any one heard of or got an eletric supercharger fitted to there zed, just about to buy one??

Could anyone tell me where or maybe how to get chrome finished headlights? I also need some chrome indicator lenses as well if anyone has any. Thanks.

ok, boyfriend just bought a zed, everything seems fine with it but when he started it up this morning it was whistling really loud. He took it up and down the dual carraigeway to warm it up and it seemed to stop but i was just wondering what it could be?

recently took on the chalange to repaire my zed when it started pressureising the colling sytem after spending considerable amounts on reconing the cylider heads and turbos i set on the big re-build after a long hard week my zed was ready to be turned over to prim the oil pressure up then the grand finally the start up then nothing just turning over and over so cheked for spark ok cheked for fuel pressure ok (both sides of the injector rail) removed a plug bone dry no whiff of fuel leads me to belive not injecting. not had time to look any closer but dont know whether low brake fluid/no drive belt to a/c pump or powersteering pump or low power steering fluid have a part t…

Arite guys!! Its come to that time where my import red zed needs a respray due to bein 50 diff shades of red :( Ive started to prep her and want to remove the two small roof strips between the boot and the targa roof also want to remove the same strip but the one that runs along side the front windscreen! They seem to move when pushed but i dont to force them to hard incase they break off! Does anyone know how to take these off and if not where i could purchase replacements!! Cheers, Andy

Does anyone know of anyone that supplies the pre-cut kits that replace or go over the original tweed-like material in the cockpit? Does ir replace, or go over? There is one on e-bay at the moment, but it's a wine red colour, was looking for a brighter red colour. Cheers in advance Jon

Hi I have just bought a very nice 1990 Twin Turbo (import) and need some advise....... I want to service the car are there any dramas i should consider when.. 1/ Changing the plugs 2/ Oil and filter 3/ Fitting an induction kit I also want to increase the boost am i right in saying i need to upgrade the chip inside the ecu and then add a boost jet? what is the boost jet and where does it go? What sort of psi should i look to run and what sort of increase should i expect to see, can anyone recomend a good suppler for the service parts and upgrade kit, what sort of cost should i expect to pay for the induction kit? Heyt guys, after takin off and putting back on my boost pipes many times, they have given up the ghost and formed mahoooosive splits in them, so i though time to upgrade to a set of mice hard pipes. At the moment Smithy's pipes are looking like the most popualr and cost effective option, but as i do with most things, i look to have a good look at all my options before i set my mind on any certain set. the only other make that i have managed to find at the moment is the HKS intercooler piping kit at £323 inc vat, which is £100 more than smith's pipes, and in all honesty i cant see them being £100 better in any way ( doing a BMW and relying on the name HKS t…

Hi chaps, I'm currently trying to decide what car to use for my next project. I know little about 300zx's but I am familiar with tuning turbo cars. Could you tell me; 1) What the hp limit of the standard fuel system is. From the FAQ's it sounds like 300's have quite small injectors which run out around the same point as the stock turbos 16-17psi. 2) If going beyond 16-17psi and changing injectors etc, which forms of engine management do you opt for. Greddy emanage, Power FC? 3) What is the hp capacity of the standard airflow meter? 4) How hard is it to work on a 300zx? E.g. in doing say a turbo change or fitting a downpipe etc? Are there any …

Just about to replace my rear shocks with KYB AGX ones. Mine's a UK car though so it has those actuators attached to the current rear shocks to stiffen them when you pull up the handbrake. Now I've already removed all the trim so I can get on and replace the shocks at the weekend, but what do I do with these actuator units? Can I just cut the wires and bin them? Currently I hear them 'click' every time I park and pull on the handbrake (I have taken them off of the top of the shocks). Cheers,

Hey everyone, this is one of my first threads, so bear with me. Im stationed in Italy and they don't have a clue what they're looking at when they look at my car. I drove it to venice the other day (approx. 100km) and towards the end of the trip, the turbos started to whisstle really loud and then it sounded like an explosion from the front of the car and immediatly i had a loss in power. The car still idled ok and the temp was ok for a while. It finally died on me, since you can't pull off to the shoulder of the Autostrada, I had to start up and drive it off. as i was fettling in with the zed, as you do, i happened to be lying down at the front end of the zed. As i looked into the front vent of the bumber i noticed oil on the underside of my apexi BOVs and a little puddle on the undertray!!!!! :confused: WTF!!!!! i tell you what if this is a sign of of one of my turbo's on the way out, im taking the zed to an abandoned car park and burning the bloody thing!!! :mad: hopefully some one will tell me i'm over reacting and its only an easily replaceable seal or something any ideas cheers, Nick

Have anybody had a twin turbo flywheel without dowel fitted for the clutch cover,(no holes in flywheel for them) and would it have any detriment to clutch?? Richard
