i am looking for twin turbo 1991 onwards any suggestions for places to source one in the south/ south east

i am a zed virgin trying to buy my first 300 zx could someone tell me if all 300's are all fairlady if not what is the difference

just pulled the head of the girfriends corsa after suspected head gasket failure was lookin at the valves.on two of pots they are white on the other 2 they are pink in colour is this caused by the head gasket failure (has been going for ages) or is this caused by something else that mabye led to the gasket goin in the first place?

two zeds spotted today.. one was a black zed with a spoiler on came past me i was in the texaco garage by the coldra roundabout the first reg letters were-sil i think the other was a nice white zed, private plates.. d4f ev left you a note on your screen under wiper.. was gonna hang on but i had to buy wife a new car today from the peugot garage on the estate.

Has anyone done of these? and can tell me how to take the light unit apart? :confused:

Does anyone have the parts manual for the 300ZX?. I need to buy a sensor but Courtesy parts website and my local Nissan dealer have given me different numbers. The sensor is the temperature gauge sensor (the one next to the yellow ecu temperature sensor on the front water pipe). Courtesy list it as being 25080-TPGSR but my local dealer have given me a part number of 22630-51E00. Who is right :confused: Anyone???

Can Any 1 help, My turbo seems to have failed with no warning ,I just notced a lack of accelaration and that the turbo readinge will not go above -1 on the gauge . Can any one advise Also what damage will I cause by driving her if the turbo has failed? and how much is the repair going to cost this time? will i have re-mortage the house again to keep her on the road? Hi there I'm a bit new to this forum so bear with me. I've had my TT a few months and its been fine. The other day it developed some kind leak from the driver side of the radiator and the temp gauge immediately start to rise. I stopped and turned the engine off, had a look under bonnet but couldnt see exactly where it was coming from - there isnt much elbow room under there. I let it cool down for a bit and then managed to get it home with a couple more stops on the way. Can anyone recommend a ZX mechanic in the NW london area? I could try taking it to some local garage but I thought it would be best to find a specialist. Cheers Griff

..happened this morning, odometer isn,t clocking the miles either. Everything else on the dash works ok, and the power steering felt heavy for a few seconds. Am I looking at dirty connection / faulty speed sensor? - or am I looking a faulty speed converter? - it's a jap 1990 NA. ...any advice will, as always be greatfully received. many thanks Jack

As above... Looking at doing some track days this year but was wondering how/where i can get me exhaust sytem checked for noise level as certain tracks have noise restriction levels :xxx: :xxx: :xxx: obviously i dont wanna turn up for a trackday only to be turned away again :rolleyes:

topped up the engine with water and took it for a blast last night (about 8pm nice and cool outside, not hot), hasnt been driven for almost 2 months. got a problem, symptoms: my speedo isnt working, neither is the trip counter or odometer. my power steering stops working after about 2 minutes, but if i restart the car it comes back only to stop working again. Hicas light comes on after 5-10 minutes. performance was variable too, sometimes it would accelerate as normal, sometimes a little sluggish, sometimes it wouldnt kick down, i think it might also have been jumping in and out of safety boost cos there was a very noticeable difference when foot to the floor. …

turned the car on last night and the power light flashed 16 times, turned it on and off a few times and the same thing. what does it mean?

Went to the mids meet yesterday and on the way there the top rad hose must have developed a leak. Engine had not overheated and seemed to be running absolutly fine. Topped up the water and drove the hour home stopping onve to check the water levels and had to add a very small ammount. Got home replaced the problem pipe and took for a test dive to test for leaks. None..................great. Took the car out for a spin last night and after a few minutes there was a bang (like fuel ingniting in the exhaust and then the engine went lumpy, as not firing on all cylinders. Any ideas?

anyone know are the afm's and temp sensors on a n/a the same as a tt?? before i start taking the wifes to bits tomorrow lol

Anyone know where i can get the two gaskets from the valve block asap? need the car up and running by friday and need the gaskets for the box ready to drop in the car inplace of my old box.

Does anybody use octane booster. Was thinking about getting some for the track day at castle combe on the 15th aug. Wondered if it was worthwhile, figured it would be good if I was pushing the car hard. But does it matter that the car is not normally running on that octane level (mapping,etc)? Dave

advice needed,i have had my uk 300 zx for over 5 years its great no real bad problems during the time ive had it,its a great car,to drive and look at.. it only comes out to play on nice days so it doesnt get used,anyway ill get to the point.. i have been considering a change of toy..a TVR.. does anyone have any experience of them.possibly the griffith 500. or tvr s in general... my 300 is a joy.but you know how it is you always look for more, advice wanted :(

One of the guys at today's meet, has decatted his car a few weeks ago, all has been fine untill today. He checked the oil level on wednesday, and it was half way between the 2 marks, and no oil was added then. He drove must be 50 miles to the meet today, no problem, then we ragged the cars for a good 20 miles, again all was fine. Stopped for some food, and when we went to leave, the rifht (drivers) bank was smoking quite a lot, it smoked for a while, we topped the oil up, approx 1-11/2ltr, and again started it, smoke was visable for a while, and disappeared after a minutes driving. we stopped again after a few mins, and had a drink, and since then, the ca…

What brake pads do people recommend? I've been looking at EBC or Portersfield.
