Hi I'm a new member and I've had my zed for 2 months now and wondered if anyone could help me please? After many years I finally decided to go for the 300zx. Previously had a 260 and 280zx. Decided not to buy from ebay as read all the stories of not getting the car home etc so found one with a fairly local trader, just imported and non turbo. Went for the test drive and fell in love. Had to wait for 2 weeks for registration, mot, service and cam belt change and got 6 months warranty - great I thought! After getting home late on the sat, went out early next day for a good cruise and pose and managed to get 100 yds down the road! AA came out, cam belt tensioner st…

I own a 1991 Jap import tt. Ive not had it long so dont know a great deal about the car. I am aware however about the hicas 4 wheel steering system. My rear wheels are fixed and do not turn. (except to roll before the sarc). I have checked fuse this is ok. On the solenoid next to the hicas resevoir I noticed a plug had been disconnected and ty wrapped out of the way. Thinking this was a quick fix I promptly reconnected and monitored rear wheels as i turned the steering wheel. They still do not turn!!! Res level seems good. Any suggestions???

Noticed when I started up this morning boost gauge only went halfway, where it normally would go all the way to the right when I start Up. I'm hoping It's just warm weather. Reason I'm asking is because someone told me when I was buying this tt that It should Always go to the right when it's cold. Is it possible turbo's are on the way out? I don't feel any difference while driving, and no smoking either.

hi Just brought off Greddy, Profec B spec 2 boost controller. Downloaded instructions on how to fit. Would anyone have the pictures as they seem to have been deleted? Plus purchased the following electric gauges, oil temp, pressure & water temp. The 300zx dash already has water temp & oil pressure, i know electric gauges are more accurate. Is it possible to have both the new gauges & dash gauges working? Seem a waste to have the dash gauges not registering?

Here is the ideal way to upgrade your NA Z to TT status. http://etiwebhosting.com/~caroptioncom/product.php?pid=2549&xcSID=d8db8d347e5b86a829086cb284f5496c Do'nt waste money on the real thing! On a serious note this company is good and they sell some quality kit. I bought a back box for my Honda from them, its on page 2 under mufflers. Item MU-RS380T. These would suit a Z with one on each side. With the exchange rate they are great value.

  12. As you look at your targa top in the middle between the two tops their is the T bar, at the front and back of it are rubber segments. Mine have worn a bit but no leeks as i think they are more their for looks rather than to stop leeks. I am not looking for the rubber seals around the targa top or anything as i know luke at the Z centre sells the kits. Cheers people. ;)

I think my brake pads have gone. I have uprated discs and have been using portafield track pads (steel braided). Although they squeak at low speed they certainly stop the car. Anyway, should i contine using these pads or is there something better. p.s. where can i buy castrol 10-60 oil as halfords or petrol stations dont sell it. cheers

... but when it's functional (and blue) then it has to be done ! Difference with this strut brace with integrated master cylinder brace is that it actually fits - first time, no messing, no fouling the bonnet. I also now have about 5 different shades of blue under the bonnet .. :D LOL

  23. Evening all. Just signed up. Looking to purchase my very first Z. Been hankering for one for a while. Selling my current car to make way for one. Well, I'm sure 1.4 million similar threads of this nature have been posted before. But though I'd not bump old threads with my questions, so I started afresh. Looking primarily to buy a Fairlady rather than a UK spec Z which seem to be few and far between, especially with low mileage. SWB model would be my choice, but those fetch above my budget really and are also seldom available. Choice now is a manual version, in preferably Silver, Red or pearl white. Now I don't know much about them unfortunately, I…

  24. Started by Bubuche,

All, I saw on the net that stock is 15° We can increase horse power by increasing it up to 19° max. That what I've read on the How to section!!! My problem is that my car is running 25°. I have an ECU upgrade (coming from ebay TechXL is you know him) and I have boost jet. I should run 0.9 bar (13.5 psi) pressure but I've install a quick pressure gauge this afternoon and I have only 0.7 bar (10.5 psi). Is there a relation between this two things? Can it come from the ECU? Thank for you help Bubuche
