Hi guys (again) A while back I post a message regarding my vibrating Z, so ive finaly come to repair it. Most (if not all) have said its the ever common prop shaft rubber support failing. Therefore, does anyone have one? or the whole prop shaft, secondly, anyone in the Wiltshire/Bristol area got a raised access ramp or similar that I could perhaps borrow/rent. Ive got a small workshop that I use for spray painting, so if anyone wants to do a deal.....let me know. My mate is also starting a company doing airbrushing and visual graffix, so again any favours can be returned. Many Thanks Karl

Hi Guys Havnt used the Z for a few days, but when I did yesterday, I noticed something a bit strange that I dont think has ever happened before. When I started the car, all was fine but was idling at 2000rpm. I thought it was just because it was cold, but 30miles later, whenever I stopped at a junction etc, it was still idling at 2000rpm. I went to a car park, looked under the bonnet, and nothing was glaringly oviouse. Throttle position was fine, water temp sensor connectors all seemed to be fine. So I switched the car off, then back on and it idled normally at 900ish rpm for the rest of the 70mile journey? Any ideas? Is a valve or sensor sticking? I …

My brakes are rubbish, and I mean really bad. Spoke to baggins and possibly one or more of the pistons are siezed open.. I have grooved and drilled disks and decent pads on there already (black diamond) and braided brake hoses (on the front anyway, I just couldnt get the stock hoses off the back!!) Other than taking the calipers off and giving them a full service to sort them out are there any other upgrade options for brakes that will fit under stock wheels? bigger/better calipers etc.... I'd rather not have to buy a set of 17's or bigger just for a brake upgrade... (although it would be nice to have them!!) thanks. dave edit... forgot to me…

I just installed my dumpvalves and there is no sound coming out of em. Could anybody tell me what i may have done wrong.??

APEXI SFAC DOES IT DELIMIT AWELL just wondering if the apexi sfac delimits the z aswell as ive been offered one of these cheap :smw:

Hi Guys, Now a question. I was told that my 300ZX TT Import will be able 110 octane AVGAS is this true. If it was i was thinking in using at a race day, just for that day. Don't want to goose my engine, any ideas??? Could you also mix it with normal 95 Ron to get a lower ron that would be safer for your engine i.e 100Ron?? Paul

Hi ive got my stereo system now fitted and complete, however the control wire for the antenna doesnt work , because of a bad wiring job sometime in the cars history. :mad: I removed plastic panel where the antenna motor sits , and connected the live from my amp to it for a few seconds just to raise it. there are two wires coming directly from the motor and i im thinking if i run a live from the battery and another from the antenna control wire on the back of the head unit to the other cable , it should operate normally? :confused:

I have no lighting on my zed, the brake lights work fine but no others. If i turn on the light switch the high beam come on, thats no matter what position the high beam stalk is in. no rear light, no sidelights. Anybody know if this sounds like a wiring problem or a simple fuse?

:confused: I'm really fed up of my Z going into safety boost mode! It's now always stuck in safety boost & having done a ECU flash code check today i'm getting a dreaded code 34!! Have checked all the wiring to the Det sensor & it's all ok, the only thing I have got is a dead T.P.S Throttle Position Sensor - would the cause my Z to give a code 34 and activate perminent Safty boost??? :headvswal Have tried ECU reset etc but still no joy.. I don't want to bypass the Det Sensor so is my only option to goto the hassle of stripping off the top instakes and install a new Det Sensor?? Can anyone confirm that the 300ZX (JDM TT) brake pads are the same as S14 200SX (the later one with the evil headlights, not the first S14 with R33 headlights, might be called S14a, don't know)?

Im intending to delimit me motor with a delimiter/convertor i bought off ebay. I need to open the speedo display. I have undone th obvious screwws in the display could somebody please tell me how i get the unit out of the dash where the other screwws are ad anything else please guys im fed up of the limiter kincking in and saxos thinking they faster than me..

Can anyone recommend a mechanic in the Essex area that can work on the engine and gearbox of a 300zx? Doesn't have to be a real 'garage', someone operating from home is fine. I live in Chelmsford and have used SE Nissan (or SE NissTek or whatever they call themselves these days) and they were worse than useless. The Nissan garage in Chelmsford (Glyn Hopkin) are very helpful but have politely refused to work on the engine or gearbox, Many thanks Damien.

Ive been looking into this with a load of "vacuum deposition" chroming companies, there are a few that are quite interested ive found but all have said they would need to see one to see how hard it would be to do it and cost accordingly... I know theres a place on here doing it for 100+vat im trying to get the price down on this. One company mentioned about 100 maybe lower if bulk... Question is..has anyone got an old sh*tty one lying about that could be sent to one of these companies for their quote? I have a 92 J reg N/A Jap import, I have had a delimiter fitted and Uk dials which show up to 180 mph I have also had fitted a HKS twin super dragger straight through S/S exhaust system, HKS Super Megaflo Airfilter and Hard pipe induction pipes The top speed is only 140 mph. I need more power i am looking at Nitrous and a chip but i dont know which chips and which Nitrous system and who in Devon installs and how much? Wouldnt mind more power without nitrous if poss. :confused: :confused:

Still looking for an Ignition switch to match the one I have.. The car was broken into and the little sods thought they could start it but all they managed to do was smash the ignition switch. The one I have is Jap, Auto and comes with a number of electrical conections I have the main 5pin spade conector on the back, but also I have two wires coming from a black plastic cover plate half way down the barrel. There is also what look's like another conection on the back end of the key release button but this part is badly damaged. Can anyone please tell me what these wires are and what they do?
