I'm thinking of painting my headlight surround white. I think this will give a whole different lokk to the front of the car and wont break the bank. has anyone else painted their headlights the same colour as the rest of the car? Would I need to use a high heat paint to cope with the heat from the lights??? Got normal bulbs BTW Thanks Andrew :)

Just had EU out and in bits, the EPROM is socketed. There is a silver label on the EPROM and all that is hand written on it is 1991 16.27 or /99/16.27 and AB9121J1. My question is, has it been chipped, and if so, with what ? Any help anyone ?

Me again I'm in the process of reconditioning my Z- about to have my engine and tubs swapped, and i'm trying to find out what other things I should have done whilst its out of the car (i.e. which other jobs require an engine-out). I know EGR removal pretty much requires it and so does swapping the tubs, but does anyone know what other stuff can be done whilst its out of the car? Im planning on changing pumps, altenator, PTU etc. in the future anyway so if any of them need engine-out I'd really appreciate info. Thanks in advance

  8. after looking at the hoses where they need to be fitted I found the driver side one blanked off with a bolt or something with only about an inch of hose coming off the metal intake pipe. The passenger side one was there so I took it off and blew down it, it was very easy, no restriction at all. Now i'm sure this isn't right, help please guys, don't know if it's been fooked with or what. With the drivers side one blocked could there be something wrong with that turbo or what, I just dunno, is there anyone in the notts area with any knowledge that could have a look at all, cheers guys

hi folks, took the front panel of this morning to check the air filter was clean and i noticed a valve on the drivers side beside the 'air-con drier?' the vacuum hose has been removed and an 8mm bolt shoved up it to blank it off. can anyone tell me 1. what it is 2. what it does 3. why would anyone want to disconnect it 4. is it worth reconnecting it again cheers Fraser,

Hi, I have only just joined here and already need some help. My ZX is a 1991 TT 2+2 with 50,000 miles on the clock. She is pretty standard but I have just had something disturbing happen. I hadn't checked the water for some time and the car was running good with no overheating. Last weekend I checked the rad and put some 3 kettles of water in. Since then I have only done about 10 miles and the temp guage went loopy!!!, right off the clock. I managed to get it home but now when I pour water in the rad it pours straght out from somewhere at the back of the engine. Any ideas????? or help would be appreciated. Martyn :headvswal

Hi just got my first 300 and have a problem, hopefully someone on here will be able to help. When turning at slow speed while accelerating, such as out of a turning of a minor road to major road there as a severe vibration mainly from the rear of the car, there is no vibration if I do not accelerate round the corner, there is also no vibration during normal driving although the car does tend to drift to one side sometimes. Any help would be most appreciated, thanks. Lee

Hi boys and girls. Unfortunately I am thinking about selling my z :nono: :slap: Also thinking about replacing it for a swb n/a :hyper: - i.e. main reason for selling is the cost of ownership inc. insurance. Just wondering how much you all think is a fair price to ask for it... Its an import 91H, manual, TT 2+2, red, 17" split rims, leather, high level rear spoiler. Since being in the uk - Full 60k service after purchase in June, dual 5" stainless custom built exhaust, remote start alarm & tub timer, current 75k miles, new RBS clutch, new brembo disks, green stuff(?) pads, poly bushes, Always runs optimax, always warmed up before foot hits…

Yesterday (Saturday 9th April), I took a friend of mine from Stoke to Nottingham to get his car 4 wheel alligned at this place. http://www.alignment-services.co.uk/ Have used them several times before. Only costs £28 + £4 per wheel for any adjustments BTW! Anyway, the owner said that a guy had been in there earlier with a 700BHP Z! Was it anyone from here and if it was, were you winding him up?
