Hey all, just fitted an induction kit to the motor, but i got running problems  round town is fine but on the open road, when i boot it, it dont pull like it used to on the original airbox, and i get loadsa smoke out the rear(brown not blue thank god) I'm presuming the ECU needed resetting, so i dis-connected the battery and gave it 30 mins, then took it out and I've just gto back from a 50 mile drive( miss's in a great mood lol) Is this enough, or do i need to disconnect the ECU aswell as the battery to reset it and put it in 'learn' mode???? really daft question now: am a noob-hence........where is the ECU????? is it under the footboard …

:headvswal My 90 T/T import has developed a problem with the speedo, when it reaches a speed of 70mph it cuts out and won't restart until the car slows down to about 30mph but it doesn't do it all the time and its doing my head in. I changed the speed sensor on the auto box, admittedly for another used one off a scrapper and it made no difference, anyone got an idea.

Thinking of adding a triple pod to the A pillar, so have a few questions: 1. Do I get the A pillar pod to replace the OEM A pillar or do I buy one that goes over the top of existing A pillar 2. Which one is the best fit and where is the best place to get one from. 3. What are the best guages to have, ie, Boost, Oil Pressure, Oil Temp, Water Temp. Bear in mind I have a series 4 TT which do not have boost guage as standard and already has oil pressure guage inside the rev counter. I would like guages with black faces to match inside of car. Don't mind if they have chrome rings around them as I have DTA chrome rings on my existing dials. 4. Where is the best place …

Hi, The other day in a car park I saw a rather nice looking silver Supra with that metalflake laquer sprayed on it. Thought it looked really nice but don't know anything much about it. Anyone had this done and is it a expensive job to do or is it just a case of masking up and blowing a coat of it over the car? Thanks, Justin

The front of the engine has been squeeking alot and I have finally found out what it is. All of the belts are squeeking, they are not slipping as I have adjusted the tension on all of them but now they just squeek as they go round. Is there anything I can do to stop them squeeking? Are there any old tricks I can do? Stuart

Had my cat de-catted today, but Mechanic noticed an exhaust leak (a ticking/tuttering and slight blowing noise) around the Drivers side Turbo exhaust manifold area. He was unable to get to it (no suprises there) to find out the exact cause. There is also a slight oil leak coming from that same area. The noise does'nt get any less as the engine warms up. What are the possible and likely problems and costs..... Cracked Manifold, Turbo Manifold Gasket, Knackered Turbo....or some simple minor fix (yeh right  )...engine out ? Whatever the problem, looks like its going to cost a forture just to find out the reason ! Rya…

Hi, Got up this morning, got out to the car, immediately I noticed the power steering was very heavy. After about 10 minutes the Hicas light came on, but the steering had lightened up a bit. I also noticed that the speedo wasnt working. It started working after half an hour. I stopped for petrol, and on start up the power steering was fine for 2 minutes, then it got heavy again. Any Ideas on where I should start looking? Thanks, :(

Hello. :) For those who are parents and still drive your Zed, what is a good baby seat to get? Are there any that fit into the Zed's backseats? Am just over 8 months pregnant now, so will need to get this in the next couple of months - we have the company car to use as well, so it's not urgent, but we will be driving about in the Zed, so baby will need somewhere to sit. The boot was suggested, but quickly vetoed! :D Does anyone have any recommendations for baby seats? Thanks. :D
