My Zed has been laid up for about 7 months and only turned over a couple of times in that period. I need a new batt but what else should I be checking/replacing before she goes back on the road?. She had an oil/filter change 500 miles before being laid up. Thanks in advance!

Well i'm so pissed off waiting for my garage to fit new front brake disks im going to do it myself tomorrow after work. bought them a few weeks back, they're EBS turbo grooved discs wiyh kevlar pads. As i have absolutely no experience in mechanics a good freind of mine who's fairly handy with cars has volunteerd to help. I'd appreciate some do's and dont's from anyone who's changed their discs themselves on the Z. cheers. :smash:

Me being a lazy fooker can I fit the BOV's with the re-circs still in place as I think I read somewhere someone has done this. Obviously I would need to blank the old ones to make them in-operable just wondered if it was possible. Thanks in advance, Chris

I am returning to the UK from Germany and would like to bring my German spec 1991 TT back with me (even though there are no autobahns to play on! ). Does anyone know what/how technical mods I have to make (lights, speedo etc) and the registration process? Thanks in advance

My Zed has been laid up over for about 7 months and has only been started several times in this period, due to working on the engine. I have now finished the work and kicked her over and left it running for about 30 minutes. Switched her off and then went to kick it over again but no power at all, not even the faintest show of the warning lights on the dash!. Should the battery have charged a little in this time (the car has not actually moved anywhere!). Cheers

Anyone know the correct plugs for my NA 1992 ? Im running a fair bit of mods - so ideally like colder than stock but stock is a good start Currently using iridium TT plugs (for the last 2000 miles) and it may be me, but im sure they dont feel right

Ok, here's one for ya! Had the Zed on a rollin road last week, all stock apart from big twin exhaust. Was told about de-catting, but as usual, thought about questions AFTER I had left the place!!! Stock '91 Jap TT,....how do I de-cat??? can i get to the ceramic bricks with the exhaust on the car? do i have to buy a replacement section of pipework underneath the car? or do i have to buy new down-pipes? not havin access to a ramp/pit really hampers a good head scratchin sesh to work out what is what and see how the thing is set up!! Anyone with anyone pointers? Cheers All Brett

Yay! Finally got around to doing the inner brake / fog light conversion. Used relays on each light so that not only are the brake lights dual-function, but dummy loads (10ohm resistors) are switched in so you don't get the "LIGHTS" warning on the dash :nana2: A well spent evening I think- time for a beer! :duffer: Mark [NB In my text and diagram below I originally made a mistake on the resistance required. I originally said 10 ohm when it should have been 6.8 ohm- bear that in mind when reading the responses!]
