Just got a puncture in my 3000 mile old Goodyear F1s. It's near the centre of the tyre, a very sharp shard of metal has gone through. Easy fix for a tyre place? Hope so, don't fancy 100 squid outlay for a new one.

Any one know where I can see a diagram for the folding mirrors for a jap spec. I dont think any other market does the folding bit. Want to convert my UK to these. Mark

well got bored again today so i thought i would start doing something about the rest of the trim on the car. 1st tools of the trade, isopropyl alcohol(no you cant drink it) make sure its the non mineral type. 1 can of satin finish plasti-kote black paint. ok first i cleaned the trim down with the isopropyl, i did this several times to make sure all the crap was off, this took a little time. then i gently roughed the surface then cleaned with isopropyl again. then one powdered layer of paint, just to get a grip coat, waited for that to dry then gave it a base coat then another after 15 mins. after 3 coats they look new!!

After driving, car is up to temp then park up for an hour or so with engine off, start engine again and the boost controller (Profec b spec 2) indicates 13psi and the overboost alarm is sounding and car is not even moving. Rev engine a few times or drive away and the boost display returns to normal. Also the "LO" and "HI" somtimes flash. Any ideas?

any thoughts on what to check for this, as it wont work? :confused: on/off button on the console works but it just wont engage when you try to press the steering wheel control. any help appreciated guys! gaz

Has any person got some ideas on the best method to change the streeing wheel on the Zed to NICE NEW MOMO, but using a snap off kit and if poss can it be done retaining the Cruise+Hicas. If not , is there another way to sort this out. Thanks, Marcus :hyper:

How do these operate, there does not seem to be a switch for them. Do they operate when you use the screen wash? I've never seen them work and was considering removing them.

I've got trusty old manual seats but I've considered getting electric ones. Does anyone know if the wiring loom exists for them in a car without them or has anyone else done the same?

Had a near heart attack yesterday. I was stuck in start stop traffic for 30mins and the car in front stopped just as I was looking around (my fault I know!). I threw the anchor out the window but still made contact with his tow bar. AHHHAHHH NNNNOOOO!!!! Despite the sickening sound there was hardly any damage as the 99spec front flexibility took the impact. Just a small patch of cracked paint which hopefully will be a cheap sort out. Anyway my indicators stopped working of all things. Not the bulbs as the warning lights still flashed, my main beam still goes on and so does my main flash . 1hr later they worked again!!. Now the next day they've stopped again. Presuma…

:headvswal :headvswal Just got the zed back from the bodyshop, booked in to have it on show at Fast and Modified tomorrow and the ****er wont run now! I have to admit, i pretty fooked off. Anyhoos... Just started the car with no probs and after a few seconds the idle was bouncing from 1200 to 900. I try to rev the car and it keeps missing, then the revs are dropping right down to near zero. Anybody got any ideas what the fook is going on? I really need to get this sorted asap. Cheers Scott

Hi everyone, if there is anyone out there that has an NA with an aftermarker temperature guage fitted can you tell me what temperature you car runs at, mine goes to 150 fahrenheit which is about 65 celsius and I thought it should be a little more than that so just wanted to check with you guys, cheers, Richard.

is the electric aerial in the uk tt a std one I could go and buy from Halfrauds? Mines failed and Im wondering whether to replace with an electric aerial or get a window mounted jobbie? Anyone tried different aerials - experiences? Cheers

Ok this is a new one on me. Mostly the PS works without any probs and car drives fine, Speedo works, It sometimes just stops working while driving making the steering a bit interesting. Any idea's ??? . Fluid level is fine and the belts tight. Car was layed up for 2 years. Craig

1 of my import zeds is causing me some major headaches recently. no matter what i do she ends up spewing all the water out of the overflow. already replaced rad cap(genuine nissan) tried new thermostat and water pump. still no change... :headvswal ... i currrentley have the thermostat removed n it still doing it... any suggestions would be welcomed as i'm just about at the end of my tether with it now. :confused: ...

Rite guys!! Zed was runnin fine, went up to my mates house to stick a coat poolish on her, after which i thought id go for a drive as u do :D !! But to my suprise she failed to start she turned over strongly but wouldnt catch so i give the PTU a wiggle and it started on my second atempt not sure weather this was a fluke or is it the early stages of my PTU on its way to a better place! Any ideas would be appreciated :hyper: !!!

Is there a chassis number stamped in the car if so where?

just took the wheels off my car to give them a clean front and rear and clean under the arches etc... and noticed that on all my shock absorbers the rubber gators have all split and come away, and the arm is fully exposed, they dont look too hot either.. im buying a set of rears from luke zcenter and i will try and get the fronts from nissan newport. while im doing these is there anything i should think about checking? other bushes etc..? im open to suggestions and advice.

Anyone have a gearbox ECU i can try in mine to rule out the autobox problem please? 2 gearboxes and both have the same fault, 1st and 2nd only. Cheers, Mathew
