bit of a strange 1 this... on the standard exhaust systems there is a small pipe which joins the 2 seperate pipes together... i believe this is called a "balancer pipe" i recentley saw on american hotrod, a system being built for a V8 hotrod. they mentioned putting in the said balancer pipe but never explained why or what purpose it serves. any help with this is greatly recieved. cheers, chris...

Noticed last night that my fuel gauge has stopped moving (its stuck just below 1/2 full). Anyone has this problem before and what was the solution? Cheers, Gareth

right.. bit of a bugger. i just replaced the wiper relay with one from andy, and my intermittent wiper still sticks in various places when running. yet in full or medium sweep its fine doesnt stick or stop. i have checked the cnxns and cleaned them out with isopropynol and checked the switch, but no joy.. any ideas.. im thinking the wiper motor? its wierd but sometimes it will sweep fine then it starts sticking. so im thinking motor.. open to advise!! :smash:

can anyone tell me how easy is it to fit 6x9's in the front door of a z? and is there much cutting etc needed mine is uk spec if it makes any difference i also noticed when i stripped out the back end that the original clarion amp is in there does anyone know what wattage output it is and does it do 2 or 4 speakers? cheers kev

Silver ZED large rear spoiler . On London road Bedford yesterday?

I'm about to receive jdm front clip TT :hyper: were i live the driver side is left and it's legal to switch to the right so guess what. :D I know u can do that with some cars cause there is only 1 frame for both driver side. So i'd like to know if the Zed is build that way. (O yeah, a won't cut my Z in half and weld the front jdm with my american back hehe) Is there any thing i should know about before removing the dashboard Any information would be appreciated. :) Sorry for my english, i'm a french canadian.

I'm assuming as my warning light came on there is a problem with the fluid level as the assembly is only about 9 months old. However the light goes off if I turn the car off, restart and continue without problems. Anyway, what fluid do I need and who do I get it from?

know of a zed for sale with broken engine( timing belt snapped) supposedly at low speed could anyone give pointer to what possible damage may of occurred to see if its worth buying cheers :rolleyes:

Hi all , just tried to set my tps again , when i set it 0.45 v the revs are up to 2500rpm so to get the rpm down to 900-1000 rpm i hav to set it fully clockwise to about 3v any ideas please

i have got a k&n filter on the front but i think its time for clean, however this is branded MS k&n i presume its a japanese k&n. can i cleant it with the recharger i have got today? till i get my apexi from who ever gets them in first!!! lol

Silver Zed parked up in Castlemaine Ave. Gillingham, walked past it bout 20 minutes ago, has 300ZX.co.uk stickers in the rear windows.

anyone know what would cause this? Noticed tonight oil pressure a little low - topped it up but when car is ticking over it sounds like someone is hitting engine with a hammer. If you look in the oil fill hole and watch the cam go round it seems to be at same speed as that. I have tried putting more oil in but it hasnt quietened down.

Just wondering how much BHP can a stock Zed take as far as pistons and gaskets etc are concerned? ie how much boost!! Just for future preference :D !! Cheers!!

Hello, I just wanteed to know where is the difference between the 2 seat and the 2+2 seat concerning the exhaust system? Are the down pipe and turbo outlet the same? Is the X pipe different? Thank you

Hi folks, Has any one got a picture of the back of the engine showing the water hoses (between the bulkead and engine)? can these be replaced if i take off the plenum?or do i have to lift the g/box or engine out? i cant see where the water is coming from but im sure its the hose over the top of the EGR valve. ive replaced 2 of these hoses already and i want too see where the rest of the buggers are.
