My neighbour has a Range Rover like above with a gas conversion that wont start, he has had an electrician messing about with it but still no joy. Anyone got any links for help/owners clubs/workshop manuals available online or anyone with similar grief/remedy. A new ignition module has been fitted and the usual plugs etc. Cheers John Crisp

on the rear drivers side i noticed a continual squeak today and some strange noizes. it sounded like no pads and metal touching the disc. i have taken the rear wheel off pulled the pin and rods out and checked the pads, they are fine, loads of wear left. so i cleaned all the crap off, cleaned all the crap off the two rods so they were smooth for the pads to travel on. and just got all the crap of everything. i didnt remove the whole caliper as im not sure on that one!! lol but i wanna know how hard is it to do them? take the caliper totally off clean it all out and re-fit? bearing in mind i know feck all about cars, i wanna learn at least thi…

can anyone direct me to a pic of the 3 screws holding the ECU, I can only find 2, if the other is where I think it is (up behind the glove box) how the hell do i get at it?

Just started my N/A Z for the first time in 2 weeks, started first time but i have noticed a tapping noise coming from inside the engine nothing bad just annoying, and i can hear it over the engine. Does anybody know what it might be and how can it be solved?? Thanks in advance guys.

i have not long bought a 300zx twin turbo jap import with auto box and was wondering what the most reliable way would be to get around 400bhp and any recomendations for upgradeing the brakes

how can i check if i cambelt is about to go?im no mechanic too. the garage said it was ok but i still need to check it myself

opposite grays i stoped did a turn back to catch up with u but u were gone. this was on uxbridge rd. i thank u may have seen my in mine which was blue

Hi folks Mate of mine was in the import car sales game has asked me to sell a couple of cars for him after he gave up his business to pursue other interests. Anyways, since I am new to Zeds, what would you think this should be priced at to get a reasonably swift sale. N reg, imported last year, covered 69000 miles and in vary good, not excellent condition. No mods. No targa. SWB. N/A. MOT Oct 05, no tax - has moved eight miles since last MOT Everything on it works fine. Guy is very genuine. No pics as yet, just trying to gauge a price.

Can someone with standard shocks and springs please measure the height from the floor to the bottom centre of both the front and rear wheel arches please... Already taken mine off to put coilovers on and need a base height to work from Thanks Yas

Can any one give me a bit more info on ECU's and what type do I have, the numbers on it are 36 A18-A33 MAZ 0726 Also is there a correct setting for normal running that the adjustment screw should be.. fully anti clock or full clock! please advise Hope u can help? Z1 Motorsports Stage 1 Z32 TT Head package includes Heads dissasembled, vatted, pressure tested. Multi angle valve job, valves replaced if necessary New valve-stem seals, springs set, stem height checked Exahaust valve guides replaced with bronze guides Intake guides replaced if neccessary Resurfaced within Nissan specifiactions Chemically cleaned hydraulic lifters Camshaft journals polished i take it this is reconditioning for the heads? would this be suitable on a pretty stock engine? want my heads looked at when they come off before they go back, who could do this sort of thing over here?

Got front wheel bearing to do shortly, anyone tell me roughly how long this should take please ? oh and owt else worth doing whilst greasy mits are working down there. cheers smithy

Hi, Just Spoke to Bob at safe and sound, he has given me a price on fitting my Alarm. To make it worth while for Bob to come down to me from Chester he has asked me if anyone else needs an Alarm fitted near to to me. Please let me know so I can arange a date with Bob, if not Bob siad he will pop down, all I need to do is pay £40.00 for is fuel which is fair enough.

most of you may agree the original nissan jacking points are the most useless jacking points ever.. the Official Jack just scratches the surrounding paint and walla 2 months later a bit of rust appears... obviously want this perfected as I dont want rust on the car at all especially as it has none elsewhere! any help appreciated as Ive never treated rust before... its not mega bad at the moment but we know how that soon changes thanks chris

Im currently out the uk but should be arriving back in blighty in september :dance: :dance: , and previously owned a modded 200sx s14, i modded it but really want a 300zx when i get back. Ive seen all the great advice in the FAQ here, and read some of the threads, and they all have some great advice. Just wondering if ive missed something regarding SWB / LWB models, ? are there any differences appart from the obvious? Also could anyone explain the differences in all the models for me so i have an idea what i should be looking for.. Many thanks all andy

Hi I need to know what alarm system to purchase, need a cat 1. I have always had Clifford systems on my past cars. My 300zx has a turbo timer with it so I would like the alarm to work with, I hear that toad have some kind of black box thing that works with turbo timers. ok then anyone know the difference bettwen an auto tt zed engine and a manual tt engine?? i think the cams are diffrent but that is it im sure?? i am fitting a tt manual import engine im my uk auto tt zed with the auto turbos will i see a diffrence in performance?? cheers

hi all as you know ive been waiting for the wynns engineer to look at my engine as the bearings went straight after i added the wynns stop smoke stuff, well he came today and said that the failure was due to contaminants in the engine not due to the wynns stuff typical get out clause!!! well there is nothing i can do now is there if that is his report they wont pay for a new engine for me :mad:

Hey folks, Just fitting a new DAB head unit and have got a aerial that says it wants mounting on the inside of the the passenger side windscreen. Soooooo, a coupla questions... 1) Any ideas how I route the wires up and around to the top of the windscreen? 2) Could I mount it anywhere else (preferably out of sight) and still get a good reception?
