i'll start at the beginning,a few months ago while driving along the motorway in 5th about 80 mph put me foot down and clutch slipped slightly then o.k went to le mans gave it some punishment everything o.k the other night pulls away o.k but slips in 2nd,3rd,4th and 5th badly. gets in it today everything o.k. :confused: the clutch has only done 15,000 .any advise? the cars going to the garage on monday and i don't want to get ripped off. cheers malc.

I was going opposite direction..ZED was a nice goldy colour....

... but when it's functional (and blue) then it has to be done ! Difference with this strut brace with integrated master cylinder brace is that it actually fits - first time, no messing, no fouling the bonnet. I also now have about 5 different shades of blue under the bonnet .. :D LOL

That is what my friend the mechanic said. Good news is the Zed passed the MOT but the water pump has let go :cry: :cry: fook i said and after he had just put the front bumper/rad/ new auto cooler and induction kit on + new tyres and discs and pads !! :smash: :smash: Never mind managed to get a new OE pump next day for under £70. All, I saw on the net that stock is 15° We can increase horse power by increasing it up to 19° max. That what I've read on the How to section!!! My problem is that my car is running 25°. I have an ECU upgrade (coming from ebay TechXL is you know him) and I have boost jet. I should run 0.9 bar (13.5 psi) pressure but I've install a quick pressure gauge this afternoon and I have only 0.7 bar (10.5 psi). Is there a relation between this two things? Can it come from the ECU? Thank for you help Bubuche

I've just changed a water pipe on the Z and topped the system with water for now to check all is ok. Whats the capacity of the cooling system? And what mix of coolant and water do you use? I was thinking 50/50. Chris.

Just purchased myself a set of speedo clock from SPLATT and upon trying to fit them I have just found that the plugs on mine are sligthtly different shapes and sizes. His clocks are converted jap clocks with 180mph facias and my car is a j/spec but on the rear the connection points to mine are different ,and I am unable to plug them in , is there a work around , I can possibly mod one of the plugs to make it fit but the other is way different . I can send some one pics if you wish . .I dont want to mod the wires only to find them going bang

Hi All, Well my stereo bizarrely died early on (couple of hours ago) so I thought I'd check the obvious stuff first (fuses). However... neither of the fuseboxes by the front wings appear to contain the relevant fuse. But apparently there's another fusebox somewhere around the drivers footwell. Question is how on earth do I get to it? Thanks, Bart

Pulled away from a junction this afternoon, and suddenly had no power in the autobox! Plenty of revs, but nothing at all in any position in the box! Engine was warm (up to temp), as I'd used it not all that long before this journey, there is plenty of oil in the box, and everything else works normally. It has the Jap oil cooler still fitted. Now for the strange bit, after the two or so hours to get home (on the back of a truck) I struck her up and I was able to move her!!!! Any help greatfully appreciated. Thanks very much.

LOL - a mate of mine told me about a grey Zed ("Just like yours") which he saw reverse out of a driveway in Three Bridges (near Crawley) and knock a kid off his push bike :slap: Think it happened this week and the kid was fine :cool: Anyone going to own up to this one ;) Steve :)

im going to change the oil in my zed, i have been told by a few people to use an engine flush and let it tick over for 15 mins then drop the oil then refill with castrol 10/60. is this ok to do, i have read some of the conflicting posts here about which is the best way.. i want to do this tomorrow so please can someone just give me a definitive answer to this without causing an argument.. lol engine flush or flush with a cheap oil (what oil?) thanks guys

Hi guys, I have a prop shaft rattle that I want to get sorted. I am currently in negotiations to get a good second hand one, but I have a couple of questions. Is there any difference between NA and TT shafts? and any difference between manual and autos? Also do I need to get specific bearings? Where does the powersteering fluid go?? it stopped working yesterday for a brief moment, just wanna see if it's normal level. The belt's ok btw.

looked through the old postings on the fact the gearstick moves back and fore when revved or driving etc.. looks like the bushes have had it.. whats the best short shifter to get? and whats the process of removing the old original gearstick mech and fitting a new one?

Managed to get my Apexi AVC-R Boost controller wired in by MrP :bow: I just need help with the plumbing, the pressure sensor is straight forward enough, it the solinoid valve I need help with. Am I righ in saying that I get a length of hose run it from 1 acuator into a T piece, then another length from the other actuator to the other end of the T piece. With the remaining spigot on the T piece going to the (com) spigot on the solenoid valve? where do I conect the hose that comes from the (No) spigot on the solenoid valve? cheers john D

I just bought the car, a guy owed my dad the some money and the car just there, the guy hadn't used it in a year, so you can imagine how it was. I took it to a mecanic in Tijuana, Mexico (because it's cheaper, than anywhere in California). They changed the fuel injecters, the gas pump and lines, the brakes, the filters, the oil, etc. And now I don't know where to start. I've never been a real car fanatic, do you have any advice?
