    First I have had a consult check done that is revealing no faults from the box TPS etc, the problem is that the box sometimes has a mind of its own, mostly at higher RPM about 70-80 mph. Cruising along it will be at 2500 rpm then it will jump to 4000 rpm as if the overdrive is engaged, then after a while it will change back again, sometimes it will be up and down like a yoyo, then ok for a bit. Ive tried slowing to 50 ish and then booting it doesent seem to help, tried flicking the overdrive in and out ( at the higher Rpm it makes no odds) Some people have suggested a solenoid fault , some an electrical short, some an internal box fault , some a torque converter malfu…

    I have a tweeter either side of the dash but dont want to drill holes into dash to house them so temporarily stuck them on the dash, does anybody know if you can buy pillar pods for boost gauges that fit both sides of the dash that i can house tweeters in or do i have to get something fabricated??

    Hi all, I had a problem with my engine check light flashing, their is nothing worse than driving your pride and joy which you spend all your hard earned money on, then you look at your speedo and notice a orange light with a picture of an engine on it flashing. MY heart sank firstly because of the expence and partly the fact i was doing 70 ish on the motorway miles from home, it flashed for a few mins the went off then flashed again then went a few days without flashing, then flashed again. I booked it in with the Nissan garage and after all the lovelly car mate and how nice it sounds jargon they finally ran a diagnostic check and it came up with no problems.The chap said…

    Hi all, I now have a single HKS super dragger which I really like but since fitting still cant get my head round the look of the rear as the passenger side still has the cut out for the exhaust so looks odd :headvswal. Has anyone filled the gap in as this seems to be the cheapest option or is there a bumper that is made just for one exhaust?? Cheers Ant

    Just tried to do the o2 sensor diagnostic in an effort to solve my longstanding overfuelling, rough running problems and I can't get any result. Am I doing the test right? :confused: 1) Warm engine up 2) Take to 2000rpm 3) Turn screw on ecu same way as when doing ecu diagnostic The led is doing nothing at all - it stays off completely. Now am I doing the test wrong or are my o2 sensors up the spout? If the sensors are indeed up the spout, how much do they cost and are they a diy job? Answers on a postcard please (seriously, any help would be great! :D )

    Just looking at this picture from an ad on ebay for a dash kit........ Am I going mad or is the centre console (handbrake, ash tray etc) the wrong way round ? My J-spec car is opposite to this and yet both are right hand drive :confused: :confused: :confused: Is this a photo-shop effort and will the kit therefore be wrong for a right hand drive car ? Mark

    I cannot get this car going. In fact ever since it came back from Grasshopper it has run like a nail and wouldn't even run above 3,000 rpm. The airflow meter was checked out and it was put down to knackered engine loom. New injector loom, Injectors and ECU chip and it just floods like a drunk on a binge. Check Chip not blown and find spark disappearing. Changed PTU, coilpacks and cleaned all terminals it fired and ran then stopped. Back to no spark and flooding its tits off. Anybody near Warrington got a Z diagnostics like Dannys who can come and see what the fook is going on because this car has taken root at dp. Totally ready to take a sledge hammer…

    Basically we have a UK version of the 2+2 twin turbo. At the moment its failing to start. My friend informs me hes checked over the injection system and the timing ect and all is fine. The engine turns over fine without actually firing. But were sure theres a spark which may sound stupid. You can hear the exaust popping when trying to turn it over but it just wont go. :( Were thinking something electrical is the culprit as oppose to the engine repair work thats been carried out. Now we found the ecu from underneath the passenger footwell. as some how were getting a flash cose which i think = 34 . Which points to the deternation sensor we think. My questi…

    I've noticed that some days my car seems super quick and the guage (standard, so probably not accurate) shows boost at the end of the scale (around 14psi). Other days it seems just average (like before I had boost jets and a JWT chip) and it only boosts to 11-12psi. This can happen on the same day - yesterday in the morning it seemed normal (slow), but on the way home was boosting a lot more! And this morning, got stuck in traffic for ages, when I eventually got to a clear piece of road, floored it and it seemed to take ages to wind the turbos up, and seemed even slower than normal.     All I need to wire in my water temp gauge and my oil pressure gauge. Now, the water temp gauge seems pretty straight forward but I am guessing that I am better off removing the Gauge Temp sender unit from the water pipe and plumbing this into the top rad hoe pipe that has the posssiblility of connecting a sender unit? I think I have heard that you get a better temp readin from here.... In regards to the Oil pressure unit, I havent got a scooby what that goes to? Any aides anyone? Wheresthe best place on a Zed to measure the Oil pressure? TIA :)

  15. On sunday while going over a f***ing speed hump both my head lights flicked off then back on again, last night they both packed up, nothing at all. Is there a fuse for BOTH headlights or are they seperate ?, if one bulb goes, does the other not work either. And can some one please point me to the jap - uk head light upgrade please Cheers guys

    which way up does this fit? i think it goes on with the rubber at the top to form a seal then the rubber on oil filter will seal against that if that makes sense the only thing is if you do it this way the greddy logo is upside down. has any1 got 1 of these fitted? cheers :confused: :confused:

    I've been getting some vibration felt thru the steering wheel and pedals at about 60mph (+/- 5mph) since changing to 17" alloys(2nd hand). Took them to garage to get them balanced and they put them on the Balancing machine. The young lad reckoned that the front drivers side alloy was buckled. He did'nt look like he probbaly knew what he was doing but with the weights removed it was giving a figure of "120". after 5 mins messing around with the weights, he got the figure down to "5" and said he would let it go out like that, but I could find I get vibration. ..and sure enough..Im still getting the vibration :( Can alloys that might be bent be re…

    Idle around 1000rpm, push the throttle will see revs dip down to 750rpm (doesnt do this all the time) does it sound like a boost leak? i've checked about evrything else, the ecu is controlling the idle, with the idle valve yellow connector disconnected the car will idle at 750rpm

  24. Right then...Phase 1 Heater controls..with automatic direction control. Found the setup to be pretty efficient, and that it was pretty good at controlling which vents the heat should come out. However discovered that with the Targa roofs off its a whole different story. It insisted on blowing hot air into the footwell only when I really needed it to blow out the dash vents. So while my feet were warm, anything north of my knees was turning blue :headvswal Is there a trick to this..or can the system defaults be altered somehow...I've read about a aircon diagnostic mode..does this offer any setting controls ? :confused:

    This problem has been going on for a few weeks now when I turn the ignition on I have no ignition lights on the dash ,car starts everything works .Then the battery light glow a little ,just found that the demister does not work as well ? I have checked all the fuses 10 times and today have put the the right amp fuses in .This has only happen when I put a dvd monitor in the dash is there anybody that can shed some light on this .Because this is getting on my tits in a big way :headvswal :headvswal :confused:
