Hi guys & gals, Just about to have KYB AGX shocks fitted to my zed along with Eibach springs, adjustable upper link arms, adjustable tension rods and adjustable anti roll bar link ends. What have you found to be the best settings to have the shocks on for general use. cheers bubbles

Hi all, i know there are loadsa links on forums about this but my situation is a bit different. Upon acceleration when the car hesitates if i keep ma foot down it will not accelerate at all but just twitch along and few seconds after make a bang,sounds almost as if radiator cap has blown off, that sorta noise with a bang and a whoosh. And this happens every time i keep ma foot down if it hesitates so i tend not to avoid it, and if i release accel. and put my foot down again it will accel. normally. Sound familiar to anyone?? :confused: BTW its automatic n/a import and ive cleaned the throttle bodies and the few other cables.....

I have a 93 tt auto uk spec and when i pull away sometimes there is a noise like something scraping on tin , the sort of noise you would expect if the backplate was catching your disc , but it,s not that , looked underneath and cannot see anything catching , so no idea at all what it is , it seems to be coming from underneath , g,box or propshaft area , any ideas or has someone had the same problem , would appreciate some help as I don,t know what it is or if its serious cheers Noel

Hi Has anyone on this forum upgraded there camshaft's for higher lift better duration race camshafts?? Which are availabe from Courtesy Nissan or other U.S Origins... I would like to know what improvements/Difference they made ie: Bhp/Torque gained and driveability and Idle quality's ie:smooth/lopy/very lopy? :)

Just changed cam belt,tensioner and water pump and it my eagerness to see if car would start again i forgot to put the bottom hose on radiator for gearbox oil back on, gearbox oil everywere :headvswal Should i just top it up or change the lot? How do you top it up or change it anyway?? Paul.

I need some advice on what size tyre would be best for my new alloys if that's ok guys? :) They're 19's in an 8.5" width fitment for the fronts and 9.5" for the rears. I was thinking of trying out the Goodyear Eagle F1's this time as I've heard good reports (although I have to say I've always had Toyo Proxes on my cars and been very happy with them) but it would also be interesting to hear if anyone would recommend another make? I've recently fitted some new dials to my Zed. The speedo only reads 160mph, therefore I need it recalibrated. I've read about problems with the power steering after guys have converted from KPH to MPH. Any one know if I'll have the same probs??? Anyone know where I could get it done?? Nistec perhaps? Hi, please can anyone help or advise me on this. I have a Volvo S60 2.4T. I parked it last night, locked it and when I went to it today, it turned over but wouldn't start. I got a message in the display unit on the dash saying "Immobiliser- see manual". This just sets out the correct starting procedure. I've tried all 3 keys, I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and retried- no luck. I have disconnected the battery and put it on charge overnight. I also checked the fuses for the coils, injectors, ecu etc, they're ok. Any ideas? (short of burning it!)

Right, it's panic stations this end, but in a good way (I think!)! Basically I've been offered a set of top notch 19" Trafficstar DTM alloys for silly cheap money (relatively speaking!). The downside is they're in a different offset (20 front, 17 rear) and I have to decide before close of business today! HOWEVER...I'm fiting custom wide arches which will require the use of some major spacers anyway (from Luke probably) and I also have one of Harve's camber correction kits to put on. Can anyone tell me definitively if I'll be ok with these alloys with this set-up? Cheers, Leigh.

Where can i get exhaust parts from? Just standard parts will do including rubbers and bolts. Also the exhausts for the short wheel base and the long which part is different? Is there a difference from uk to jap exhausts? Mine is a jap shortwheel base. Im looking for the drivers side pipe were it goes along the bottom from the engine (bend on one end) Thanks for any info. New to 300's.

:confused: finally ordered a new afm and filter yestrday . havnt driven my zed since its been acting up. strange thing i use to get a code 12 on diag , but now im getting a code 55 , but when i start car in the morning it wont rev over 2500 , when left alone for the day and start it when i come from work it starts ok and rev ok.. well im saying all this because im still hoping its the mas thats bad.. any conforting thoughts will be apreciated ... ( ADDED THOUGHTS GLAD YOU FOLKS PUT BACK TONY .. STRANGE THE ONLY ENGLISH LEADERS I REMEMBER IS TONY , MARGARET AND SH..T I FOGOT HIS NAME .,..

I have just bought a 1990 N/A import in the Bristol area. When I first looked at the car it was showing the signs of the prop shaft vibration problem - the dealer has fitted a new prop shaft and the vibration is better....but is still annoying. Do I assume that the gearbox rubber mounts need to be changed also????? Anyone know of any specialists in the bristol area who could help diagnose the problem further? Thanks for any help.

i'm trying to locate the right colour white for my z i've just fitted a new nose panel so i went and bought the paint my colour code is 326 but when i held the sprayed panel to the car it's more of a creamy white than the car, looking around the web i found nissan did 326 super white on the z but the 326 from halfords etc is artic white is there 2 different whites with the same code? thanks for any help in advance kev

as above?....Im loosing my settings on my AVC-R for :- 1)It looses the rpm limit(example 7000rpm) 2)The boost level display(example 1bar or 2bar) 3)The car select (example 2spd or 6cyl) It does not loose the actual boost setting It does not loose the Duty Cycle Only thing I can think of is that it has been wired to a non permanent live feed. The other possibility is that my alarm "TOAD" is interfeering with it and cutting the power like an immobiliser. Any ideas chapes/chapesses? TA
