General Discussions - 300ZX Related

I want to fit some of the chrome m3 mirrors from halfords. Trouble is (obviously) they dont do a 300zx back plate to fit the mirrors to Just wondered if anyone has experimented fitting these ? And if so which back plates did they buy and modify ? Im simply not spending 250 quid on Veilside ones. So £40 for a trial on M3 ones seems fair to me Bring on the slagging off ......................................

i need help quick have got my maf off cause i think that is where my running prob lies i.e finding it hard to accelorate below 3000 revs. got it in front of me and there is a rusty screw where my sus blitz filter fastens on to the maf so it will need drying (i have recently found out the problem with fitting this filter) but what i need to know is the rod that hangs down inside the maf looks all black with dirt is there a special cleaner for this or is wd40 and a cloth ok. i know to be gentle with the thin wire. thanx in advance for any help :bow:

what bulbs are people using once theyv upgraded to 99 spec rear lights? went into halfrauds and local parts places and the only bulbs that would fit were clear - cant find any orange or silvatec style ones??? any ideas?

Further to the Z running like a bag o' sh!te on the way home from Peterborough,I started her up later and all was fine!!-anyways did a A/T diagnostic and it came up with''throttle sensor circuit is shorted or disconnected''.What Iwould like to know ,is this the tps or is there another sensor for the A/T?-just in case it plays up again!! I want to replace the bulbs in my headlights but I can't find schematics on workshop manual. Do I have to remove the front panel and take the headlight units out? I do not seem to be able to get to back of units otherwise.

as with most zeds my brakes are s.h.1.t what would be a good replacement for my tired old brakes cant afford expensive set up so cheapest option only please :D

Hi, 1992 SWB, series 1, T top, Turbo, manual, leather, standard as far as I know, red, (so not a fast one then, as we all know black is best) 50k miles, jap import, described as very good condition. What do you lot think its worth please?

Has anyone had experience with these brake disks, which one is the best as I need to replace mine. Any other front disk makes that are worth considering? (stock size)

I have been offered a quad light rear panel without the lights. They suggested I could get the lights from a Fiat breaker or similar. Is this correct and how easy would it be to fit?

I got in touch with Luke at Zcentre who gave me a part number but unfortunately it turned out to be the wrong part. I was going to buy one of these from Luke but it would have meant driving all the way to Nottingham as he won't post due to 33% of them getting damaged in transit in the past! Same old story peeps...Zed wont start :mad: Have trawled through 500 threads this morning since 6am and have loadsa ideas to try thanks to the excellent database. Would appreciate any further ideas or extra tips if you can think of any please. PROBLEM: last used Zed on friday afternoon and has been running superbly for 4 months since ive had it.
