I spose it can happen to the best of us - pressure to buy a 'more sensible car'. One with 4 doors, 5 seats a boot etc. So I have caved in to the demands from so many around me and ordered a 'sensible car'. Well almost! - the 5 Litre V8 M5 arrives next week  But what to do with the zed? Do I sell it for a fraction of what I've spent on it? Do I keep it and let it grow embarassing mould? or do I get it in for a wide arse kit and bling the nobbly bits off it? (PS option 3 may also have other domestic implications!)

REcently I started a thread about a problem with the passenger door lock, it will unlock when the drivers door is unlocked but won't lock. Someone advised me that there were fuses in the drivers footwell and one of these caused the same problem. Trouble is, I can't find any fuses there ! Any ideas? Cheers

After discovering why i have .5 bar boost which was a broken air feed to the controller decided to find something a little better. The new hose can withstand up to 180 degrees from http://www.samcosport.com i've also bought a sleeve for it that slips over and can withstand a heat of up to 500 degrees.........think that should do the trick! Both available from Demon Tweeks

got a squeak coming from the nearside front suspension, sounds like I have a load of mice hidden under there! Can't work out where it's coming from and only happens when driving, can't replicate it on my drive, almost sounds like somehting needs tightening, any clues as to what?

My Z is going to be seeing a fair bit of work soon and one of the things I wanted to change are the big, ugly side indicators. I have the clear one's but still think they are horrible. I'm after a smaller, sleeker looking light. I've found some triangle led types that I quite like but just wanted a 2nd opinion........are they pikey or Max Power-ish ??

...a new one on me... Now and again, the red ''lights'' warning light starts to blink on and off - in time with a faint glow from the alternator warning light. I replaced the altenator a few months ago with a 2nd hand one. I presume this 2nd hand altenator is near the end of it's life as the warning light glows very dimly now and again, not always. But I've never seen the ''lights'' warning light flashing before - and as I've checked all of the lights front and back in some detail - all looks ok - I'm at a loss to know what's causing it. It's speed related, more revs, faster blinking, slow down and the blinking slows. I'm going to replace the al…

Hi everyone, Seeing as how my car is too wide to fit in the garage (or at least too wide to fit in and allow me to get out without scratching the door until I cover the wall in foam) I was thinking of getting one of those tarpaulins to put over the car to keep it dry when it rains and stop it getting filthy after I've just spent 3 hours cleaning and polishing it. Seen one covering up a Jag the other day and decided it might be a good plan. Anyone know any good places to get one from? Thanks, Bart

Temp guage reading normal at idle but under pressure rises to boiling, flushed the rad but not the block and the rad intake pipe hot (normal) but the block intake pipe cold (not normal). The matrix has been bypassed when the fella bought the car off a club owner (hope not one of ours as its a bit of a shed, no intake box or induction, just air pipes). He drove it up from basingstoke and all ok but now running poor. ounds like its miising on one cylinder and hoping the worst hassent happend, water in. Any suggestions. Could this simple be a thermastat prob and the missing down to a change of plugs or a coil pack prob?

Just taken off the front tyres and the insides have fallen to pieces, I thought this might be due to -ve camber as the car is lowered on tein suspension but on closer insepection it seems that the tyres are rubbing on the suspension components ( the underside of the big smooth metal strut ) and it has basically gorged the tyre edge. Is this still a result of -ve camber and / or is the car to low ? Guess I need camber kit anyway. Where do I get one from ?

I've just finished the engine refitting guide as promised. Link to it below... http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=48712 This is to compliment the engine removal guide I did some time back. I've also updated this slightly as well. http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=44738 So if you took your engine out and were waiting for this, you can now put it back in again!

I have spotted a red Z LWB with a Supra style rear wing and custom badgeing on my way home from work the last 2 nights. Is anyone staying in Tenby, South Wales for a hol? If it is i am wondering if I can be real cheeky and have a poke around it to see if I really do want one? I know I do want one but it might help me stop drinking so I can afford it faster if I touch one!

Ive fitted smithy's twin induction kit with some blitz style filters. Since fitting I have noticed that when the car is cold the power is erractic. idle is normal but when i press on the accelerator i feel a definate loss of power and then a sudden kickin. but even the kickin erractic, i feel the car pickup and loose it. Its fine when its warm and it didnt do this before i fitted the induction kit? any ideas?
