My TT seems to losing powersteering fluid. The Hicas light comes on, I top it up, it goes off for a while and before long its on again. I live in london so there must a lot to pressure on the system from parking and driving at slow speeds. It seems to be getting worse - can anyone recommend a mechanic in london that specialises in powersteering/zeds?

Hello all, Firstly I do not want to start any mass-debates or anything just a quick opinion from those in the knowledge on which to use. I have always used Millers XFS 5-40w and am now due an oil change so was looking at the Castrol RS 10-60w would this be a good move or shall i stay using the same as always?? If it makes any difference my TT is running 12psi and has 67000 miles. Thanks again, Ant

Hi guys Guess What, my ZX TT has been going fine for about 3 weeks, and as soon as we hit May and Jap fest is soon, it starts playing up! Here are the simptoms which I really need to get sorted ASAP. I havnt done a ECU cose check, as one, I dont know how too, and secondly at the moment untill the end of the week I have no internet access at home! I took the car out the other day, going well, let it warm up before booting it etc. Took it down a long straight and it didnt seem that quick? Ok upto 60ish, but a bit lame around 100, (my vectra 175bhp Turbo would have left it for dust)!!! I then noticed it was getting very hot! The needle was on the H!!…

After fitting a new broken hose just behind the firewall feeding the ProfecB spec2.........still only 0.5 bar Have run a current through the solenoid valve and can hear it click so all must be fine with that. Taken off and re-fitted all air lines to and from the solenoid valve checked all electrical connections and all seems well....still on 0.5 bar Looks like the controller will have to be sent back to the states for testing which will take a few weeks........has anyone any other idea's i could try before doing this tomorrow???? Is there a way of checking if the controller is or isn't working for sure before i send it tomorrow some sort of resistance…

I think my zx tt motor retired yesterday! She has a very bad knock in the left side head and misfires badly. Not sure though and need some expert advice. I can obviously not drive it anywhere. If any one lives close to me and can come and have a look it will be greatly appreciated. I live in N.E London and my nr is 07931144034. I have coffee and tea. Cheers :headvswal

made the mistake of raising the drivers door glass while the door was open and then got out to close it. The door glass had gone up too far and the glass clattered against the T top edge and promptly snapped off the stud that rides the guide rail. Now I have a floppy window. Is there a fix anyone or is it a special part from Nissan?

ive had my 300 twin turbo recently converted to a manual which im very happy with. its also been decatted, stainless back boxes and a 70bhp ecu and boost upgrade. today at york dragway i was managing a 1/4 mile of 14.2 at 101mph. do you think this is about right, thought it a bit slow myself .........got wasted by an m3 evo!!? i got a blitz air filter to fit but sure it isnt guna make much difference! any ideas? felt it was hesitating in higher revs, as though it was underfuelled (always run on optimax). thanks! :nana2:

I know there has been a lot of talk about BOV's lately but I am a little confused as to when they should release the pressure. At what psi should the pressure be released? I fitted some this morning before breakfast which was a nice and easy job, took it out, revs were fine etc I am running about 14 psi but the bov's vent to atmosphere around 9psi. I know I can cut down the spring etc .. but my question is what is the ideal pressure that they should vent? Is it just positive boost? I don't want to damage the tubs with the air going back to them .. Compressor surge. Should I just set them to vent at a stupid psi, like 3 or 4? Can anyone let me know? …

:headvswal Hi I have a late 91 TT I had a very slight misfire and hesitation witch got worse over time. After lots of money taking it to be checked out by specialists and changing the fuel pump, fuel pressure dampener, fuel pressure regulator , fuel filter i tested it with different coil packs, with no change the car suddenly started running on 5 cylinders (this happened over 4 months) then tested the injectors and found one was not working. Got a new one and after hours of fun taking off the Plenum and re fitting it the car ran fantastically for 3 weeks, then the slight misfire and very bad hesitation on acceleration came back. Cam belt has been changed new plugs cleaned…
