ok then anyone know the difference bettwen an auto tt zed engine and a manual tt engine?? i think the cams are diffrent but that is it im sure?? i am fitting a tt manual import engine im my uk auto tt zed with the auto turbos will i see a diffrence in performance?? cheers

hi all as you know ive been waiting for the wynns engineer to look at my engine as the bearings went straight after i added the wynns stop smoke stuff, well he came today and said that the failure was due to contaminants in the engine not due to the wynns stuff typical get out clause!!! well there is nothing i can do now is there if that is his report they wont pay for a new engine for me :mad:

Hey folks, Just fitting a new DAB head unit and have got a aerial that says it wants mounting on the inside of the the passenger side windscreen. Soooooo, a coupla questions... 1) Any ideas how I route the wires up and around to the top of the windscreen? 2) Could I mount it anywhere else (preferably out of sight) and still get a good reception? help me please! im out in the garage. started checking for boost leaks, then found a pile of wires that have all been strip and twisted together, its a total mess i cant work out what they all do theres no logic to it. ive found a connector for what must have been a side light/ indicator combi light. what are the wire colours? the problem is that the bodykit doesnt use standard lights and its all been shoved in and twisted (wasnt me). i realise there are redundant connectors, but i cant find a good diagram. any one?

For when I get to upgrading the ecu does anyone know who might be a good person to talk to as I think I would prefer it if someone was able to re-program the car individually rather than just buy an off the shelf chip and out of interest am I right in thinking that there is some device somewhare where you could set different settings eg sport and normal road use and flick a switch to move between the two? If anyone can explain more about this to me or point me to someone who knows then that would be good....

problem number 3!!! did my matrix bypass the other day and all has been well... until today.. went out for a quick drive got back and there was water pissing out under the car, no-where near the radiator but back under the matrix hoses.. i thought it was the bypass so tightened the clips.. nope still hissing like mad.. turend out after speaking to ryan its the turbo hose. so went to my mates garage moved a few bits i got the damn hose off, big ass hole in it.. then i had to find some hose to replace it, got that on and put new jubilee clips on which were shit, then got new ones and they were the bolt nut clips. much better and quicker to fit. all is we…

Hi guys was at the rolling road at the weekend and came up 289bhp at the weels so they tell me thats about 340bhp at the flywheel :dance: . Looking to up rate the intercollers next and saw lovely front mounted on torque develpments but its seriously annoying to fit due to bumper needing adjusted etc. Was looking to see if anyone was selling or knows where I can pic up replacement uprated intercoolers at a reasonable price. Has anyone done them etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Cheers

What sort of mileage are 300zx twin turbos good for? I was looking at a H reg 1990 but its done 180,000 miles. Full service history.

just taken insurance out with carol nash told them at the time was a 1992 n/a import but after four days they phoned me and told me they cannot insure imports so have just got a great deal with liverpool victoria :tongue:

This is my first post to the forum. Please excuse my lack of technical knowledge (and my English). Problem: I have a tt with the following mods: hks evc5 boost controller, Blitz Sonic induction kit, Nisstech reprogrammed ecu, Nisstech De-cat 3.5 inches exhaust system. A few days ago I changed the Nisstech back boxes and put Cobra instead (possibly allowing greater gas flow). However, since then I can hear a weird noise that sounds very much like detonation. It is really difficult to understand if it comes from the engine bay or from the back boxes (due to the loud exhaust). Is it possible that it can detonate just because of changing the back boxes? As above! I'm in a quandary (don't get to use that word too often!) now that Luke can't get the urethane scarab front bumpers! Do I go for the improved looks (imo!) of the scarab in fibreglass or the better durability of a Stillen gtz-r?? Hmmm... what do I do? I want to lower my car up to 35mm - how do those with the scarab get on with stone chips - grounding out etc.? Is the fibreglass bumper easy enough to reposition once you've taken it off, and is it very expensive to fit (as I understand they require a bit of work)?? Can anyone recommend a decent low cost (hmm... I'll be wanting the best of both worlds, then!) trolley jack that can squeeze itself under a zed which has been lowered by up to 35mm?

Removed my stereo to plug in the aerial and the std nissan aerial has a weird 2 pin plug on it - not a standard aerial connector? Is there an adaptor for this or do I need to run a new aerial extension cable to rear of car? Cheers

Guys noticing a few things with my new TT, when i go over a bump or pot hole the backend turns to jelly, it's not nice any ideas what it could be ? Andy :)

Can anyone give me a short dummys guide to removing the aerial - I cant even work out how to get the outside fascia off? Is it a black plastic shroud that sits over a screw thread? I cant work it out - cheers :)

Hello all... :tongue: Im not after this set but he mentions that his goodridge ones purchased had different ends on to the ones on his Zed (doesnt mention whether its a Z32 or Z31) :- Braided Brake Lines Does that mean UK or IMPORT will have different fittings? If so which has what and does anyone know the technical specifications/sizes of them for an IMPORT ? ThankYou and Good Morning :)
