    I was driving along and all of a sudden the speedo needle dropped to zero and the steering got stiff and stayed like it for a while then the HICAS warning light came on. Has anyone else had anything like this. And what does HICAS mean. Cheers :confused:

    My mate has an old Merc (a 190, about 1990, 2 Litre auto) The autobox stopped working today - it won't go above second gear. It was fine before and works ok now but only in 1st and 2nd gears - any ideas what it might be? Cheers lads!

    Well even if I haven't found out why. I now know whats stopping my car from going. The injector in No 2 and No 3 cylinders are jammed wide open even with no power to them at all. They pump about a cup full of juice into the cylinders evey 3 turns. The other for injectors are functioning normally. Anyone know what the fook is going on and why. I've been very lucky so far and not bent anything.

    Howdy folks, Just wondering how much you guys think a full respray would cost (with a colour change from stock silver to a deep metallic grey). Bodywork and panels are all good no dings or dents that would need work....also wondering about the chromework (that's painted black on mine) around the window and around the targa top panels - can this be re-chromed? And does anyone know how much to pay for a good pro job on the paint job and the metalwork? Any experiences with good/bad paint shops? Recommendations? Cheers :)

    Has anyone got a picture or can point me in the right direction of how to pressurise the intake system. I have got a leak somewhere I think which is giving me an irratict tick over & stalling problem. I'v heard there is an easy way of checking this. Any advice would be greatfully received ;)

However, it's one of the only TTs locally - looks like it's had a fortune spent on it. I'm told, and seems to be backed up from what I've read here to avoid early ones if possible, is this too old do you reckon?

    what wires in the lights binacle can i tap my gauges in to? right i know how to pipe in the boost gauge an water temp gauge but how do i pipe in oil pressure gauge? have got 1 of them sandwich thingys fitted from chris getgreddy. what pipinghas to be used as the 1 supplied will prob melt? cheers :confused:

    I got a Greddy Profec E01, and got some problems I don`t got stabile boost from about 5000rpm(power/hp goes "up and down", like rollercoaster after 5000rpm), I have tried with many settings at my BC witout any luck. I got about 400hp to 417hp(at wheels) with 1,2Bar to 1,4Bar with these settings(these is are the best I got): Set:66% (about 1,4Bar) Gain:20-25% (about 1Bar på 3700-3800rpm) Startboost:1,2Bar BUT when I clamp the house that goes to Wastegate`s I got about 460hp(at wheels) at 5000rpm(boost came much faster when I clamp WG hose). Here when I clamped(my settings at Profec wont work then) the hose to WG`s(I dident dare to go over 1,4-1,5Bar and…

    Can anyone help with advice ?? i have a uk 300tt with standard exhaust system & noticed i have a slight blow on drivers side underneath on inspecting the exhaust i found a piece of tubing coming of the downpipe on the drivers side which appears to be the problem as it is slowly falling apart does anyone know what this is?? it appears to be an air pipe??? any help & where can i get areplacement pipe??? cheers fellow zedders

    Anyone know if the ignition switches are different man.-auto. My car is jap auto and the switch has wires fixed to it. Found a replacement but it has no wires at all. I think the wires are for the park locking mechanism but dont know. Thanks Chris..

    Hi All, Does anybody know where you can source First Super-Weapon wheels from? Took my Z back to the dealer the other day and one of the front wheels has a crack all the way through one of the spokes. Fortunately it's a warranty job. Thought it might be possible to weld it but he's spoken to various people and it doesn't seem like it's such a good idea because it could go again at high speed.     hi ,, i got grey blue ish smoke coming out of right bank ,exhaust ,, when car is idleing, and its at operating temp,,ie warmed up fully, also smelling burning oil under bonnet from same side off car,, no oil leaks , ,well none that are dripping onto pavement,, only other thing to add was ryan suspected rear turbo oil seal, when i met him 6 weeks ago at a meet as on the way there car let off big ploom of white smoke on way to meet only did this when came off throttle, but its not done it scince, which is blooming wierd, ,, hopefully going to see ryan very soon, to get more info , just wonderd if any of you guys had some tips, or ideas ??

    bought a set a while ago on ebay, only just got round to trying and fitting em. Well i got as far as getting em out the packet before i realised that they dont match the dials in the car!!! My speedo goes to 180mph, these go to 160. any ideas what they are meant for? jap spec? n/a?

    Hello peeps, any advice on the following matter would be greatly appreciated :dance: I have bought a set of de-cats & down pipe things, got a mech round today to fit them. He's removed the cats no problem but says he can't remove the down pipes without lowering or moving out the gearbox. Is there a special technique to this or is he just not trying hard enough :slap: :p He's not working on a ramp so cant get 'box out enough to finish the job & i'm a bit gutted 'cos i wanted to take it for a hoon tonight :cry: :cry: p.s it's a Twin Turbo if it makes any difference. I'm looking at fitting an electronic Boost Controller very soon and it has been recommended to me to replace the pipes that currently hold the booster jets and move the take off (T-Piece) fairly close to the actuator outlets as opposed to where they are now which is near the hicas system and to be honest the pipes seem miles too long. So can i get to these bits without having to jack the car up??? :smash:

    Morning all... :p Just in the process of tidying up the sills and rear wheel arches on my zed at the moment. As funds and my time are a bit low at the mo, I want to just patch up the sills, so I am in the process of grinding and sanding back, filling and then respraying the areas. One thing I'm having trouble with though is the anti stone chip rippley stuff. For now I just want to redo it where I've ground it back, rather than removing the lot to smooth the sills over. The problem is I'm not sure what stuff to use. I have been told that its just underseal - but I'm not convinced. Has anyone used anything thats done the job reasonablly well?

  23. I have got a rather strange problem with the temperature gauge. It is the std gauge in the dash... When ever you rev the car (say from 2,000-4,000rpm) the temperature gauge drops to almost the cold mark. I do a 50mile journey and it was still doing it at the end. The engine is normal temperature. Any one got a Didgeredo please? :rolleyes:
