Hi all, sorry not been on for a while, (re-mortgage, new bird an so on.....) the Zed has took an almighty beating miliage wise over the last couple of months, and things are starting to feel a little sorry for themselve's in the engine department. It still starts first revolution but has a damn good go at stalling on pull off when warm. Basicly it needs a good service, where in the midlands is best to go or would i be better doing it myself?? Although i dont fancy the timing belt i could do the rest. If i choose to service the motor, who do i use for the parts?? ( plugs, filters, an most importantly OILS. Dont want to start the debate on oils so can i use this magnatech …

Frenchi again :D my question is simple: To boost up their car, many people use electronic boost controller, but will it work with a manual one? If I join both hose from wastegate (like for an electronic boost controller) and instead of the solenoide, I put a manual boost controller ( a tap), will it work or not? Will it be safe (of course I have an aftermarket boost gauge)? Thank you :)

When installing extra gauges (cos the original ones are unreliable) is it possible to have both sets working at the same time or do you have to disconnect the stock ones?

Anyone have any idea how much a new rad goes for? I think mines sprunk yet another leak as I got out of it yesterday and all the coolant fell out. Poured some more in and it was going straight through, could be a pipe but as with everything in this motor you cant see jack unless you take the engine out.

  7. While I remember, a lovely black (or very dark) zed shot past me on the a1 on the Friday evening. I was just on the slip road heading into Chester le Street. Got a nice smile from the lovely lady in the passenger seat :-) Anyone here? wondered if it was someone heading down from up north to JAE. Car had a high level spoiler and '99 spec rear lights. Cheers David

me bros got a 300zx twin turbo. british. not sure of reg. but it started leaking oil over his alternator. so hes stripped the engine down so he could see were it was coming from. took the head over that side of the car of to see if it helped. and thought it was coming form a head bolt. then had the head from that side skimmed. new head gasket, new bolts. put it back together and its still leaking. only do's it when hot. what are his chance's of having a cracked block. hes had the car for about 8 months and drove it for about two weeks from the day he bought it. its had a new rad witch he noticed. but the engine was clean as a whistle. he's climbing up the …

driving home in my 91 TT manual. Not doing anything mad. come to junction, can select gear, clutch goes soft, biting point seems to be really low down. Manage to select 1st and move off, select 2nd. next junction, press clutch when i stop, nothing there, car stalls. manage to start it and get to my mums drive and park it there, cant select any gears, clutch goes straight to floor and back up, nothing there. Rang my mechanic buddy, he seems to think the clutch fluid has gone low. I soooooooooooooooooooooo hope this is the correct diagnosis. Anyone else had similar?? cheers Dai

After M1 junction heading clockwise. White, twin set of single exit exhausts. H*** PVW (I think). I waved at you, and you waved at me, although I probably scared the life out of you by tearing up behind you across two lanes of traffic just to see if it really was a zed. Would have been about 11.15-11.30pm.

...can you buy them from Nissan? Are they the same as any other vehicles in the Nissan range? New car has a set of those bolt on race look pedals and I don't like them at all. Want to remove and fit original new rubbers.

  19. Had the car inspected yesterday and it is really really tidy. Engine is a complete gem, smooth and increadibly fast. Only done 50,000 miles :) Had Gio and Richard Smith to have a good look over for it with me. Found out the car has a mappable ECU (although can't remember which one, Gio will know, not sure what power it's running. Boosts well over 7PSi, not sure what it does boost at, but the needle goes over 7 PSi Anyway, love it to bits, collecting it in about 2 weeks, it's having a new clutch and full service done to it. On test drive, I totally obliterated a GTO. Also comes with expensive 18" Rays split rims. Nice 9" wide at the rear :) one is missi…

I lost a bolt in the radiator the other day so better safe that sorry I thought I will remove rad and empty and retrieve bolt. There is no sign of bolt in the rad, no rattle nothing which means the only place it could have gone is the into the lower rad hose. I have also checked this and there is no sign of the bolt. I can only assume the worst and it has gone into the main engine. However is this possible it would have had to travel about 18 inches vertically up the lower rad hose, would there be sufficient water pressure to do this to a 30mm bolt? If it has got into the engine what is it likely to do? Help!!!
