Just thought i'd share my personal opinion. I had a set of Falken Azenis tyres on my car which were i thought were really good and I quickly wore them out drifting round every roundabout i came to. I have replaced them with Toyo Proxes T1-R's which cost me nearly £250 for 2 rears. I went out in the rain a little while ago and tried drifting but the car would not let go. I also tried to launch hard and got no wheelspin at all - and this is in the rain. These tyres are amazing and would definately recommend them. They have given me so much more confidence.

Hello all. Driving around a minute ago i looked down and noticed that the hicas light on the dash was on. Now i know this may be a stupid question but what does this mean because i have never seen this light before as my boost gauge sits directly in front of it and only saw it coz i leant forwards. I have had no probs with the steering and the car handles fine. Advice would be most appreciated. Thanks BensJammin

hi again guys, had a few problems over the last few days wonder if you can help? since i got the car, ive been wondering if it is actually making full power, its as if its holding back a bit, but as ive never driven another one, im not sure. and when i can it, it jerks about under full foot any way, the other day i went out for a drive and it started running rough so i headed home and left. The following morning i started it up and it was running on 5 cylinders. after pushing various shattered connectors nothing changed so i lifted the coil pack connectors to identify the dud cylinder. after pin pointing it and ensuring there was no problem with the ignition i rem…

ok guys i need to replace hoses on me zed there blistered to f....k and splitting gone hard etc,, anyone recomend samco hose ,, i no there cheaper , anyone had these fitted ?? i no smithys are the best but money is tight and so am i,, lol honestly though , spoke to patt yesterday ,, aka splatt.. top bloke bye the way recomended samco hoses he did say some one on here sells them any ideas?? he did tell me but i forgot , head like a civ,, anyway s seen a lot of guys on here with loads of bling under the hood but standard hoses any reason for this as apposed to smithys type???any help appriciated :hyper: cheers!!!

Hi guys, Over the next few months, I will be looking to get another car because the SRI is not doing it for me anymore. Just wanted to know how you guys rate the reliability and running costs or your NA. Hey, Have noticed my oil pressure guage doing crazy things. It seems to rest on about 1 bar then when I press the accelerator, it rises almost like the revs to about 4 bar then no more, when I let off it drops back down again. I have checked the oil level and that is fine. Any ideas? Also, When having filled my tank, when trying to accelerate, the engine stumbles really badly, and a light on the dash comes on like an exhaust overheating, can't find this light in the manual. It burns through a 1/4 tank in about 15 miles then after that normal fuel consumption and running resume. Any ideas on this too? If that isn't enough questions, then does anybody know w…

Hey, Was driving down the M1 the other day and the windscreen trims (bits on the side) decided to come loose! Upon further inspection it would seem that both are warped and the sticky stuff that was underneath doesn't hold any more! I was wondering if anyone had any for sale from breaking. Went to the Nissan garage, they said I would have to source my own! If anyone has any, would be most appreciated if I could buy them! Cheers Jon

I've been looking at your Engine By Numbers, and have noticed that your strut bar is identicle to the one I'm thinking of buying. Is yours any good? And did you get it from the US/eBay? TIA

On the trail of broken things, my fuel gauge is showing a constant 'empty'. Handy when I bought it, as it had a full tank and the guy didn't know. Not so handy when I want to know when to give Gordon Brown more money. Any recommendations before I start taking the dash board apart for broken wires? I've taken the cover off under the spare, all looks OK, nothing been moved or signs of being broken. Thanks.

Hi guys Just considering changing a door rather than the skin, its been bumped into by some old dear, as I'm having a lot of work done while its in, the more I can help the body shop, the better it is for me. So I was thinking of changing the door, anyone taken off and refitted one? I'm looking for pointers to the door hinge pins and loom connections, how difficult are they etc. Cheers Dave

to run a dual pop ?? what exactly do u need , obviously u need 2 air filters and the piupework and an ecu remap but do u need a 2nd dummy afm??? do u need something like an apexi afc ?? i confused , and if you dont need those bits what are they for exactly ?

Hello Lads, A few questions for ya, don't know if anyone can help 1.When I'm starting my auto Zed the power light flashes for a few moments, what does this mean? 2.Recently when its starts its idleing at about 2000rpm, is this connected with the above and how do I solve it? 3.When being driven leisurely its not changing gear untill 4000rpm and then its takes a few moments to kick in. Could it just be the gear box oil needs changing or is the box on the way out? Would very much appreciate any feedback, cheers GLENN

:confused:\ zeds been idling very bad wont rev over 2500 and then cut out.. i have check and cleaned everything in site .i got excited when i finally remove injectors conector all green and coroded .. thought i had it.i made a booboo when replacing connectors i had two backwards. should i worry about messing up injectrs?? anyway put them back on still no go..i replaced coil connectors which were horrid.. im at the point of tears ,,ayway i ordered new plugs a temp sensor and a a new tps from courtesy hope it helps.. havnt run diag on ecu too chicken to mess with it.. any sugestion would be appreciative.... tks...

Hi i am considering buying a 300 zx and would love a swb, i used to work for nissan a few yrs ago so i know a little about the cars but would welcome any advice on purchasing one ie which model is best ,, turbo or non auto or manual etc. also i viewed a k reg swb manual at the weekend that at first glance looked lovely but on closer inspection the sills were badly corroded and had a lot of repair. should this put me off or was this just a poor example. i want the car as a second car for summer fun so i really want a car that will last a few years and not have corrosion issues many thanks :

Come on then, own up, who was it that I saw hooning around on my turf?!? ;) She was red, but had a black nose, and had a rather large high tail :D I gave chase, but she spun around and doubled back on herself giving me the slip. I reciprocated but, alas, she already had a nozzle in her neck when I saw her next :eek: :x: :D (at the garage - Optimax, I presume!) Hi All, I have asked this before, sort of, I have a noise from my TT, sounds similar to a big end just starting to go, its there when you blip the throtle to around 3+K and back. After some thinking/scratching heads etc I stripped the bottom end to check the bearings, and they are all good. Engine is very clean inside too. now I am stuck. ITS NOT lifters, injectors etc. I have a slight bit of piston slap, always have had, and its not that that I am talking about. Any ideas?

Hello, Been thinking today about some previous threads mentioning how mesh on a lot of aftermarket bumpers really restrict the airflow over the ICs and Radiator. I've got a 99 spec front end with quite a fine mesh over ICs and Rad, noticed that on a warm day like today the temperature does tend to creep up when cruising at high speeds (100-110ish) (on my private test track!!) Am I right in saying the effect of the mesh would be worse at higher speeds? Although it wouldnt look as nice and of course I would run the risk of getting damage to the ICs or Rad from debris is it worthwhile for the cooling to remove the mesh? :confused: cheers Dave

Hi Guys im new to this site so hi to all! Ive had my Z tt for about 2 yrs, but for most of this time its been sat on the drive as ive just tinkered with it. It now has full cream leather, front rear and side skirts, 18" Hi Jon Alloys, plus a few little extras. Ive recently started using it and have noticed something rather strange! When you first drive the car (cold) at around 30-65mph there is a bad vibration through the entire car, so bad in fact, the other day I could feel my jaw shaking!, however, the car doesnt rattle? After about 10mins or so and the car has warmed up, the vibration seems to improve, or maybe im just becoming imune to it? …

Yes I know this is meant for ZED's but I really need help as no one so far has been able to help me!!!! And I know that 300zx people are top people when it comes to helping each other out.!!!! I have a supra 94 Model non Turbo, and the bloody clutch has gone, does anyone know where I can get a clutch for the non turbo manual. THANKS HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.....
