Red heading West on the M3 between the Farnborough and Bracknell junctions, about 9:30am. White heading Sounth on the M6, between 11am and 12:30 and somewhere between the M5 and Manchester junctions- bit vague as I've got a crap memory... Both looked fairly standard, not that I could spot much travelling at a relative speed of about 160mph :mac1: I wasn't in a Zed that day- my girlfriend refused to spend 5 hours in it, and reckoned it would break down. Oh how little faith... :D Mark

Anyway i went to tesco's last night, and picked a trolley and proceeded to shop. Funny thing was the squeek i had in the car had followed me, and the faster i walked the more i heard the squeeking. I took the top off OK (which for me is a major achievement) but when I put it back, I couldn't work out whether the little black clip things on the lid (arrow on the right) should go over the white lugs on the reservoir body (arrow on the left). It isn't easy to twist the lid and I don't want to force it too hard. Have I managed to get the lid on OK or only partially? Thanks - Gio

Oh no blue smoke. When idling there is no smoke at all. When i floor it no smoke also. When crusing say 60mph and i lift of the gas and then press it again i get a ploom of blue smoke. Comes from both exhausts and only does it when doing 40 plus. Also yesterday i turned the engine of without using the turbo timer and then 5 mins later started it and big blue ploom came from both exhausts. Had a decat exhaust put on friday and geoff at zedorld showed me the turbos, no oil or anything nasty there. He put on brand new pcv valves so i wouldnt have thought it was that either. Any ideas guys

Hallo All, my clutch fluid reservoir has emptied itself again (only 2 months since last time grrr). The cap on the reservoir says DOT3 but the Owners Manual says DOT3 or DOT4 Europe only. It's a Japanese import with OEM clutch - so do I buy DOT3 or DOT4? Thanks - Gio

Does anyone know if you can buy these already made i.e with the black stripped off? I tried it on mine and the glue and rubber on the edges makes not for a very nice finish, you end up taking too much off and it looks like you could let water run in where the rubber is cut... Such a waste they take all that tme to put that black rubber over it when it looks better without!

After having the car broken into, smashed the ignition switch, radio panel, boot install and some trim parts....Anyway I found a spare switch, trouble is it has no wires comming out of it. Still I fitted it temporery and it works, but I cant get the shifter into park, even if I use the small overide switch on the shifter. Is this down to the wrong ignition switch or have the sods damaged moor than it looks. Car starts in N and runs just as it should 1,2,D,N and R all OK but no P. Any one help.. Chris..

I have recently replaced my front struts and the top bushes but when running over rougher roads I get like a bump through the steering, car feels ok on flat normal roads only when the going is a bit bumpy, also I have replaced the lower wishbones/tension rod bushes/upper links. I have noticed that even though the 17mm nuts are tight at the top of the struts, I can turn the bush as though maybee the freeplay is in the mount at the top of the strut. Any input appreciated cheers john crisp

My mate's Sierra has a flat battery (been sitting like that for weeks). I'm gonna try and charge it with my 'inteligent' charger. If that doesn't work, is it OK to jump start it from my 300? Should I have my engine on or off when I try? Cheers lads!
