I am set to introduce a hack that will incorporate into the forum a feedback similar to Ebay, do you think this will bebenificial? remember bad feedback can be left, and as long as the negative feedback is fair it may have to be accepted as left for this system to actually work correctly.

I've been hunting around for some time for anything linux based to hook a PC up to the Z in the same way ConZult / DataScan / ZTalk work, all to no avail :) So, I've bought a DataScan cable, and with some help from Jason Dear (distributor for DataScan) for the protocol specs I've decided to write one myself. I want to put a PC in my car to do nav / music / wifi mapping etc and wanted it to run linux, so I've just about got everything else ready apart from the car interface. I'll be starting work on it within the next 2 months or so and should have something vaguely usable shortly after that - I'll be releasing it under the BSD licence as well (looking at develo…

I know what your thinking, why does he not measure them? Its because the car is in the body shop and I forgot to ask them and I was hoping to buy some other clear side indicators that are not for a 300zx, but I need to be sure they are big enough to cover the holes. If so I am sure I could mod them to fit. Thanks

Anyone know (or any traders volunteer) a good place to get an underdrive pulley from? Going to be replacing mine when I put the engine back. I've heard of problems with belts being the wrong size, etc. It's for a '92 turbo manual. Cheers.

after having the zed only 10 month of having my zed, the last 5 months have taken its toll on me. After putting up with everything from blown pipes and radiators to warped heads and gaskets and blown big end bearings the last straw has reared its ugly head after a gentle drive to guildford i was sitting in traffic, as a big lorry went passed, i saw a small plume of blue smoke. at first i thought othing of it, but after looking down at my oil pressure gauge it was reading exceptionally low for my car. i pulled over to layby only a few hundred yards down the road, stuck my head out of the window and gave the engine 3/4 revs only to about 4.5k after the 2 rev that blue …

Hmm...advice needed her methinks... I bought my Zed a while ago and the previous owner had had a boost upgrade done at SE Nissan. I have just put it into Redline to have an oil leak or 3 fixed and they have the poor old girl in bits. They have noticed that I need new PCV valves. The worry is that the boost upgrade was done while the PCV valves were busted so if I just have them replaced, I could potentially be running with a dangerous amount of boost as we noticed that I have a booost jet valve and my boost was detonating at 4500rpm...into the engine. So..here is the question, feel free to phone a friend or go 50:50... Q. Do I go for a new ECU as I w…

Does anyone know if you can buy the boss that the O2 sensors screw into? Had to resort to mild violence to get out the old sensor and from what I can see I may have damaged it. :smash: Also, what size is the boss? as I will need to invest in the right size socket to remove it. Thanks
