I had a metal end tank fabricated on my std radiator, Koyo not in the budget for the minute. Anyway, its been off for ages and fitted last night. I just want to check there are no pipes/hose that go onto the 2 pipes/nipples on the r/h/s of the rad. Otherwise I guess they just go to air? (as you're looking at it from the front). Not explained it very well, a pic would be better but at work now so not able to. Thing is, I ran the car for 10-15 mins and the rad hardly got hot and temp needle barely moved. I fitted a hard pipe kit at the same time. Thanks.

I'm finally getting around to prepping my headlight panel for spraying, and wondered if anyone has done this before? I can drill the holes out easy enough, but what about the ventilation slits? Anyone got any tips for clearing these out (dremel, knife, saw, kango)? Any tips appreciated! CheerZ Steve :)

You flashed past me as I was waiting to come onto the roundabout and headed off towards Lode through Quy and I came tearing up behind you (in the black Z) through the traffice lights off the roundabout to see if I recognised the car as belonging to anyone on here. When you turned left to go to Lode I turned right towards Bottisham.

my boyfriends aircon aint working, it uses the old R12 system but the gas for these is now illegal. There are substitute gases but these will leak out quicker. Does anyone know of a fitting kit that would allow for a conversion from the old system to the new R134 system and roughly how much this would cost?

Hi, does anybody know what the difference if any between the centre bearings are from twin turbo to n/a and auto to manual, as I'm told they are different and I have a mixed bag for a prop, using an n/a manual front section (smaller uj)coupled with the twin tub auto centre bearing and rear auto prop section with the cv at rear . as I have a vibration after manual conversion and propshaft firm has balanced it again , but wondered if the centre bearing had a different dimensional size or alignment if you know what I mean Richard

Fairly recently aquired a 300zx which is running well, but the oil pressure gauge is intermittent. I do not have a workshop manual on this car but because the engine has not as yet blown up, I believe that this must be a sensor or gauge problem. The car is non turbo import 1989 Z32. Can any-body throw light on this subject please. Also is it possible to obtain a good workshop manual?

Theres probably a link for this but i cant find it, I bought a couple of decat pipes a couple of weeks ago and ive been doing the rounds to see if anyone localy will fit em coz i dont have time, a couple of places said they would do it but warned me that the car may not pass an MOT cos of emmissions, how do you guys get away with it, also adding things like a new chip, bigger injectors, induction, etc, do they fook up the emmissions as well? do all cars need to pass emmision tests or those only manufactured after a certain year? Thanks in advance Pete

been using this stuff to clean my alloys with ages, it really is powerful stuff for cleaning shite off your wheels. Spray on , wait 15 mins , then either scrub with a brillo pad and hose down. Or, if you're feeling lazy go to you're nearest car wash and blast it off. Way better than the expensive stuff you buy at a motorfactors. And costs about 2 quid. :nana2:

Hi, I purchased a fairly poorly Z at the beginning of the year and have been dragging it back to life ever since. I've had quite a bit of work done on it but I'm sure it's not running quite right. I've had a gearbox rebuild, but it still seems fairly unresponsive when pottering about, i.e. loads of turbo lag and maybe clutch slipping. Having never driven another one means I have nothing to compare it with. So I was wondering if there is anyone in the Cambridge Area who has a fairly standard auto TT that I could compare it to? Let me know...
