I am off to Oz for a year and have decided to keep my Zed for when I come home. I have arranged to have it stored on some private land but this is out in the open and would obviously prefer to have it covered, and locked up if poss. Does anyone have any such storage space like this available for renting?. TIA

Ok, just got my car back from the car painters (pics soon!) 1) notice there is a 'gurgling' sound coming from the door area on both passenger and drivers side, only at idle. Suspect AIV valves, am I right? So what do I do, remove them? drill a hole? Can a hole be drilled while everything is still in place on the car? Is there one on each side of the car? Also, why would it be fine a week ago, and bad now only a week after the car painters had it? 2) I pulled apart the drivers side seat control because forwards wasnt working only to find ball bearing and springs and plastic parts flying everywhere, is there an easy way to get it back together? it's killing me!

got a series 2 with the centre panel that lights up and sometimes its on other times it flickers then goes off sometimes dosent come on at all , where can i look to find fault?? i take it that its a led not a bulb??

Down to buying the last few bits now I just need to know what the best oil to put in the new engine? + the right grade. Also I am after a good set of plugs, I was running a set of NGK irradium plugs I have not got the number to hand. I was going to reuse them but when I removed them from the heads all the white ceramic had cracked and broken up :confused: The car will have the following spec if this will help JWT 530bb sport tubs, not sure on how much boost but as much as allowed :) Nismo 555's uprated intercooler Nitrous Oxide (will use as an anti lag system or running upto 100hp) cheers john D

well ffs what to doo?? did all the valve stem oil seals with the head on and just finished rebuilding her!! fired first time no probbs but smoked for a while!! took her for a run and some smoke again white smoke but it soon cleared, but coming down the hill again and setting off again i got a little puff of blue smoke again :mad: nowhere near as bad as before but its still smoke!! do the valve stem seals need time to bed in?? whats next piston rings!! tubs!! could it be the 02 sensors over fueling?? would the next best step be to have a go with a consult?? if so anyone near me in north wales with one?? questions …

Hi all i Own a z32 in the Jap import colour TH1 which is Nissan Dark blue Pearl..Which is alot Darker than the U.K. Spec Mineral blue Metalic TK3... I don't know if many of you have seen this colour but I wanted to ask your Opinion on the Colour of my Zed as i am thinking of changing colour... I dont want to make any drastic decision's until i get some view's on my standard colour at the moment... So have a look at my ride's section if you have not seen this colour before and let me know what you think and any recommendation's to what colours that make the zed look good and stand out! i think my zed looks really dull and too dark..doesnt seem to show its curves an…

hi all, my wife uses the zed mostly for going to & from work, its about 15 miles a day in total. when i get in it at the weekend, i like to have a little play, but as soon as i floor it it chucks out a big cloud of grey smoke, it does clear and gets better each time, its done 68,000 miles and had recon tubs at about 60,000. im thinking 02 sensors or just choked up from the misses pottering around, any help or advice would be great, dont like it being driven if theres as poss problem. thanks steve

Hi everyone, my name on here used to be Rich1 but i havn't been on here for a few years cos sold the Z but for some reason i wasn't allowed to log in so re-registered. Anyway i miss my Z so now going for another, last one was a jap import 1990 300zx tt 2+2 auto, now i have decided to go for another jap import 1991 300zx non turbo 2+2 auto, what i wanna really know is there any bad things to look for on this motor before i buy? it reads 114,000 kmh on the clock and to be honest its the best one there, exterior and interior is unmarked and no worn seats or strips on the roof flakin off, under the bonnet is very clean. I like the fact that they not only vent to atmosphere but you can also use them as recirculating valves as well. Just wondered what you guys think of them. I've bee looking around for exhausts i like for my z and decided that i want some Hks carbon ti rear boxes now as you can imagine they are very expensive. But i was browsing Halfords today and saw some Ripspeed ones which look fairly similar and they were only £100 each. Obviously the Hks would be better build quality but what i'm worried about as they are universal and Ripspeed would they do the same job or loose power. Basicly i'm trying to save allot of cash for something that looks almost the same, so can i have your views and if it's worth doing or not.

I've been running a '92 Z32 auto with no turbo boost for a couple of years, car runs fine but slow! Boost gauge moves from -14 up to zero but not into positive zone. Is there an easy way of diagnosing fault, I've been into Nissan dealership & they say replace turbo's. Could it not be an electical/hose/valve problem? Can hear the turbos spinning on acceleration. Had the car 6 years, it's a bit tired so don't want to spend a fortune. Also have no workshop manual, anybody know where you can get one other than Nissan? Finally drivers side headlight appears to be pointing at a very low angle, don't tend to drive at night so only noticed recently. Inner lense appears …

Hi all, 1. I am moving to spain and want to take my zx as with as i had no intrest in selling it as it was and now ive spent the money fixing it i want to take it with me. 2. Does any one know the settings for dump valves running at standard boost on standard turbo's. 3. Has any one replaced the clutch on there car how easy is it and do you have a guide to doing this. :slap:

Hi All Am new to your great forum, but wondered if any of you could offer some assistance. I recently acquired a 1990 Twin Turbo, but the starter motor has gone. My question is: 'What degree of difficulty is there in removing the motor? Is it easily accessable, or do I have to start removing other parts in order to get to it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Sammy

looking for a little bit of advice, My VG30E has started to really rattle (topend) it started last week so i pulled the rockers covers off and replaceed the hydrolic followers and it's been fine untill last night and now it's back, the car's doen about 30 miles or so from the followers replace. any idea's why this could be happening

Im thinking of buying a 300zx as my next car. But I find it hard to find really good ones for sale. It seems 95% are dogs. Is it still possible to get for example a 1994 or above with 50,000mlies or less on the clock, Unmodified in anyway, black or silver with full leather and air con ect? If so where cause most on autotrader web site look older and high miles. Also whats the running costs like ? I no my insurance would probably be over £1000 as im only 26. Also when did they stop making 300zx's Iv seen models as new as 1999 but i thought they stopped making them years before that? And is there any garages that can handel the likes of a z in central scotland?

as above...you were heading away from the A1M junction into stevenage...I was going opposite way on full boost...would of given you a royal wave but I was just getting straightend out after exiting sideways off the roundabout so thought id leave that one ;) looked like you acknowledged a fellow zed but i was in a black one so thus...going much to fast to see mate :smw:

Hi guys. Went round Brands Hatch yesterday abd it was brilliant. Easily the fastest car in my class (the novice class, it was my 1st track day and i was lapping everyone and eating Porsche turbos!). :dance: Trouble is that the session before the last one my car was smoking on idle and shortly before the end of the session I had to come in coz the car didnt feel right. Now i can only hear the left BOV and the engine sounds like its misfiring (sounds like a boxer engine). Any ideas would be most appreciated Thanks Bensjammin
