I've just noticed the front wheels are on the wrong sides on the front of my Z but the tyres are right, does it really matter about the wheels being wrong or should I get the tyres swapped asap? Chris.

The car I'm getting has had an aftermarket steering wheel fitted, now it's an early one. Seen a number of cars in member's rides also with after market wheels. Since the early ones have the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel, what happens to the system when you fit an after market wheel? I see that airbag versions do not have these buttons, so is there a mod you do to convert the buttons to run another way? Also, do all TTs come with cruise control? Ta

Will a TT alternater fit a N/A? even though they look different

I know this has been posted about before, and I have looked but could do with some up to date specific advice. I'm considering a big brake conversion and saw an old thread mentioning the brembo F50 kit. Does anyone know where they can be bought and the EXACT models I'd need for the zed. I saw 360mm (I've got 18's),is this ok? Also looking at hispec mega monsters, same question. I don't know much about the dimensions that I need to look for so any help would be appreciated. I have a 91 TT Auto (Import) and am about to start modifying my car as it is currently stock. I am looking at replacing my exhaust (standard one has a hole) and have looked at a company called BlueFlame http://www.blueflameperformance.com/ - Does anyone know what these exhausts are like? Any other recommendations? I am also looking at replacing my Front & Rear Pads & Discs and have a few questions: 1). Any recommendations. Am thinking about Porterfields pads, not sure about the discs (will get Brembo in the future but don't have a fortune to spend this month). 2). Yet again I am in need of your help guys. My car is rusting in the area shown by the yellow circle in the pic below. According to my body shop he thinks the water is getting in from above rather than below. This is where I need help. I have tried chucking buckets of water over the car but cant seem to suss where its coming in from. Any ideas? Thanks all:) Justin

i saw a picture of this from JAE on here http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=53390 what colour of blue is that is it a standard colour by any chance? mine has been resprayed, at one time, (it used to be red) and the colour of yours looks so simelar to mine. im trying to track down the paint code so i can spray my front bumper. its a long shot i know cos it could be any coulour, but that seems so simelar. Just wondering if there are double DIN adaptor facia/base plates available for the Zed. Have seen some people with modded ones who've cut them to fit. Is that an actual unit you can buy to replace the two DIN slots to make them true double DIN? Ta

can anyone put together a few ideas on how to do a nice spray job on my bike gonna have a go with cans to start with as a motorbike only has small panels appreciate the best way is to use spray gun but thats at a later date. I know some basics but if anyone could do me a little list dont I have to put a plastic undercoat paint on bikes to make the paint bite...? had a go the once and got a lovely finish but then a bit of petrol went on it and it flared up how do I stop this? ie: 1. prepare with 1200 wet and dry etc 2. primer to see imperfections 3.. 4.. thanks chris

What's the best oil to use in my 91 TT Auto Cheers

Hi, I'm now 3/4's of the way getting my Zed to 100% mechanically sound. Last thing is the front suspension. Decided to replace just about everything, is there anything else to consider apart from these? I don't have access to a ramp, I just know these are on their last legs from driving it, and i'm a mechanical idiot. shocks; fecked springs; must be fecked camber arms; squeak like an old pram I'm half sorry i'm asking this, but I really want to get the car as close to "NEW" as possible before i do anything else.

I hear peeps asking about if their turbo is in safety mode or sumit, because the boost gauge only goes up to +7. Well my gauge only reads up to +7 it couldn't go any further if it wanted to lol Am missing some power or sumit?? :( please explain PLEASE!!!!!!!

I've got some BMW M3 315mm Brembo disc's and jap spec alloy 4 pots off a TT zed on my S13 200SX. they work amazingly but i'm getting a rubbing/soft grinding noise thats doing my nut in on the drivers side. its not a constant sound, it seems to be based on how quickly the wheels are turning. it doesn't start making any noises untill i've been driving for a while. when it starts making the noise i can let go of the steering wheel and it'll still roll straight. it'll also brake perfectly straight too. i've also jacked it up straight after its made the noise and can turn the wheel freely by hand. whats the strangest thing that confuses me is that when i turn lef…

The indicator on my turbo guage won't go past the +7 mark (safety boost?) and I can't get more than 120mph out of it. Has this been restricted? If so, how do I go about derestricting it? I've only had the car (91 TT) for a week and love it but after being used to a non restricted 200SX was gutted I cant get more than 120 out of the beast. Any help always welcome. :headvswal

:confused: :confused: as above never noticed it before ...its the same sorta noise when you first start car and the abs does its check but its in the passanger footwell and does it when i slow to about 10 mph for approx 3 seconds ??? is it a sign something may be going wrong with my ecu??

did an oil change today all went fine..went for a drive everything was good, then tried to start it a little while later and it wont fire up, all lights come on but it just wont kick in and go, starter motor just keeps going... any ideas? nothings underneath leaked...

My inside blower fan has died - I cannot now demist front screen or have any air blown through the vents. Over last few days it made an occasional rattle like something was loose inside then stopped altogether. After pulling passenger side dash apart and locating the blower I noticed the plug that goes into it has fused onto the plastic shroud of the motor and the wires were slightly blackened and stuck together at the plug. Not good. after cutting back the wire back to the good bits and re-extending the wire (solder with 17a cable) - I fitted 2 spade connectors and when I switch fan or a/c on i get about 8-9 volts whilst blower is unconnected? Hi newbie here, recently bought a 300zx TT jap import, and have just under £1,000 to spend on it and was looking for advice on best way to spend it. its already got 17s, 2 5" ss exhausts, chipped, HKS filters, samco hoses, all belts etc recently done, everything is mechanically sound. i was thinking of dump valves, induction kit, bonnent vents, strut braces etc but unsure what exactly to go for?

I have come across a low cost alternative to saving my Z and would like your advice. I have come across a place in Birmingham who will fit one of their 40-50k TT engines, inc turbos, they have 5-6 engines at present and will charge a flat rate plus bolt on whatever else I need, water pump oil pump and fit timing belts etc plus what ever other parts I want to bring to them, they say they have done around 5-6 Z's in the past. they say if they fit an engine and its not right etc they will refit another of their engines for no extra cost. All I pay is around £1400 in total. Sounds too good to be true but there doing the business. I would like your advice please. What extra…
