gotta do a bypass today. are these the right pipes? back of the engine, under the cable, two metal pipes come up the turn at a 90 angle, they have the rubber pipes attatched. i just make a u pipe and connect these together?

Hi all, Had one of the above installed yesterday by Jeff. I've pulled off the manual at the 'geocities' site and although it explains things quite well I still cant quite get my head around what settings to start off with. What settings have any of you guys put in? I know I need to play with it to get the best out of it but what would be the 'safe' limits to start off with? Cheers, Dave.

Does any one have a link showing where the ECU connctions actually go to. I have the diagram with the pin numbers and colour codes, but it does not tell you where each wire actually goes. I need to check continuity in the wiring loom.

Hi Guys My first post here was asking for help with a vibration problem, I've had a search for any posts where people have had the same thing but cant find anything, some similar things, but none that could lead me to solve it, the problem is still there so any help most appreciated. I had a duff bush on the passenger side tension rod, I replaced this with a second hand one, thanks to Dave C. Ive had all the wheels balanced, 2 new tyres on the front, the old ones seem to be rubbing when on full lock. I had a full alignment done, camber is out on the front. After months of scouring ebay and traveling the country only to be shafted by dodgy dealers I managed to buy a 300 zx TT today, and on my doorstep too! If you guys don't mind I'll be looking for some help over the next few months as the engine bay in this beast fills me with dread! Love it all the same though! :hyper:

Hi Every one, this is my first time on this site, but I believe you can help me? I have just bought a Black Twin Turbo manual, the only real problem is...it hesitates as you put ur foot down, but if you ease off the accelerator slightly she pulls away!!! but this does not give you much confident's when over taking!!! can any one advise? I have changed, air filter, ECU, PTU, and Throttle body senser with no difference! running on high octane fuel as it's an import, the only thing I haven't done is changed the spark plugs, although she ticks over and runs very smoothly! the ecu that's fitted is a no 36 A18-A33 MAZ does anyone know what this means? Hi new to the site, went to see an imported 91 zed advertised in the trader today, £3595 with 70,000km on the clock interior was brown and bodywork not good, still nearly let the looks of the car get the better of me was gona buy untill a little voice in my ear (gf) made me back down think this was wise! will i find a zed (manual) for under £4k with low miles absolutely love the car!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper:

take the car out for a drive after leaving it in the drive for 4 days. white smoke out the back, gone in 2 mins of driving.. condesation in exhaust.. ok i say.. then... grrrrrr!! strange smell coming from car dash vents.... then i notice the screen steaming up, manage to drive home.. and then all i can hear is a sizzling noize. ring ryan.. at this late hour!! sorry ryan. he explains to me that the damn heater matrix has gone, and not to panic (cos im goin nuts now) as its usual. so now tomorrow i gotta disconnect the pipes at the back and put a loop of pipe on them and then refill the coolant. so while on phone ichecked a few other things …

Hi all, I'm new here and I've got some questions! Driving home today in the pouring rain, I noticed a 300zx for sale at a garage just down the road from me. It's a targa in a deep metallic burgundy colour, on a j plate. From what I saw, the bodywork was very tidy and I know from experience that this particular garage usually only offers cars of a high standard. Now, the questions! Do the targas have turbos? The car is up for £3500 iirc, is this a fair price to ask? I was originally looking at getting a 200sx but this car caught my eye today and I've already got a pretty good insurance quote, so I'm seriously considering this car.

Can anyone tell me what should happen if the maf is disconnected while running. Does the car stall? My connector came adrift and the car conked. I was under the impression the car should have still run, but not over 2500 RPM

Hi, car failed MOT today because we couldn't adjust the headlight beams, can u beleave that!!! Have taken both headlights out ( now that a job and a half) and have ordered new cogs as the the ones in the adjusters have cracked, those of you who have been there before know what I'm talking about, but how do I free the cog thats in the unit it self, as its very stiff, :headvswal Help and advise greatly apprecited Cheers Tony :bow:

I'm Asking this on behalf of my mate (honest :headvswal ) who has just taken delivery of a anew 1990 TT import. Battery was flat/dead, after the trip so he put in his battery from his sx, but failed to notice the terminals are the opposite way. So, he connected + ive to the - ive and so on. Now car is dead, only main beam works. I assume (hope) that he's just blowna fuse or something, Any suggestions what ? ? ? ?

well folks took 300 out for spin and the noise is still there, so im sure its the tensioner, how big a job is it to replace , and does anyone know why its suddenly gone while the car hasnt been used :headvswal

Hey there guys :) Ok, if any of your read my post a few months back, i wanted to get a PS2 installed wid a screen. I'm looking at buying the Alpine screen today the 710 one which is going for 250 pounds. I plan to get this fixed above my Alpine headunit where the fan vents are. Thus cutting away those vents. I plan to get this done by a car audio place. This needing to be customized anyone got any ideas on how much it cud cost? Worse comes to worse i'll jus velcro it onto the fan vents until i raise the cash. I'm gona chuck my PS2 in the boot and buy the wireless controllers. Any1 know of any good mulitplayer games for it at the moment? I'm thinking of getting Tekken 5,…

hi peeps not been on for a while , due to someone reversing into my 300 in a car park about 3 months ago, since then its been parked up in garage getting the front end rebuilt, now when ive come to start it the cam chain is rattling, like the tensioner is stuck , but when i parked it up it was quiet , anyone out there any ideas as to why its noisey now, and any solutions that dont involve removing the front of engine and rad, :headvswal

Just drove back from the shops on the dual carridgeway, put my foot to the floor and the acceleration seemed wavy. i.e its wasnt smooth but slightly fluctuated, could see the rev counter jump up a little every sec rather than a smooth movement and you could hear the sounds of the exhaust slightly dipping in sound every sec too. Im thinking its due to boost controller and boost leak, so the boost pressure drops slightly but the controller keeps topping it up? Any idea's?
